  1. Hi all,

can any of you tell me how to set Photoshop as the default for opening images from Acrobat Pro DC (macOS Monterey)?

Whenever I click on an image under "Edit PDF" with the "Edit" tool, the preview is displayed in the "Edit with" submenu. When I say "open with" I can select Photoshop. However, I would like to use Photoshop as the default here so that I don't always have to select the programme under "Open with".

I had actually remembered that I could set this in the settings under the item "Touch up". Unfortunately, this menu…

  3. As admin assigning licenses to users could I also have the ability to Carbon Copy when sending out the "invitation with instructions"?

Managers would like to be CC when the invite goes out to new users.

  4. The software is so incredibly buggy - any attempt to share makes the software crash. Cannot share files saved in document cloud or elsewhere, share via e-mail (with outlook Mac) causes crash, share via document cloud causes crash, attempts to access address book to share via native adobe app causes crash. Why can't I just drag files stored in the document cloud into an e-mail or message - this is the easiest way to share. Share/collaboration is literally unusable in acrobat DC - WHY?! Our entire team may have to move away from the entire Adobe platform if this is…

  5. When sending a document for multiple signatures, I would like to be able to assign specific signees edit access to the document. That way they don't have to decline the document and then I would have to resend the document all over again. Then everyone would receive the final copy when everyone signs.

  6. Return the removed bookmark tree structure with lines which showed the parent child relationships. The current arrow / indent paradigm is very poor to unusable for large documents with many sections/sub-sections. This was a giant step backwards in UI design.

  7. I have scoured the web to see if I can find a solution to this, and so far have not found a viable solution. We need to create graphics in Illustrator, save them as high-res .png files and place them in Microsoft Word. Sometimes those Word files need to be submitted as .pdf files with all text and images searchable. When running the OCR in Acrobat, it is not consistent with recognizing text in all images.

I have tried placing the .pdf file of the image as an object in Microsoft Word, but for some reason on the…

  9. When selecting "redact" a pop up shows but it is completely blank. Redact tool is unusable. I updated the entire program, shut it down and restarted the program, and even restarted the whole computer. I am running version 2024.005.20421

  13. Steps to reproduce:
Opened Acrobat DC --- a popup about integration with Microsoft Office appeared.

Environment: MacOS 10.11.6, Acrobat DC 2017.009.20044

    Expected result:
I should be given immediate access to the Close button or the Continue button.

    Observed result:
The popup hijacked the app, with a spinning beachball cursor, for several seconds - at least 10 seconds. This is not the only performance issue I've seen - I've reported others that still aren't fixed. It all ads up.

  14. Editing is not really the correct word. For millions of users, we simply want to "mark up" a PDF by, say, underlining a sentence. That was dead easy with Adobe Pro XI. Now seemingly impossible with DC. Constantly get image processing error messages. No customized user toolbars, as with Pro. Basically DC has been over-thought. 99% of users want the basic functionality of Adobe Pro XI.

  15. Hello,
When I add some files with the PNG extension to a new PDF file which is being edited, image frame and its catch points are available but I can not move or re-size them. This issue was happening also Reader DC stamping tools. Could you please check it?
    Thank you in advance

  16. Hi,

The last 64-bit version of Adobe Acrobat DC has introduced the possible display in Windows explorer of the file thumb. Great, BUT it is extraordinarily slow and in practice unusable (in particular in the Windows 10 welcome screen of the explorer, showing the recently opened files: it seems that the cache is rebuilt every new session).

So, please make the appropriate changes in the program to speedup this display, which is very useful.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. For your information, I work on a DELL XPS desktop with an NVidia GTX 970 graphics display card and my main drive…

  19. Disable Generative AI. Aside from the disruptive UX/UI aspect of how Gen AI is being pushed onto users, there is also the fact that a number of your users (myself included) are literally not allowed to use Gen AI in our work. Furthermore, surely Adobe is aware that there are a number of use cases where PDFs very often represent the most sensitive, private and/or confidential documents that people use and work with. Think court documents, legal and contractual agreements, government documents. As a result the last thing users in these contexts want is the sense that Adobe is foisting…
