2. Preserve font settings

   Every time I use alternate characters or style set of a font in a PDF created in Illustrator or InDesign, if the text is edited in Acrobat the characters revert back the the default.

   An example is using the font Circular. If I set my font to style set 2 (single story "a") in Illustrator or InDesign, and try to edit the PDF in Acrobat, the font defaults to style set 1 (double story "a").

   It would be nice if Acrobat either preserved advanced font settings or offered the same settings. What is the point of customizing your fonts in these other programs if something as simple as editing text changes it all.

   Additionally, the reason I think this should be available is because the documents I work on are sent to clients who are not designers and do not have the creative suite. And while I wish copy would be final when I send these off, sometimes that just isn't the case and they would like to be able to tweak a word here and there.

   Not to mention, it just seems obvious to me that font settings should be preserved.

4. highlight default

   Multiple users (in Adobe Acrobat and Reader) are reporting that when they change their Highlight Tool to White (unsure if any other color is originating this issue but able to reproduce it with White) and select Make Properties to Default that on next launch it does show as White as the default for Highlight tool. However, they are unable to then change from White to any other color as default. It will continue to revert to White for all future closing and reopens of the software.

   Highlight Tool Default is Yellow

   am a paying customer of Adobe Acrobat, and I am writing to express my frustration with the complexity of the tool. I believe that Adobe Acrobat should provide a straightforward and user-friendly interface that allows users to perform simple tasks, such as creating a PDF from multiple images and saving it to a computer, without unnecessary complications.

   It feels like Adobe has had decades to refine this product, yet the process remains overly complicated and unintuitive. I don’t understand why it has to be so hard to perform basic tasks. I don’t need an AI assistant in this tool—I need a simple, clear interface that lets me do what I need to do without delays or confusion.

   I am using Adobe Acrobat specifically because I need a secure tool to handle personal documents, and I have paid for this product expecting it to meet my needs. I urge the development team to prioritize simplicity and ease of use in future updates. Please make it easier for users to accomplish basic tasks without having to navigate through complex menus or features.

   Additionally, I am frustrated that even submitting feedback to Adobe is unnecessarily complicated. I was directed to a third-party platform where I was required to create an account, log in, and search for the right page, only to find that there was no clear option to submit feedback. This process should be simplified so that users can easily provide feedback without jumping through hoops.

   I would appreciate it if you could provide a direct contact email or a simpler way to send feedback to the development team. As a paying customer, I believe it’s important to have a straightforward way to communicate my concerns.

7. Cannot add new text over existing bounding boxes in new version

   Had to revert to the older version to be able to add new text boxes. I'm trying to add text to PDFs of documents saved during the "Print to PDF" feature. When doing so, the bounding boxes are placed in seemingly arbitrary locations, and any attempt to edit them HORRIBLY messes up the formatting. My job requires I add text near the title of the document, but the default bounding box takes up about 4/5ths of the printable area. This hasn't been an issue for me before, as using the "add text" button on the top ribbon opened the appropriate format tool and allowed me to add new text where I choose.

   After the update, however, if I try to use the new "add text" button, it auto selects the massive bounding box, turning the dotted line blue as I mouse over the area. Adding any text or adjusting anything at all within these bounding boxes destroys any cohesion to my document - all existing text becomes a garbled mess. I was able to escape this phenomena by reverting to the older version, but I fear this issue will not be fixed before I am forced to use the updated edition.

   MY SUGGESTION: Make the new "Add Text" button add a new text box wherever desired, regardless of existing bounding boxes. Disable the selection of bounding boxes when using the add text tool. To edit existing text, select the bounding box manually to enter editing mode.

10. Keep tool selected across files like all other creative apps

    I need to edit numerous files at a time, using specific tools. For each document that I access, I have to reselect the tool.

    In InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, the tool selection is independent of the file. i.e. if I have the Type Tool selected in InDesign, and create a new document, it remains selected. If I open 50 files, the Type Tool remains selected until I change it to something else.

    In Acrobat, the tools revert and do not stay selected, resulting in thousands of clicks a week, just to navigate to the tool I need to use on multiple documents. i.e. If I need to edit a text field, I open the files, then select Edit, then select Text. Go to the next document, select Edit, then select Text. Go to the next document, select Edit, then select Text. Go to the next document, select Edit, then select Text.     The display mode buttons are awkward and unclear.
    The icons do not permit to foresee the visualisation behavior.
    The old buttons prior to this innovation were much more convenient.
    Adobe should offer the option of reverting back to the old display.

16. Page thumbnail navigation reverts to top when you return to doc

    If I have 2 docs open and I have scrolled down the list of thumbnails in the thumbnail navigation pane, then switch to the other acrobat doc, then return to the first doc, it now displays the beginning of the thumbnail list and I have to scroll back to where I was every time I return to that document.

    Real-time Collaboration: It would be fantastic to have a real-time editing feature that allows multiple users to work on the same document simultaneously, similar to Google Docs. This would greatly improve workflow for teams working remotely.

    Enhanced Notification System: Implementing a more robust notification system for comments and changes made by collaborators would help users stay updated without constantly checking the document.

    Customizable Comment Tags: Allowing users to create customizable tags or categories for comments would help in organizing feedback and prioritizing changes more effectively.

    Version History Access: Providing an easy way to access and compare previous versions of a document would allow users to track changes and revert if necessary.

    These enhancements would not only streamline the collaborative process but also enhance user satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat as a leading tool for document management.
