An Urgent Need for Better and Bolder Annotation Tools
I respectfully suggest you consider enhancing Acrobat DC’s current annotation and highlighting tools to enable users to markup documents directly and instantly and do so without putting your users through Acrobat DC’s 28 tool / function menus.
I have been using Acrobat extensively for over 20 years and have a continuous need to annotate a wide range of PDF documents – legal, financial and technical and more. My annotation needs are both textual and graphic. While I remain loyal to Adobe Acrobat, I find Acrobat DC’s current annotation and highlight tools visually weak, limited in graphic capabilities and VERY timer-consuming to apply.
The fight for shorter and shorter reader Attention Spans: Very frequently, the recipients of my annotated PDF documents fail to visually catch my Acrobat DC annotations. These are “thin” and difficulty to catch. This is a real growing problem that is only getting worse as most readers mostly scan documents in shorter and shorter intervals and miss these highlights. I am almost sure that I am not the only Acrobat user that is dealing with this problem.
What I firmly believe is needed is a new set of modern annotation tools capable of inserting stronger / bolder annotations and with far less end-user efforts. An ideal example would be to modernize Acrobat by add the highlighting and annotation capabilities of SnagIt. This famous application gets the job done gracefully, based on its well-designed markup tools and their exceptional accessibility and ease of use.I do realize that such a suggestion might have significant engineering implications. However, a tool as important as Acrobat needs to keep up with today’s need for visual richness that can help deal with the shorter and shorter reader attention spans of today's smartphone obsessed users.
Best regards to Adobe’s Acrobat DC engineering Team

Raise without a handler
Wow. I LOVE your products, but HOLY S&*T was it difficult to get to a point where I could actually "Contact" adobe. As a professional UX designer (sorry for how that must sound...) this UX is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable for a company of your prestige.
Here is my issue, I used to be able to drag .png files into Adobe Acrobat and the software would brilliantly ask me if I wanted to combine these pngs into a single file, "Why yes, Thats exactly what I want! Thank you."
This worked flawlessly for the last year. Now, out of nowhere, the program no longer does this. Now I get an error prompt of "RAISE without a handler", what ever the **** that means (to most users, its completely worthless feedback/messaging). There is no help on how to resolve the issue.
Posts on the internet are saying this is a bug Adobe has refused to acknowledge.
My questions are, What is the problem? What is the fix? And why the heck do you make it so difficult to contact the company and get answers to our questions?
Please, please, please, don't make me and co-workers abandon you and move to sketch for our design work because you refuse to help your customers.
Thank you,
James Hyland

Font preview, or "one step backwards"
in Pro XI, when using the Drop List of fonts in "add text", the fonts actually DISPLAYED in the stated font. This was incredibly helpful for those of us who have to be creative with our text additions. For some reason, somewhere along the line between Pro XI and 2017 (which I just purchased and installed) someone in their infinite wisdom decided to delete that feature. please, Please, PLEASE put it back, and sooner rather than later. NOT having it is a major headache.

Permanent Crop
Permanent crop tool that actually removes cropped content. Masking content does not work for PDFs that need to be later uploaded online. It botches thumbnail creation and causes files to be unnecessarily large.
3 votesSorry fot the inconvenience caused to you.
You can crop the file by following below steps.
1) Open a pdf
2) Click on edit pdf
3) Select option Crop Pages
4) Now select the desired area and click enter
5) Now you can select your desired settings for crop, click ok and save your file. -

The ability to drag and drop and reorder portfolios
Would be great to be able edit the portfolios files layout once saved and move the files around or change the order by dragging them to where you want it rather then by the choices provided I think it was called freeform or something like that. I use to be able to do this with Adobe X, with DC I can't. Really am not liking the latest version of Adobe, wish I could go back to my old version.

Initial View Preferences for the creation of PDF
I want to set the "DEFAULT" for the initial view for all pdf documents that I create. I am sick and tired of setting the "initial views" for each and every PDF that I create. Please program a preference that automates the way to set a users preference for creating files with a preset initial view.

New Pro DC subscription purchased, won't install
I paid $190 (inc. tax) on June 26 for Acrobat Pro DC - yet every time I open Acrobat, there's a little circle in the lower left hand corner saying "subscription expired" with a "buy" button beneath it - I want to know I have what I paid for!

License is an enterprise deal through our University that comes with Adobe CC and Acrobat DCI have tried docs with one line, and I have tried docs with multiple pages, it will be the same result on my Mac.
I have trained about 25 people at my univeristy on this buggy product. This error happens on about 50% of peoples computers.
Please, don't tell me to reinstall. This is a clean install.
If I use the "Create PDF" button on my PC running Windows 10 it functions as expected. Most people at my University are on a Mac, so we can't just say use a PC.
This is a very urgent issue to fix at my university because we need to make our PDF files Accessible. This bug pretty much means half the people who need to make an Accessible PDF file from word can't do it.

Eraser
The program needs an eraser (I've been telling Adobe techs this for years) If you need an example, download a trial version of Bluebeam Revu. Take a look at their crop, eraser, cut and flatten tools. You guys need to step up your game!

BUG: "Enable Protected Mode At Startup" disables Hardware Rendering
I would like to know why Hardware Rendering has been disabled when the option "Enable Protected Mode At Startup" is checked. Why is hardware rendering a security issue?
To me this is a serious bug. You have crippled Adobe Acrobat for 3D delivery by forcing this on users.
If you find a PDF file that has ANY javascript in it are you not only disabling the javascript but also disabling hardware rendering?
I can kind of understand disabling javascript, although all that functionality should be able to be sandboxed. You, Adobe Developers, have full control over all the methods exposed to javascript, so you can block selectively. No need to block everything.

Please add OCR support for East Asian Languages (CJK) in vertical format
Currently Acrobat Pro DC recognizes Chinese and Japanese (and probably Korean) in left-to right horizontal format, but does not handle vertical text reliably. The apparent reason is that in edit mode text areas are always defined horizontally. An explicit configuration option for vertical text would fix this. The attached file if a pdf scan of the first section of a recently published Japanese book.
