1. New version Acrobat

   Please go back to beter icons in Acrobat.
   The icons now are so bad that you have to search for it, it is only for the new icons in the new version. The icons on the upper top bar are good.

   Most icons are gone and the icon are spread to the left and right.
   It is almost of it is the new Acrobat is made for a tablet or small screen.

   But on our 40" WUHD (5120 x 2160) the mouse makes extra miles/kilometers.

   The new version look clean, I've tried it for two week but works so bad, I turned back to the old look. Not that beautiful but I can do so much more in the same time, that I now know that Adobe has to change it's new look, or pay all companies for the loss of working hours.

   Please send me a mail or so when there is a new layout version, because I won't see it, when I'm in the old layout version.

2. What seems to be a printing bug in 21.007.20091 of Acrobat Reader DC

   User has a Citrix virtual desktop with a USB HP printer connected to a Thin Client, and redirected into the Citrix desktop using the Citrix Universal Printer.
   Prior to this version, opening a PDF and printing to that redirected printer presented no problem. On this most recent version it does with a quick "The document could not be printed" error and then it spits out a blank page.
   Ideally I'd like to get my hands on 20.005.20058 to verify this, but I cannot find the full download now. I have however installed an older version 15.*** and this prints just fine. This to me is pointing to a potential bug in this most recent version, since the user was able to print just fine before on the previous version, updated to the latest on his machine 6 days ago.
   How can we go about troubleshooting this further as this appears to be a bug. How can I get my hands on a recent previous version of Adobe to verify that it's this specific version?

3. "Ask AI Assistant" persistently blocks content on the bottom of the page.

   Any time I am foolish enough to move my mouse near the bottom of an Adobe document, a little bar that says "ask AI assistant" comes up. Often, it takes some time to make it go away again.
   If I wanted to find an AI assistant, I wouldn't be looking by putting my mouse near the bottom of the page. If you must have such a doodad, put it in the menu structure with everything else so that it isn't in my way.
   Also, help information about how to get rid of "features" like this is difficult to use because the interface is drastically different between different Adobe readers and different releases of the same Adobe reader. Some consistency in the menu structure would make these problems easier to solve.

4. Bring back the old Interface

   Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

5. Remove the giant search bar that recently appeared in an update

   Overnight, a giant Search bar has appeared in the top right corner of the app, next to the feedback and other useless buttons, taking up very valuable screen real estate. The number of tabs I can see is literally half of what it was. Give us the option to remove this!

6. "Update" causes significant issues Adobe Acrobat DC (Professional) - BUG FIX NEEDED

   I need help about some significant problems that arose after a recent Adobe "Upgrade" - which is really a "Downgrade" in Acrobat DC Professional.

   I've searched other posts on the Community for this issue on Windows and did not find any (there were some similar Mac problems).

   It seems crazy to me that Adobe managed to mess up simple things like scroll bars in a recent "upgrade".

   There are no scroll bars on my version of Adobe Acrobat and I've tried some of the other threads on the community. Adobe will also no longer remember the last view settings.

   I challenge someone from Adobe to provide a simple yet effective fix to this problem - one that should never have arisen.

   Issue #1
   I've checked off "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" yet Adobe does not do this. For example, I need to press F8 each time I open Adobe to show the toolbars. So the check mark - it doesn't work!

   2 No Scroll Bars

   Some of the other posts I've seen online show an option under "Page Display" and "Page Content and Information" with a dialog box to "Always show scroll bars". As you can see in the screen shot below, there is no such option.

   As can be seen below, there are NO scroll bars, even when hovering on the edge of the document.

   I'm curious how to fix this and how Adobe managed to introduce such a significant bug into a recent "upgrade". Where is product testing?

7. turn off AI prompt/toolbar/pop-up/tip

   Give an option to remove AI from toolbar and/or to turn off pop-up/tip to users instead of having to rely on admin. It's distracting. At least put an x so we can dismiss the pop-up.

   Alternatively, change the color so it isn't so distracting that it causes productivity loss.

   I'm at a loss why Adobe would roll that out as a non-optional visual trespass.

8. Pop ups

   Stop putting advertising throughout the Adobe suite, and get rid of all the pop-ups that are slowing me down and bloating the software. I pay for a subscription and do not need your horrible "suggestions" - I just want working software. I am sick to death of closing random pop-ups and suggestions I never asked for.

