Inserting a text watermark using the Helvetica Neue font enters a series of boxes instead of the text. All weights and slopes affected except, bizarrely, the ‘Thin’ weight.

Inserting text using the Helvetica Font produces the error message “The font ‘Helvetica,Xxxx’ contains an invalid encoding. Some characters may not display correctly”. This error message appears on saving the PDF and every time it is opened in Acrobat Reader DC.

Both fonts are system fonts and work satisfactorily in all applications (e.g. InDesign, Word) including Acrobat Pro DC, but not…

  2. Forms generated using AdobeSign are not in compliance with ADA accessibility standards. Need an option when creating input fields to add an 'aria-label' attribute so that the fields can be easily identified by disabled / visually impaired users. Additionally, the radio buttons generated by the tool should be grouped with a <fieldset> or <legend> tag and utilize aria-label or aria-labelledby so that the buttons can be properly associated with each other and distinguished from other radio button groups.

Here is an example of an input field generated by an AdobeSign form:

  3. So many issues. "Thumbnail not yet available" , using classic mode "exceeded page limit" with only a 2 page document. Switching to "new experience" you can't place signatures. So many issues. We have signed out of Adobe and signed back in. Uninstalled Adobe and Creative Cloud. Signed back in. Please please fix this soon as we have employees that need this to do their daily work

  4. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro (22.003.20282) installed and no updates are available. When I have the zoom at 100%, there is missing text, but it shows up at zoom levels above and below! See the attached files for examples. This is really frustrating when we are trying to proof documents.

  5. I've spent most of a week adding text to this pdf and saving it to my hard drive. Today when I opened it, all of the additions were corrupted or missing! Unless there is a trick to recovering this document, I've lost a week of work!!

The information is sensitive so it is not possible to attach the file.

  6. Can you please add the ability to let the user set a different 'default' font type, size, colour when creating forms? It adds significantly to the time used creating forms to have to change the font for every single text/field added.

  7. When pasting text copied from a FrameMaker document into an Acrobat comment, ALL the system fonts are listed in the comment.

Current workaround is to paste the copied text into a text editor and then recopy the information from the text editor.

  8. Export PDF to TIFF - Option to anti-alias vectors/text. Right now text and vector have jagged edges when using this export function. Rather than having to purchase 3rd party app or using Photoshop, it would be handy to export my TIFF files from a hi res PDF. I am only doing this because InDesign does not offer the ability to export to TIFF.

  9. When changing an existing text box font color from the default color to a different color, the next time I open and use a text box, the font color is whatever color I last used.

This is a nuisance, make it stop, if I set up a 'set as default' the font color for any 'new' text should stay that color, no matter if I change the font color later or not.

The font color has different meanings (Actionable inputs) associated with the colors, when the action has been accomplished, I change the font color, this doesn't mean I want…

  10. Links that are embedded in the original article do transfer to the PDF and are discoverable when hovering over. Optimal would be to be able to change the link text color to blue. Right now, the options allow creating a visible blue outline around the link, though there is not an option to change the link text for the existing link itself to blue

  11. I would enter the four values under the heading FORMAT for text in the book. Also, I was using Adobe Caslon Pro font. I would save the document at the end of my session. When I opened the document the next day, some of the sections of text had different values. This forced me to check each of the sections of text I had edited. Some had retained the correct values, but many had changed and had to be re-entered. Also, some of the sections of text had changed from Adobe Caslon Pro to Minion Pro or New Times…

  12. When a text block has a superscript and we start to edit the content, the leading of the text block expands - this is incorrect behavior and should be fixed so that leading does not change. This occurs in both platforms in multiple versions of DC. Note that previous versions of Acrobat Pro did not exhibit this behavior.

  13. I've tried running OCR scans for English text multiple times on my document but it never works despite my document's text being very clear. I'm running version 2023.006.20320. It is quite disappointing that Acrobat can't even recognise the text when it's so clear. It's not like this scan was a poor quality scan even!

  14. The datetime field is not working in Polish version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 32 and 64 bit - Windows 11. After clicking on the field, a small button should appear. After clicking this button, a calendar should pop up. In my case, nothing is happening. But it works properly on English version of Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  15. Recently a change was made that significantly reduces the ease of use for the Add Text Comment tool. The problem is that the cursor inside the add text area is now 2-3 times the the height of the text you are adding. Previously the text box and cursor were the same height as the font size that was selected.

  16. When exporting from PDF to word, I lose all the white text on a white background which we use as anchors for our docusign process. Is there a way to keep the white text on export?

  17. When viewing a 3D pdf with Acrobat Pro on a Mac, the image shrinks to the bottom left quarter of the viewing space after activating it. This used to work and may be related to an Acrobat or MacOS update

  18. One of your recent updates broke my ability to use the yellow highlighter on the ribbon tool bar at the top in Acrobat to highlight text in PDF documents. This used to work great but now when I try to highlight, it grabs a huge area of the document and is completely useless now. See attachments. I use this all the time (or I did) so please fix this ASAP! Thanks.

  19. I have many documents that I regularly access and add text to. In a previous version of Adobe Pro, when I would click in the area of text, the whole area would become editable and I could add text that lined up with what was previously added. Now, if you click "edit PDF," every single character is selected in its own bounding box and there is no way to do the previously described adding of text, other than to enable the "add text" feature, which is not the same as what I described above. Often times, I…

  20. All out comments are done with text boxes, text callout boxes, lines and arrows (as opposed to the sticky-note style comment). When we select any of those tools, they stay selected, i.e. when I draw a callout box and type, then click off of it, all I do is create yet another callout box. I have to click the arrow at the top of that pane to deselect it, then click AGAIN to manually move or resize my box. Previous Adobe version, did not "stick" when I selected a text box or callout box or an arrow or line from…
