  1. Your new interface is complete garbage. I have been using this software for years, and while I have been able to adapt to a lot of changes, you swapping the location of the bookmarks and tools is completely unwarranted and terrible. This is literally painful to look at. Who ever thought this was a good idea should go live in computer purgatory with that stupid Microsoft paperclip.

  2. Hi, the top bar menu is gone. I can't find where to get it back. None of the help topics on the internet resolve the issue. I presume you've specifically disabled the ways to make your application usable. Your application is becoming unusable.

  3. Why does anyone at Adobe think it's a good idea to move everything around and make it more difficult to keep workflow going? The new interface is not intuitive and causes me to spend way more time just trying to figure out where the tools went than it actually takes to do whatever I need to do. This is not good. In fact, I'd say I absolutely hate it. From the rest of the comments I see about the same thing, I would say I'm not alone in this!

    Why, Adobe? Just why!!!!!!!!!

  4. The Translation of the newly introduced function "open last session" in the actual (2019.012.20035.4663) German GUI is "PDFs auf letzter Sitzung öffnen" the better Translation would be "PDFs aus letzter Sitzung öffnen".
    You see the typo ?

  5. Everything about the new update is worse than the previous version. I get terrible slowdown and "not responding" messages literally every time I use it, and the FIND function in particular has been ruined. It barely works, and constantly shifts itself out of the search bar. PLEASE REVERT THIS FUTURE TO THE WAY IT USED TO BE. Otherwise the software is almost unusuable.

  6. All menus should stay at the TOP out of the way, not all over the sides eating up my document real-estate. And now there's a FLOATING MENU RIGHT ON TOP OF MY DOCUMENT that I cannot get rid of. A moderator commented - Choose Help/Check for Updates, and update your acrobat and that floating menu will be docked again. But it says NO UPDATE AVAILABLE.

PLEASE leave the user interface CONFIGURABLE so we can set it up the way we need.

I long for the old days when the Acrobat interface was open and simple... instead of trying to cram…

  7. The previous version of Acrobat commenting was simple and intuitive. You place your cursor and start typing for "insert", highlight and type automatically "replaces", highlight and delete automatically deletes. The new interface is slow, cumbersome, unintuitive and forces you to constantly change tool.

Bring back contextual typing. I've downloaded an older version since this version is useless for comments.

  8. Trash the entire new system and go back to the previous version immediately. This is not a case of people needing to get used to it. It is fundamentally flawed in so many ways that I can't even list them. You can easily find them from anybody else who tries to use your software daily. The last major update prior to this was pretty poor, but this one is one of the worst interface updates I have ever seen for any platform. Ever.

  9. This is someone else's comment, but so apropos! "Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think"."

    This is impossible to use.

I chose the "user interface" category only because I couldn't select "all of the above." I also created an account for the sole purpose of posting this.

  10. Your new interface update is horrible. I understand the need for simplification the attempt to make things easier for the end user, but not every one has the same needs. I don't NEED a tool bar that I can't get rid of or at least customize for my needs. I need a program that will give me the option to select and de-select the functions I use on a daily basis. I don't care about e-sign, but I would like to have an icon to organize pages with out having to go through two or three menus.

    Yes you made…

  11. Please remove the new "Create" button in the tabs area. This is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. I keep accidentally clicking on it when I want to close a tab or move the window, and then Acrobat is inoperable for up to 1 minute and a stupid spinner rotates in the middle of the window, only to display a new button "Select files". This contradicts 100% the rest of the user interface of the tool.
If you don't remove this, then please make the button optional so that it can be hidden effortlessly. I will never use…

  12. When attempting to enter a text box in the top RH corner of a document the tool covers the area the document I am editing. Have the tools we want to use permanently displayed

Hi User, Thanks for reaching out to us.
The workaround for this is to click on the text properties icon bar to hide the properties so that you can easily see the text box.
Please let us know if this works for you.

For the second ask, can you explain the issue again as we are not clear with the ask here.

  13. Apparently the new interface does not allow you to select, and keep selected, text comments. ALso, you can no longer make window selections to select multiple text comments at one time. Also, you cannot keep text selected, or have the option to double click to edit text. This new interface has tripled the time it takes for me to comment on documents. Please give US the option of how we want to handle selections!

  15. The new Acrobat UI does not follow the "Hide Toolbars" setting from "Document Properties" > "Initial View".

    Acrobat Version: 2023.003.20269
    Platform: Windows 11 22H2

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open a PDF and then open the Document Properties dialog. Click on the "Initial View" tab, check the "Hide tool bars" option under "User Interface Options".
    2. Save the PDF and then close it. With Acrobat using the new UI model, open the PDF a second time, the "All Tools" side bar is displayed. Expected behaviour: the All Tools toolbar should not be shown as per the User Interface Option settings.

  16. Worst user interface in the world and ever.

Why the **** can't your filth software adhere to it when a PDF is supposed to open with the bookmarks pane?

Just go *** with this wretched muck, but read this before:

  17. You can on longer see the zoom level, or the pages. You have to do more clicks to do the same operations than before. It's terrible. Give people the option to revert back to the older better version. I'm going to use another PDF viewer in the mean time. I'm done with this one.

  19. The presentation and wording used when creating an Action Wizard to export a group of PDF files to TIFFs is inconsistent and confusing compared to how it is done when exporting a single PDF from the main menu. At the main menu 'Export To' is its own selection at the same level as 'Save', however, in the Wizard I have to first select "Save" (twice) to get to the place where I can tell do an "Export To". And to further add to the confusion you have this other TIFF export option named "Export All Images As TIFF" that led…

  20. Please revert back to an older version. I hate the new DC version. I used to be able to have my frequently used toolbars readily available when I opened acrobat. Now I have to use several additional clicks to get to the tools I need. It defeats the purpose of paying for acrobat when it defaults to nothing more than a reader. I've spent considerable time looking for a setting to leave the toolbars on the side of my extremely wide screen, but they are well hidden if available at all, and I refuse to sign in to anything.
