  1. Often if I want to copy just a few paragraphs out of a text, it's not possible because I'm unable to select the few instead Acrobat is selecting all of the text. How is it possible to select and copy just these few paragraphs? Can you make it possible? See attached images.

For arabic text bacward and reguar browsing method, horisontal, it can be used mouse too but easyly by arrow keys. Now horisontal and vertical are mixup, it causes disfunktion in brain, when you read a book you say forward but in computer you say down, it doesent make sense because in european culture down is back and up is forward, how we understand things. Past is left and future right, at computer same book…

Due to lack of clarity we are closing this.

  4. Apple MacBook Pro has a feature which allows users to dictate text into documents. Please enable voice dictation for acrobat pro. This feature, which I'm using now to dictate this request, enables users, including those with disabilities that do not permit them to type, to create and edit text in virtually any field and form except for PDF files.

  5. I am currently in graduate school. I use adobe acrobat pro DC all the time to convert my classes powerpoints into pdfs. Once they are formatted as a pdf, I can take notes on them, and it sticks.
I just realized I have been doing it wrong. I have been using the Add Text option, an option within the fill & sign tool. While this has been most effective in taking notes on powerpoints and helping me study, there have been many issues with it.
The fill & sign tool is not made for quick note taking and text

  6. The only option to directly enter text surrounded by a shape is in Comments - or go back to square 1 and reimport the document from Word.
Allow the text entered in Edit PDF to be covered by a shape with optional properties like transparency or colored border and background.

  7. Major Issues with dropdown functionality when sending for signature.

To understand what I mean, certain features that work for text fields don't work for Dropdowns.

Example 1. - When using the Fill & Sign, send for signatures function text fields allow for blank unrequired fields to be sent for signature. Dropdowns do not. You must apply a value for dropdown to not have errors and the value cannot be a simple space.

Example 2 - When using the Fill & Sign, send for signatures function text field values that are pre-filled for customers are accepted and not…

  10. When filling out forms for e-signature we need a way to favorite our commonly used fields. For example if I need to access signature, print name, and date for all of my documents I should be able to have them in their own section so I don't have to toggle back and forth between sections each time.

  11. I am trying to add footers to a form which in Acrobat 11 was very efficient. Since being forced into using DC this capability has become ridiculously slow (15 - 20 secs to add 2 characters). I am using a 64bit 8gb RAM laptop. Paying lots, getting little.

  12. This is challenging, but I'm sure you could manage:
Many texts that I need to OCR have been scanned from books, so the text is curved. Right now, Acrobat only recognises text in straight lines, so it jumps lines when highlighting and copying text.Would be great if Acrobat Pro could judge, e.g. by analyzing the borders of text boxes, that lines of text are not perfectly straight.

  13. White text on a default white background in PDF reflow mode is not visible and the option to change color choices in accessibility preferences does not yield consistent results for viewing all text within a PDF in reflow.

  14. I sometimes receive files that have printed text that appears correctly but for which the underlying OCRing (or text derived from Word or another word processor) has become corrupt or is otherwise garbled and bears no relation to the visible printed text. An example is attached. It would be very helpful if there were a feature that allowed you to remove all existing OCRed text (or the underlying hidden text produced from the word processor) and run Acrobat's OCRing again from scratch.

It's possible to print an image only PDF and then OCR this, but that is cumbersome, loses…

  15. Add a shortcut or something, that I could switch between Selection tool and Add text to write down side notes, instead of going through 2 phase which need to press edit first then add text.
Need a quick switch on that.

  16. Please add a function to set the page size when creating a PDF form. By default, when you create a form, a Letter-sized page opens, and I need A4. Scaling during printing does not suit me, since the form fields are located in certain coordinates and slide during printing. It is strange that such a function was not done initially.

  17. Pdfs created from Microsoft Word using Acrobat PDFMaker sometimes omit entire paragraphs of text. This has been happening sporadically and unpredictably since the Sept 14 update. Pdf output has become unreliable. In all but one instance among the cases detected, the paragraph that disappears is adjacent to a graphic object--either a line or an image. The missing text is not being covered up by any other object; the text is actually not present in the pdf. A few very inconvenient workarounds are available if the omission is detected: (1) Re-create the affected page by itself instead of outputting the…

  18. When creating a Binder that includes the same underlying PDF/pages multiple times, it would be great to be able to turn off the feature that puts the same text into the same fields in each PDF. For example, if someone using my Binder has 3 children named John, Jane and Robert, I'd like the ability to say whether when they fill in John on the first page/pdf, it appears in the 2nd and 3rd pages/pdfs or not, without having to create different underlying PDFs with different field names. Thanks for considering this update!

  20. I am completing a school application form. It requires a signature. When I select/enter a signature it sits behind the white rectangle that is intended as the background for a hand written signature i.e. the signature is completely hidden and the form is unusable without being printed out (I have no printer).
