  2. Every time I've used the Edit feature in the last few weeks, it has corrupted the text. Worked fine before that.

  3. I'm trying Acrobat Pro and it seems that the new UI that we can try doesn't allow me to correct OCR by marking something as "not text". With the old UI, you can simply erase the garbage text next to the picture, and press "OK" or whatever, then this part of the document stops being considered as text.

  4. Bug is in the Properties window. If you enter something in the Name field, select all, and hit the tab key to go to Tooltip to paste that in there, Acrobat jumps to the next Field in the order instead of the next entry.

  5. I've got some text layers 95% opacity with drop shadow applied on Illustrator. Those Ai files are linked into a Indesign doc, exported as PDF but when I view the artworks on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version attached) there is a white box around the text. This only happens on Adobe Acrobat. If I use Mac Preview it looks fine. I can only fix the issue if I make the text layer 100% opacity in Illustrator. This bug only happens when the doc is viewed on any zooms that are 100% or less. It looks fine on 125% or…

  6. The recent update to Adobe Acrobat DC (20.006.200042) has removed the action button from the Prepare Form menu.

    I am unable to add buttons to form like "print" or "email". When opening older forms, the print still works, but it is unedible the action you can do. The email button goes off to an unknown link.

    In addition, the DC help still list the old way to add and edit these action buttons without listing a new method to create or edit these buttons

  7. When exporting from PDF to word, I lose all the white text on a white background which we use as anchors for our docusign process. Is there a way to keep the white text on export?

  9. How come I cannot access text box properties - the online help text tells me to use text box properties to set the border and color and background - and the dialog to do so in not accessible with the 2024 version I have I would provide the number but the about popup denies me the ability to get the number for you

  10. When attempting to change the color of some text in Acrobat Pro DC, the text format is sometimes badly messed up. This happens with text from Acrobat's OCR as well as text imported from other applications. I'm attaching a file that shows both of these cases. To reproduce the problem, open the file in Acrobat Pro DC (on Mac), select Edit PDF, select all of the text on the page, and change the color of the text to black - the text format will get badly mangled when the color is changed. Very frustrating! Changing the color should…

  11. I've spent most of a week adding text to this pdf and saving it to my hard drive. Today when I opened it, all of the additions were corrupted or missing! Unless there is a trick to recovering this document, I've lost a week of work!!

    The information is sensitive so it is not possible to attach the file.

  12. Steps to reproduce: (Windows 11 environment)
    1. Create a pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro (Version 24.1) with the page rotated clockwise, aka "landscape"
    2. Use prepare form tool to add a fillable text field, set the field properties so that font size is "Auto"
    3. Save, and open in chrome using the Adobe Acrobat extension (Ver 24.8.1.1)

    When entering text, it does not fill the whole field and the font size reduces abruptly. Behavior is not seen in built-in chrome pdf handling, or in Acrobat Windows App.

  13. Absolutely HATE the new Adobe Sign. It takes me at least 3 times longer to send a document for e-signatures. Before the update, Adobe knew where I wanted text, signatures, and the date signed. Now I have to change the field type every single time I insert a field, the date is some crazy format that I have to change every time, and even if I click "Date Signed" it always just puts a "date" field in that I have to delete and insert the date signed field again. Please change it back!

  14. It is a Bug, not an idea.

    When trying to insert a calculation into a form field to show the new date (also with other simple calculations), for example

    var f = this.getField("Heute");
    f.value = util.printd("d.m.yyyy",new Date());

    I can insert it, but when clicking OK the field is empty and nothing calculates.

    There seems to be an error, snce this has worked befor – or I am doing it wrong, but I cannot see how.

    Any ideas?

  15. The latest update to the e-signature feature lacks the ability to automatically replicate the 'initial' field across all pages. This functionality was readily available in the previous version with a simple button click. The absence of this feature renders the e-signature process highly inefficient for businesses, as it now necessitates the manual insertion of initials on each page.

  16. When a text block has a superscript and we start to edit the content, the leading of the text block expands - this is incorrect behavior and should be fixed so that leading does not change. This occurs in both platforms in multiple versions of DC. Note that previous versions of Acrobat Pro did not exhibit this behavior.

  18. Text entered using the Commenting feature shows up with some level of transparency less than 100% - I would guess it is 50-60% transparent. And I can't adjust it to show 100%. in order to get 100% black or colored text, I need to use the Editing feature.

  19. I can't find "add text comment" (without a border) tool in August 2023 Acrobat.

    When I choose another similar sounding tool called "insert text comment" and clicking on a newly-created blank page, nothing happens. (I don't know what this for in either old or new version. It may have something to do with cursor?)

    Workaround is to use "add text comment" (with a border), change properties to always have no border displayed and resize the border after typing.

    The old version behavior of "add text comment" appeared to add text at position clicked on a page and then flowed right…

  20. I would enter the four values under the heading FORMAT for text in the book. Also, I was using Adobe Caslon Pro font. I would save the document at the end of my session. When I opened the document the next day, some of the sections of text had different values. This forced me to check each of the sections of text I had edited. Some had retained the correct values, but many had changed and had to be re-entered. Also, some of the sections of text had changed from Adobe Caslon Pro to Minion Pro or New Times…
