  1. I often deal with PDFs with hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of edits. The Comments panel in Acrobat DC includes way too much blank space, including a title line ("Strikethrough Text", "Highlighted Text", etc.) and needlessly provides a default "Type your reply..." area for every comment. This isn't Facebook (meaning, replies aren't always necessary). Please provide preferences that allow comments to appear in more compact form, as they did with Acrobat X or Acrobat 11.

  2. Remove "Check out new e-sign tools" hint from the bottom of a side bar.
I am already familiar with this "new and revolutionary" feature...
I don't need to find out about it every time I open Acrobat.

  3. I have a major problem with the Date of Signing field.
Because I work in a regulated industry, all our documents are controlled and therefore must go through an approval process before they can be released. The previous version of esign allowed the text size of the Date of Signing to be controlled with the box size so I could fit the date inside the document field. The new version puts date of a standard size font into the space I designate, regardless of how small/large I make the box. The result is that the date is cut…

  4. When auto-complete is turned on for a form, field entries are being saved but some randomly fail to auto-complete. For a form created in Acrobat, I can go to Edit-->Preferences-->Forms-->Auto-Complete-->Edit Entry List and see all the strings I would like to auto-complete. But some of them never auto-complete while others always do. I can find no common factor in the fields that are failing. See the attached form that you may experiment with. Support reproduced this bug and could not get all fields to work either. Case number 189034266

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.

  5. "The lock document after signing" checkbox is not keyboard accessible.

    WCAG 2.0 and 2.1

    Success Criteria 2.1.1 Keyboard Accessibility

To reproduce this problem open the test.pdf and select the signature field. Choose or create a digital signature and select Continue.
Use the tab key to navigate the document.
You will see that keyboard focus moves from the Create button (upper right) to "View Certificate Details" and "Lock document after signing" never receives Focus.

"Lock document after signing" is not keyboard accessible.

Tested on WIndows 7 and WIndows 10 with Acrobat DC Pro and Reader 2019.021.20061 and 2019.021.20058.

  6. Some Forms (IRS) restrict areas of the document where you can enter information. This can be helpful, except when you need to sign and date the form after you have filled it in. For some reason the "date" part of the form will not accept text from "Fill and Sign", but it will accept a stamp. All of the default dynamic stamps in Acrobat have additional, un-needed text like "Approved', etc.

Please add two dynamic stamps that have ONLY 1) the Date and 2) Date and Time without any additional verbage so that the user can quickly…

  7. I need several people to sign a release form. I'd like to put the email addresses (there are 38 in this example) in and have Adobe Sign send a form to each recipient. THIS IS NOT MULTIPLE SIGNATURES ON ONE FORM. It is ONE signature on ONE form sent to MANY people.

  8. Just tried this out on a scanned PDF of Japanese text with the latest Acrobat Pro (2023.008.20470) and the results were completely unusable. Searching for any text on the page had zero results (even simple hiragana). Copying and pasting text gave me wildly inaccurate kanji and other symbols. macOS Preview does a pretty good job of letting me search and copy text from the same document, even my own poor handwriting, and I don't even have to wait for a progress bar.

  9. When writing in the fill in portion of the form, I used to be able to right click and underline, bold, italicize, highlight, superscript or subscript my text. I am no longer able to do this and I am super frustrated.

Please go back to Prepare Forms> edit mode and enable “Allow Rich Text Formating” for the text field

Once done, you should be able to get the formatting options under right click context menu.

    I hope this helps.

  10. Please enable the export of images along with text from a "_Response.pdf" file. It now only exports text to .csv files.

Our client will have ~10,000 fillable forms annually that come back with both text filled in, and images attached.

Ideally, the mix of text and images could be exported to an Alteryx database, which can contain text, images, and spatial objects. Extension .yxdb.

Less ideally, any method of extracting the images with a link to the text would be great. Like saving the images in jpg or png format to a local directory, and the text

  11. Whenever I use "File → Save as Other → Reader Extended PDF → Enable More Tools (Includes form fill-in & save)" to save my form. The form in the resulting file cannot be edited. Why? This effectively causes me to have to maintain three copies of my PDF forms: One with no form controls, one converted to a form, and one with More Tools enabled.

  12. Too much time is wasted by doing the simple little things and I want to address the little things that make PDF editing a big time consumer.

    1) When copy and pasting anything from images, Text and especially New Text Fields they should paste right on top of their duplicate by default location.

    A) It's easier to locate them
    B) Way too time consuming moving it back to the default location so then you can continue on and just keyboard arrow key them over and into place where you want
It wastes so much time especially when you have…

  13. You need to be able to set the text callout bubble height and width of the comment boxes without having to resize every single one individually. This is a huge waste of time. And I think it would make this program more efficient.

  14. Please forward to your designers:

Your OCR and optimization settings are all guesswork and generally produce counter-intuitive results in terms of image quality and file size.

Not only are the results counter-intuitive, it seems there is no combination of settings which does not create a fuzzy mess of the text.

Adobe is incomprehensibly inept at handling its own creation.

NO response from customer for three months. Closing the thread.

  15. Until today, when I used the add text feature in fill & sign, text would automatically pop up. I use this feature multiple times a day. Now I have to retype the same thing over and over. This is going to cost me lots of time in my day, as I do this about 20 times every single day. Please restore the feature.

  16. The website is not accepting my vote on another idea (although I am logged in), so I'm adding more ideas.
    Multiple issues:
    1. The new icon-based styles for editing or commenting are completely nonintuitive; other than printing/saving/zooming/scrolling from the other toolbars, I don't know what any of the buttons mean.
    2. Please move some buttons from editing to commenting or vice versa, or combine their toolbars, or rename their bars. It is ridiculously hard to figure out how to add a rectangular shape in the new Acrobat Pro. It was easy in my last version of Acrobat Pro
    3. Please…

  17. Acrobat PRO 2020 - Running text recognition rotates random pages wrongly

We have testet and confirmed the problem does NOT exist in Adobe Acrobat 2017, but it does happen in Acrobat DC and Acrobat PRO 2020

Due to company security policy we run offline versions of the software with local license verification.

When doing OCR or Text recognition nomatter what we do, it randomly rotate pages during the scanning process. No matter what settings we set.

  18. Adobe Customer Care recommended I post the request here. It might not be a problem with Acrobat per se, but a lot of people seem to have the same problem. Standard Python libraries for automating the filling of fields work fine--when the pdf is opened with some other viewers. But in Acrobat the field content does not display until the field is clicked. Marked checkboxes are also not displaying. The issue is explained partly at the links below, but solutions do not seem to be reliable:

  19. It is not an idea, it is a bug.

When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function. When I go to properties/calculations and user definted calcuations and add the copied text there, click ok enough times thennothing happens. when i look into…

  20. When adding Radio Buttons on forms, users need options for "Open Square" and "Open Circle" Button Styles. The inside/middle of the button should be transparent, so that users can easily see the text behind their underlying choice. This would simulate users circling a choice with a pencil/marker rather than completely "filling in" the circle or square.

Additionally, it would be nice to be able to change line color and line thickness of the "open circle" or "open square". Currently, users can only change the border color and line thickness of ALL radio buttons, regardless of whether the button is…
