  1. Opacity

    Since updating to High Sierra, I have been unable to adjust the color opacity when filling in color for text/form boxes. The "Colors" box used to have something at the bottom for adjusting the opacity, and, since the opacity is turned all the way up by default, I have no way of actually filling in these boxes with color.

  5. Bug: selection of text to be corrected produced erroneous selection.

    1) Read in the attached file "bug.pdf"
    2) Push "Scan & OCR"
    3) Push "Correct recognized text."

    The resulting screen capture for me is shown in the attached file "a.jpg." To create this weird selection, I had toggled on "Review recognized text" then double clicked on "Guide-" which is in the upper right corner of the red box (as currently seen). Notice the text that was recognized was "Cnicl?b". I had hope to replace that text, but making the selection area so large seems nonsensicle.

    I'm running on Windows.

  6. Please add Insert text at cursor tool to cloud commenting

    Cloud commenting from Acrobat and InDesign is an amazing idea but it feels hobbled without the insert text at cursor tool, particularly for reviewing text heavy documents. Please consider expanding the commenting functions available to cloud reviewers.

  7. Conditional Formatting for Text Boxes & Comments

    I have real estate projects that have multiple buildings on a map that get released for sale on a regular basis. I would love to have the ability to have the text box, or callout box, arrows, lines, etc. to change color based on status. For instance, I write "STARTED" in my text box and the box, text, and arrows attached to that text box turn Green. I write "FUTURE" and it turns Red.This way I can replace the underlying map, and color code the comments automatically based on criteria I select.

  8. Why can't I copy the text just as it is in my original document?

    I am trying to copy both Thai text and Burmese text from a Pdf document. But these are not recognized languages in this Adobe program so it tries to copy them as English and makes a mess of them. Why can't the text be copied over as it appears in the original document? Then, I could use Google translate to change that into English. There is no need for Adobe to recognize the language being copied, just copy it exactly as it is in the original document.

  9. Wrong calculation in copied fields

    when doing a calculation in a form like
    A1B1=C1
    with given standard values A1=2, B1=3 resulting in a field with calculation result of 6 (from 2x3=6) you get mistakes in a new calculation when you
    - copy the three field
    - rename them to D1, E1 and F1 and
    - change the standard values and the calculation to D1=3, E1=4
    - change the calculation to D1    E1 with result 12
    the shown form is still A1*B1=C1 values in both lines

    This is a bug that should be solved.

  10. Typewriter

    Adobe, bring back the old Typewriter tool. We need a simple way to add text to an existing PDFs. The current workarounds of using the Edit Text or Add a Text Field tools are not the same and are far more cumbersome than the old Typewriter.

    The problem with the "Edit Text" tool is that it attempts to edit ALL text in the PDF so often times when you try to add new text, it attempts to modify existing background text in the document.

  11. With security applied, I can still change tab order in a form

    This is a bug report, I think.

    After applying security to a form, I can still edit the tab order. I added a permissions password and allowed filling in form fields. After saving to apply the security, I opened the Prepare a form tools. From there, it allowed me to drag and drop to reorder fields in the fields pane, let me save my changes, and those changes were there after closing and reopening the file.

    Since I applied security this should not have been possible. But I tried it multiple times and in different files,…

  12. Incomplete "From" field when converting to PDF from Microsoft Outlook 2016

    In "From" field only shows the name of the email account but doesn't show its email account between "< ... >", like in previous releases.

  13. Not possible to edit text after saving files with active windows in PDF.

    Not possible to edit text after saving files with active windows in PDF. For example when there is active window where we should write date and then we are adding signature, then field with date is not active anymore and it is not possible to change date with EDIT function either. It is very flustrating!

    I think the measure tool in Acrobat Pro is very useful. But It is not possible to change the text size/font style of a measured dimension!

  16. Reader 2021.001.20138 suddenly running form javascripts incredibly slowly and freezing

    A complex form that ran fine under older versions of reader, is now intermittently running some of the onboard javascripts incredibly slowly and appearing to the user as freezing (Not Responding).
    This does not always occur, and occurs during different operations (using different document level scripts).
    I am using Windows 10 Pro 19041.804 (most recent) and have experienced it on Reader 2021.001.20138 32bit and 64bit versions.

  17. Is there a way to scan a document for text without making that text editable?

    I want scanned documents to be searchable, and I want people to be able to copy/paste text from the documents, but I don't want them to be able to edit that text. I cannot find a setting that allows that.

  20. Date format from Adobe Forms not carried into Adobe Sign

    Hi,

    The date format using Adobe Form doesn't get carried forward to Adobe Sign. With the volume I am working with, it is just not possible to manually change dates in the form each time as there are several dates in the form and I have to send a large volume of the forms in one go. I tried using the script "Text1es:signr1:isdate(format=dd/mm/yyyy)" in Prepare form under Custom Calculation Field and it doesnt work. I tried locking the format and it doesnt work either.
