  1. Hello Adobe,

I just noticed that you guys have a pretty nice PDF tool online. I use online PDF tools more than my desktop tools as sometimes I am on architecture like ARM that does not have the features I need. I love the export features of the online acrobat.

  3. Not being able to view participants in side pane when first opening the program.

Steps to reproduce and observed result:
Once the Acrobat Pro is open and I go to the agreements, I wait a moment for them to load. I click on one of the files to view the information pane to see which people are involved in that file to see who completed the form. When I go to click the tab to view the people, the pane closes and I have to click the file in the list again. It will do this a few times. I…

  4. I know I had this functionality in Adobe in 2014, but I was able to customize the mapping for keyboard shortcuts for tools I frequently used. In 2014 I mapped 'ctrl + shift + x' so that a text comment could be added wherever I clicked. I did turn on single-key accelerators, which is just 'x' as of recently in 2022. I just want to map my own shortcuts so that I can also create a text callout (for example, 'ctrl + shift + y'). I don't see text callout as a single-key accelerator option. I did use the cycle…

  5. Please revert back to the old layout. Trying to add comments is just painful. I used to be able to quickly select the tools to delete, change and replace, add comments and highlight with ease.

Now everything requires an extra step which is just slowing the process. And now it looks like I can no longer cross text out (without replacing). Please revert back. It was the perfect tool before. Now it's just awkward and cumbersome and it's leaving me so frustrated.

  7. The icon / link on the TOols page which lead to the Merge Data into Spreadsheet dialogue has suddenly disappeared from my cop of Acobat Pro 2017. How can I get it back? I can access the function by loading a form and then using the 'Edit' command, but two weeks agao there was a tool icon available.

You can use the following steps to
    > Right Click on the Tools bar and select "Customize Quick Tools.
    >Navigate to “Prepare Form” > More Form Options
    > Click on the “Add to toolbar” button.
    > Click Save.

You should now have the “Merge Data into Spreadsheet” as a drop down options now.

    I hope this helps

  8. When my team uses the updated Shared Review, they do not have access to all of the commenting tools as they did prior to the update.

The REPLACE TEXT, INSERT TEXT etc. are vital to our review process. Not having these tools available prevents us from updating the InDesign layout using the new PDF COMMENTS feature.

So, to sum it up, we were excited about updates that are not working because they were not fully deployed with the features we need.

    Thanks for your feedback !

We have added this in our backlog, will let you know once we implement it in future.

  9. Unfortunately Acrobat DC buries an important tool; the ability to select text. I believe it is hidden somewhere, but I have yet to find it. It is very common to want to select some text in a document. Why bury a common task deep within the program? There seems to be the trend these days with software to a have a minimalist interface and bury the most common tools. My toolbar has the least commonly used tools as standard.

  10. I understand engineers need to make a living, and therefore must come up with new and adventurous ways to "optimize" content. With the 23.001.20177 release of Pro tools are now delegated to one visible and one hidden list in the left sidebar. PDF standards are near the bottom of the hidden list. I use this all the time, so now I must go through multiple points and clicks to perform a task that was one click before. Either go back to the previous configuration or allow the toolbar to be customized. (I saw "solved" on an old previous thread on…

  11. We need a keyboard shortcut for "go to the next sticky note." This would prevent my having to scroll through the comments pane if I have a lot of callouts and text boxes (in addition to sticky notes).

Sorting the comments doesn't work; I need to be able to see the text boxes and callouts as I'm reviewing the sticky notes.

  13. When you have elements with no alt-text you get accessibility errors when running the checker. However, if you right click on the error and choose "fix" and walk through the items and mark them as decorative, instead of actually making them an artifact it simply changes the tag to "Artifact" which is not a valid tag and creates other errors. You then have to go in and properly designate the objects as Artifacts properly for the other errors to go away. VERY Frustrating. Come on Adobe Acrobat!

This is a repeatable condition and needs to be fixed immediately please!

    Hi,
Thank you for contacting us. I have raised the issue with the engineering team. We have kept it our radar and will be fixing it in the near future.

Meanwhile I would suggest you to use Reading Order tool to mark the Figure as Artifact for fixing the issue.

Please update to the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC to experience new features.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  14. SINCE ITS NEW UPDATE ADOBE HAS BEEN MORE COMPREHENSIVE AND THIS TOOL BAR I WISH IT WERE ON TOP AS BEFORE AND NOT ON THE SIDE AND IT IS LESS VISIBLE. BESIDES, IT BECAME NOT USER FRIENDLY. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT ALL OF NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND IF THEY ARE GOOD FOR USERS. THEY DO NOT THINK THAT WE WANT EASY ACCESS TO TOOLS AND NOT SPENDING TIME TO SEARCH EVERY SINGLE TOOLS. THE LAYOUT IS NOT FRIENDLY TOO. EVERY TIME THEY UPDATE ADOBE IS BECOMING WORST AND WORST AND COMPLICATED.

  16. It is nearly impossible to find some tools in the Tool groups, as they are frequently grouped in a way that is not intuitive. Searching for a tool such as "Zoom" would greatly enhance the customization of my Acrobat product for the things I frequently need.

  17. Windows environment.

When using the Edit PDF Tool to change minor character styles (color, weight, underscore, etc.), the Tag structure and read order for the page the edit is applied are broken.

For example: change the color of a header (H1) line of text. Return to the Tags Panel and all current page content has been consolidated into one <p> Tag. All the original Tags associated with this page are empty and placed randomly through the Tag Structure. Depending on page content, you may be unable to break apart the new tag single into the individual Tags necessary for…

  18. In the Home tab there should be the following main tools listed:
    - Open (Document)
    - Create PDF
    - Combine files

Those are what we use the most.

My Home is showing Organize Pages, Fill & Sign, and Protect.I don't use those.

Or, you can add the tools bar to the Home so I don't have to switch to the tools tab.

  19. This is about both editing and exporting PDFs.
The attached PDF has an explicit explanation of the issues + screenshots. Text from the attached file goes right here.

I’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.006.30355.

    On Web page https://www.zm.gov.lv/mezi/statiskas-lapas/nozares-informacija/buklets-meza-nozare-latvija-?nid=1088#jump
..there is a link to a PDF file "Latvia's Forests During 20 Years of Independence" 2010, https://www.zm.gov.lv/public/ck/files/ZM/mezhi/buklets/MN_20_EN.pdf
The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues.

In the said file, page 47 there…

  20. Whoever made the tools sidebar THIS convoluted to operate is ********. Yes, he is allowed to take it personal. Fire that guy. Give us a Default toggle for the sidebar tools, not this half-assed "remember state of" toggle that is buried in the corner.
