1. Expand properties for Strikeout and Replace tools (so lines could be thickened)

   It's often hard to see the line added by the Replace and Strikethrough tool. Being able to change the color helps, but being able to thicken the line would be a huge help to those with vision challenges. Why not give users the same properties that are available for the line tool?

2. The latest version is horrible

   The latest version of Acrobat is horrible. Why did you have to completely flip the entire interface so it is backward. The tools are not readily accessible as they were before. This is a terrible idea. Please offer an option to change the interface back to the tool we know and can use quickly and efficiently. I'm trying to get work done!

3. "Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened" will not stay disabled.

   See title. If the box is unchecked, it will be checked again the next time the preferences screen is opened.

4. Menu Bar back on top

   I hate the features bar on the right side. It is not natural to go to the bottom of a window to change the zoom or use tools that should be on the top ribbon. Please allow users to choose where they would like these tools. This is a horrible user experience and should definitely something people should be allowed to choose. This is going to cause so much more work for me when I need to comment a bunch on a document because I will have to click on a menu to get a comment box. I sometimes have up to 45 comments on a document that I have to work on weekly and you have just added an additional 45 clicks to my workload. I need the comment button to be on the top as well as the zoom options. I also would like my UI window to be clean. I don’t like floating menus and I need to be able to remove it please like we use to be able to do.
   I mean really if it isn’t broken don’t mess with it. You had a great UI and now you have turned into garbage.

5. New Simplified Appearance

   Go back to the old layout appearance as this new one sucks. You have taken what once just lived in the old file menu bar, hen taken it and shifted repeatable functionalities to the right hand side bar in the previous "new layout", but this "new simplified" layout takes that and now gives you two side bars and almost no functional "settings" adjustments you can make all from one place. You have decentralized all the settings, options, and tools thus making it look more sparse but in actuality making it less simplified.

   Do better.

   Don't change the appearance and functionalities and call it simplified when you havemade it harder than just having everything in the top file menu bar.

   This is poor design, poor engineering, and lacklustre coding, and in keeping with Adobe's continual efforts to thwart actual usability without paying for functionality and use.

6. Thumbs down to the new interface

   I'm sure the new features are very powerful and an improvement over the previous version; however, swapping the entire interface from left to right feels like an affectation by the visual design team. For one thing, moving the save, print, etc., functions from the left side of the window to the right means that now Adobe is backwards from every other design or word processing program out there. Yes, Google did this as well and I still hate it, so no points to you for trying to copy them. Having the tools on the right side was consistent with your other programs like Photoshop - I haven't opened photoshop recently so I don't know if that has changed also. Either way, it's distracting to have the tools feel like they're in the primary position on the left side of the window rather than having the document be the priority. I do like the new signature tool, allowing me to sign documents in fewer steps. But it should be on the right side! Having the floating toolbar hoover over the left side of the document also feels strange, as once again the left side of the document will always be more text heavy as we are a left-to-right culture, whereas the right side of the document often has more negative space. Just my initial thoughts on the new interface. Not a fan.

7. Free-hand Pen Tool

   A free-hand pen tool would be in Adobe's best interest. This tool would allow users to mark a PDF with a digital pen of sorts.

   Other document editors that are inferior in many other ways have been winning out with both myself and many other consumers because of the free-hand drawing & annotating capablities.

   The "+ Create" button needs to be removed from the Tab bar and placed onto the All Tools bar. I routinely hit the Create button when intending to resize or move the Acrobat window, the button quite literally couldn't be in a worse place. (Even just moving it to the front of the tabs would alleviate the issue) The only option to hide the button is to disable the new Acrobat, which is ridiculous.

    The new Adobe is disaster. It is hopeless to use. It is not stable, all the times i need to close it by task menager. All the tools is not simple to find. Even to make comments to document You need to spend fiew minutes to find option. All the many was moved to reverse side, to right, when earlier was on left. 11. Request to move "All Tools" back to right side

    Request to move the toolbar back to the right side of the screen. It's disorienting to have it on the left after so long on working on documents with the prior orientation.

12. Find and Replace to edit comments

    It would be great to be able to batch edit comments in the Comments pane. For example, to use the Search function and find all comments with something like a common spelling error or incorrect text, then use a Find and Replace function across all the found comments to replace the text with new text.

13. If we uncheck "Enable AI," actually disable it for us.

    I very intentionally do not have "Enable generative AI features in Acrobat" checked in my Preferences. For security reasons, I can't use AI in my work, nor do I want to. This appears to be the only place I can indicate my choice not to use Adobe's AI features.

