  1. why does not the DC allow me an option to open a new file on a new tab than in a new window, which it defaults to? I wish this option was available.

  3. As designers, we love to push the envelope. For interactive PDFs, can we have a form field option that is circular. The text is centered within the circle, can handle Auto text sizing, the font can be specified, and the leading/line spacing can be set tighter than the current default.

  4. Adobe Sign is not working 8/18/17 for sending any documents. We have tried sending from multiple accounts and a variety of different documents. We have tried using the workflows and just the Send button. It gives back this message: Adobe Sign was unable to create your agreement because the document could not be thumbnailed. Please let me know you need more information.

  5. I have constant problems with Adobe Pro, when I create a PDF runsheet, then attach files and begin a hyperlink to those files, adobe will fail to work, or get a message that adobe has stopped working, have to go out and re-enter the program several times to complete my process. Please tell me what I need to do. This is very poor functionality.

  6. Repeatedly, when trying to fill in US Internal Revenue Service forms in Acrobat DC Standard, I get a "bad file handle" message, and am unable to save the completed form. This did not happen with earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat and does not happen if I open the files in Acrobat Reader DC rather than the full version of Acrobat DC. I am using Windows 10.

  7. I'll first give an example then explain why Acrobat Pro DC needs better error messages.

We often work with large PDFs (sometimes 10,000 pages or more) that are created by joining together many smaller PDFs in Acrobat Pro DC.

Bates Numbers are applied and sometimes removed and re-applied as the document get's built.

Sometimes something goes wrong when editing the PDF.
For example Edit > More > Bates Numbering > Remove... gives an error "A number is out of range."

This error unfortunately comes up for us a lot which I guess is to be somewhat expected when combining…

  8. Like many users I was caught off guard by the automatic October 2018 update that significantly changed things (for the worse, as usual). I wasn't even aware that Acrobat had automatic updates turned on! All the other CC apps simply notify you via Creative Cloud when an update is available, and I choose whether or not to install it. Why is Acrobat different?

Apps from other companies have a prominent dialog during initial install that asks whether you want to install updates automatically or not. I don't recall ever seeing this type of notice for Acrobat.

    At the very least,…

  10. Every time I open a PDF I get an error message "the instruction at 0x0000000067C6BD1D referenced memory at 0x00000000000000018. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program." When I click on OK the program works fine. This error is extremely annoying. I deleted the program and redownloaded and the error did not go away. It is up-to-date.

  11. Adobe PLEASE! Stop the menu popups everytime we click on an element when editing PDFs! Let us do that if we need to by right click. It disturbs our workflow especially when resizing an image it blocks the corners when resizing. Put all menus on the side by default, don't float it, don't make it appear when clicked. It is annoying like a popup ad. If you like those, we don't. So just make it optional and can be checked in the settings or preferences.

Again, please don't make a menu popup when clicking an element in PDF editing…

  12. With printing to Adobe Acrobat the document opens by default after printing. When using Microsoft Print to PDF it just saves it where specified but does not open the document. Is there a way to set it so it automatically opens the document after printing it using Microsoft Print to PDF?

  13. TERRIBLE habit of Adobe to force through an upgrade when you want to use it. if Adobe is set as the default pdf reader, one may have to wait 5 minutes for the upgrade to go through PLUS restart the computer. there MUST be an option to delay the upgrade.

  14. By default, currently tagging is not possible when Protected mode is activated. For security matters, would need to use tagging with protected mode. The goal is to classify confidential documents, to use tagging to filter/intercept via DLP (~intelligent firewall based on analysis of content), and prevent documents to be moved on external storage.

  15. The Message field under the Recipient tab in Agreement Templates for Adobe Acrobat Sign for Salesforce needs to be changed from a plain text field to rich text or another format that supports hyperlinks. The package my company is sending out contains a URL for the customer to access but they currently have to copy and paste the URL into a browser instead of being able to click the link.

  17. When creating a form and using the Execute Menu Item->Submit a Form in order to email the completed form to someone when they click on a link, the following message appears, even though PDF is selected in the Submit Form Selections:

"The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself. The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help…

    1. Open a pdf file using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
    2. find a word, and triple-click the touchpad.
    3. An error message pop up saying: there was a raise without a handler. The application will now exit.
    4. The Adobe Acrobat DC crashes.

Env: Mac OS 10.15.3/Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Expected: can look up the word with Mac's dict app.

Observed: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes.

  18. Since the last update to version 2021.011.20039, Acrobat DC no longer displays PDFs with JPEG2000 compressed images. When loading, the error message 'Insufficient data for an image' appears. Previous versions of Acrobat DC had no problems with these files. Other viewers on the market can still display these PDFs.

What's the mistake here? A problem in Acrobat DC or in the file?

    See attached sample file.

    With regards
    Olli

  19. When I want to edit an object in an external editor, the tool ”Edit using…” only shows ”Open with…”.
Illustrator/Photoshop is not shown in the list as it used to. It makes no difference if I set them (or any other compatible app) as default editors in preferences.