9. Enhance Camera Image Fails in new UX

   After the latest update I am unable to use the Enhance Camera Image option when performing OCR. I am given the handles to select the border area of the document, but the popup window with the "Enhance" button does not appear, leaving me unable to continue.

10. slow

    SO SLOW! It would be one thing if i was putting in a couple boxes. I have done everything recommended and the speed is worse than old dial up internet!
    PDF reader Pro is so much faster but doesn't have the same customizing options.
    This cant be the best Adobe could do? If so I want my money back

11. Default Comment Name no longer changes

    Running Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2024.001.20604 on a Mac.

    Previously, we could change the commenter name and make the new commenter name a default by editing the comment "Properties > General" and then checking "Make Properties Default", as detailed here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-cc-comment-name-change/td-p/9307260

    With the most recent update, "Make Properties Default" has no effect. It continually defaults back to each individual's Adobe User Name with every new comment. We can change each of them by hand, but cannot change the default behavior.

    We can enable Edit>Preferences to "Always use Log-in name for author name", but that will only use the log-in name of the computer, which isn't helpful.

12. Bug: Text Callout function comments not updating properly when edited from comment pane

    Recreate Bug:
    -Select Comment tools
    -Select Drawing tools -> Text callout -> create a callout box
    -Type any text and then click away. The comment pane will show the corresponding text for the callout box
    -Select the comment in the Comment pane, edit the text and then click Post.

    The text within the callout box will not update properly to the new edit.
    Only ways to fix it is to drag the callout box itself and move it a little bit and the text within the callout box will update, or have the user edit the text within the callout box instead of in the comment pane.

    Attached is a video recording of me showing that using the text box option works fine, but using the text callout box option does not, even though those two functions should behave the same way.

    Already contacted the Adobe support team multiple times. Somehow they are adamant that this is "by design", even though we've also tested older version of Acrobat (ie Acrobat X Pro) in which the text callout box works as intended. (comment updates instantly)

13. Printing preferences reset to Letter after Acrobat updates

    The default printing preferences are Letter even though my Windows regional settings are not US. Should be A4.

    I change the default from Windows Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners>Adobe PDF>Manage>Printing preferences>Adobe PDF Page Size but it resets every time Acrobat updates!

    Please fix both these issues.

15. Could you please just STOP CHANGING THINGS?

    I had to spend A FULL HOUR OF MY WORK DAY today just trying to figure out how to add text to a PDF. Why? Because the "Add Text" and "Edit Text" features have now changed such that, instead of adding text where you click, they open up a bunch of raster layers which totally destroy the entire document if you try to type in them.

    Every time I used the "Add Text" or "Edit Text" it would rearrange all of the text of the form I was trying to fill out in ways that turned the entire document into an unreadable mess. Apparently I now have to use the "Fill Form Field" option, which is not at all obvious, to just add text where I click.

    Who in God's name is making decisions over there at Adobe HQ? I was literally within seconds of canceling my subscription when I figured out ON MY OWN because the help features are now totally useless that a new feature with a different name which I had to navigate to through a sub-menu now does what "Add Text" and "Edit Text" used to do.

    Are you guys just not bothering with user interface testing or market research now that you've got a monopoly? If you're not bothering with those things, why are you paying people to "update" the software in ways that constantly alienate users and actually make the functionality worse?

16. Link alternate description

    Since the 6/6/23 update, has anyone else noticed that the new "Alternate Description for Links" field does not work? Text can be entered into the field but screen reader does not read. Tested with JAWS 2023, 2022, and NVDA (2023.1.0.27913).

17. Put the Tools back like they were or give an option to use old interface. This new layout is horrid!

19. New minimum window height hinders work flow

    I need the Adobe Reader window to be fully adjustable to fit around my various open programs. The latest update forces a minimum height, and the toolbars are not moveable.

20. downgrade

    Downgrade Acrobat DC to a previous version

    Monthly Updates are good, but in some circumstances, plug-ins from different developer doesn´t work after a update. so i must uninstall the acrobat, search an old installer, then search the last version and install it and then disable the autoupdater. This is to extensive, when you must do this for x Clients.