    However, I still have:
    1) a pop-up pushing AI every time I open Adobe;
    2) a bright flashy button at the top of my screen pushing AI;
    3) now when I highlight a word the popup with editing tools ALSO includes an "ask AI assistant" option.

    This is incredibly distracting when editing documents. Please trust users when they attempt to opt out of this feature and stop shoving it in our faces. In the meantime, I'll be testing alternate PDF markup programs free of this garbage.

14. Make less complex - make graphic editing friendly

    Paint has the tools needed for commenting on eg a Music Score under PDF. Why re-invent the wheel with the clumsy clunky and partly unavailable Adobe Drawing tools under 'Edit'. Suggest collaboration with Paint and huge de-cluttering of the highly confusing and awfully corporate Adobe platform. Pro very poor value and re set password an Odyssean journey.

15. Restore direct to email tool in menu bar, en

    Restore email tool that directly attaches document to an email in the user's client software, or provide a way to customize the tool to do that. Tool in new version opens a new window with various Adobe ecosystem options, adding an unnecessary work step.

16. Arabic script with Fill & Sign

    This topic has been discussed before, but I want to share one thing the team might find useful.

    Now we tell all Acrobat users that Adobe Fill and Sign doesn't support Arabic. But when you look at it, we are able to type Arabic very well on Desktop machines and mobile devices.

    On a Mac for instance, as an Adobe CC subscriber, I have to choose English in Preferences for my Acrobat language in order to show [ Fill & Sign, Send and Track, and Send for Signature ] features in Tools workspace. If I go and change Acrobat language to Arabic, or English with Arabic Support above three features will not be displayed any longer.     I cannot test Arabic with Adobe Fill and Sign with Acrobat Language changed to Arabic in Preferences to see if it handles Arabic fully. I bet Acrobat team can do this for us.

    To shed light on this issue… as long as I'm within the Fill & Sign environment, I'm able to type and view Arabic that I typed as expected, it is once I leave Fill &Sign environment that Arabic words get fragmented and all characters get disjointed. So could this be to the fact that we must change the Language of Acrobat itself to Arabic so that Fill & Sign to function well? This I cannot verify and test due to he reason I mentioned above that some features will disappear from Acrobat upon selecting Arabic for language.

17. I need it on Linux - Kubuntu

    I need your full suite of products, specially those related to pdf, (reader, editor, etc.), for work on Linux, kubuntu or Debian.
    I know of there are many companies of the lack of these tools jeopardize the switch of the work stations to Linux, for the daily office task.

    Thanks for your suggestion, but currently we have don’t have any plans to offer our Acrobat on Linux.

18. Hitting the Escape key deletes unsaved comment content

    Closing a comment with the Esc key deletes text entered into the comment.

    Details:

    System: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit Build 19042
    OS-Language: German
    Application Language: German
    Acrobat DC / Acrobat Reader DC Version: 2022.001.20142

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Open PDF; PDF:X4 created with InDesign CC 2022 (17.3) using placeholder text generated by InDesign
    2. Open commenting toolbar
    3. Select text or place cursor
    4. Start writing ("lorem ipsum")
    5. Hit "Esc" key

    Expected Result: Comment gets closed and text input is saved

    Actual Result: Comment gets closed and only the first keystroke ("l") is saved

    The same error can be observed for all commenting tools, however if you do not start the comment by writing in the PDF, not even the first keystroke will leave a trace if exiting the comment with the Esc key.

    Closing a comment with the Esc key deletes text entered into the comment.

    Details:

19. Can we have the old one back. This is too cumbersome.

    So hard to use and wastes so much of my time looking for things.
    I just need the preview/navigator on the side so I can rotate or crop and a highlighter in the tools and the hand to move the page around. Every time I open a file it defaults back to nothing I can use. Please bring back version 10

20. Tool icon missing fgrom Tool page

    The icon / link on the TOols page which lead to the Merge Data into Spreadsheet dialogue has suddenly disappeared from my cop of Acobat Pro 2017. How can I get it back? I can access the function by loading a form and then using the 'Edit' command, but two weeks agao there was a tool icon available.

    You can use the following steps to
    > Right Click on the Tools bar and select "Customize Quick Tools.
    >Navigate to “Prepare Form” > More Form Options
    > Click on the “Add to toolbar” button.
    > Click Save.

    You should now have the “Merge Data into Spreadsheet” as a drop down options now.
