  1. To use a time scale to limit PDF files being used or viewed even if they have been uploaded to a Web Page.

    We have a very High Profile Client who has requested that we provide a service whereby he can stop people viewing his PDF files after a specified time scale. At present they have to monitor the numerous websites where their PDF file have been uploaded to and request that that are taken down. They want this function to automatically stop the PDF from being viewed.

    Could you elaborate on the problem you are facing and exact steps to reproduce the problem?

  3. I have a lease document where the end brackets mysteriously stick around on one page. The tag works fine when uploaded to Adobe Sign but the brackets are still there. All of the tags and brackets work fine in other parts of the document (even with the extra spaces at the end between the text and end brackets).

    Here are the shortcut tags I used for the bottom two:

    {{#propertyAddress=propertyAddresses:prefill:font(size=auto)}}
    {{#startDate=
    startDatees:prefill:isdate}}

    I also tried taking out "font(size=auto)" on both tags, but that didn't seem to help.

    Currently using Mac Sierra, Adobe InDesign CC2018, and…

  4. KDP/Kindle/Amazon reformats PDFs badly--photos are scattered + mal-sized, text overlaid other text (espec. after photos). Could Adobe put attention on this problem, plz. Editing PDF in Adobe does not solve problem. (Consider: Would creating smaller original PDFs (in Kindle size, for instance) make converting to Kindle, or any small format, more accurate?)

  8. Hi, Once a receiver has opened a password protected file, it should be possible to remove the password if one wants. I am too sick of this.
    As an example, I get monthly bill from the Mobile operators for just few dollars. The bill needs to be uploaded for claim. Currently I have to take the print the PW protected file first, then scan the printed copy and save it and then again upload it

    Document Open Password cannot be removed unless document editing permissions are given to the password. So ,considering the issue resolved.

  9. Your software has always been terrible, no surprise there. But today I opened the garbage referred to as Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I encountered something conflicting. It seems as if Acrobat has decided I no longer have a subscription and can't edit pdfs. Clicking on my name in the corner sends me to a web page clearly showing my subscription to Acrobat Pro DC.
    At first glance I thought this was a bug, and it probably is. But on further consideration I think this might actually be a feature. See in the past Acrobat Pro performed as expected. Start…

  10. When distilling attached Postscript the generated PDF shows error when opening. I have narrowed it down to an image which has imagemask set to true as well as mask array in it. This is incorrect as per specification.

    I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.0.0.

  11. I am running Windows 10. Since the last Adobe Acrobat Pro update, the program has been absolutely awful. Opening a document is a minute long process much less doing anything else to it. I had to download another program to be able to view PDFs for work. Very frustrating. Been like this for at least a month.

  13. After 2 years and 7 months I am just learning that I have to be signed in to use my subscription to Acrobat Dc properly. Maybe this is understood but it would have been nice if it was explained back in 2015. I have been using software that works sometime and not others. I found it hard to edit or save files at times and thought the software was a beta version (not fully tested)

  18. This is a recurring problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: When a file is closed in Acrobat (by closing the corresponding tab), the program doesn't not release the file. As a result, the file cannot be renamed or moved until Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is closed. I have attached an image of the error dialog that pops up. This is on Windows.

    Of course, this is a major inconvenience because I have many tabs open and closing Adobe merely to be able to rename a file that's no longer supposed to be open in Adobe is not something that enhances…

    The error here explains that the PDF is opened in Adobe PRO.

    This could be because the file is still writing the changes made in the PDF.

    Could be that the file is opened from a server location/shared servers. And that the change is waiting to commit.

  19. One Acrobat instance installed but 2 instances of Acrobat PRO DC running concurrently prevent PDFs from opening. Only solution is to quit "both" Acrobats and try again. Uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat does not help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the entire ACC suite does not help either. Problems observed in three separate, not networked Macs. No Acrobat Free Reader installed on the systems either.

    Hi Andres,

    Can you elaborate on the behavior here:
    1. What happens when you open a PDF with Acrobat? Does it trigger two instances of Acrobat.
    2. When you just launch Acrobat from finder, does that also trigger two separate instances.

    Thanks

  20. I have MS Surface Book. I draw on screen all the time. I draw on PDFs in free apps. It should be possible in this, very expensive one, don't you think?
