  3. In Adobe Acrobat DC Comments, the Lock icon adds unnecessary space to the already inefficient spacing (even without the lock, for some reason a lot of extra spacing was added). Is there a way to compress the spacing and/or remove the lock icon, which was never shown in previous versions of Acrobat? If not, the result of our company switching to acrobat DC is a reduction in productivity.

  4. This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

    When creating a new form "button" with an icon appearance, it is not possible to select the first page of a multi-page PDF as the icon image.

    • Create a new button field
    • In the Properties dialog box for the button choose the Options tab
    • Choose "Icon only" from the layout dropdown list
    • Click the Choose Icon button and select a multi-page PDF
    • Try to select the first page of the PDF as the icon image.
    • Only the 2nd or later page can actually be selected (even though the first page…

    But we are not able to reproduce this issue at our end.
    Thus please let us know your Acrobat version and OS details.

    Moreover, are you facing this issue for every file? If not, share the sample file.

  5. Reverting the menu settings for the TOOLS to the users settings after an update.

    -should be done as part of each update.
    -put as an obvious option when exiting any setup of tools in the menu system to backup the registry somewhere as i have just now been advised of. really not a good option.

    want a reason for this, arrange for more feedback with me.

  7. After latest update, when creating a PDF, the program switches screens. I have split screens for a reason. I want Adobe to STAY on the screen I have it on. Very annoying. This did not happen before the update.

  8. The Acrobat section in Microsoft Word's ribbon uses icons that do not match the native design on Windows or Microsoft Office. A new icon set would look nice. It's just a few icons, so it would not be a lot of work.

  9. It would be helpful to have Adobe Pro 2020 default to the PDF icon when inserting a PDF as an object and then displaying as an icon in Microsoft Word.

    It is possible to search for the icon and set it manually but it will always default back to C:\Windows\System32\ole32.dll, making the user have to manually set the icon every time.

  10. The sidebar pops up EVERY time I try to do something and I can't see the file! WHY??? My job is infinitely harder because of this. I also can't use the Ctrl S function to save. This is literally maddening.

  11. When perusing a PDF file, using the Ctrl-F feature to search the file for a word or phrase causes the entire program to shut down completely. Started on new update yesterday for the PRO DC Version 17.012.20098 update.

  12. STOP updating this. The people doing the updates have no idea how this is used product is used. Every update is a massive learning, takes weeks to figure simple stuff

We use non-persistent Citrix servers for our infrastructure and when we update 64-bit versions of Adobe Pro DC, we are having to go into the registry and redo the keys that allow for multiple users /shared devices. This is only happening to 64-bit installs and seems to have started back on the August planned update. This seems like a bug since 32-bit versions of Adobe are unchanged after updating. Both versions are updated in the same fashion, via a script deployed from our RMM platform. I did work with support originally and they suggested I check the registry…

  14. Adobe needs to make the option of using a Digital Signature universal regardless of whether using the desktop application or web version. Currently, you can ONLY use a Digital Signature through the Desktop Application. This should be a universal option regardless of whether using the desktop app or web version.

  15. I am working at an MSP currently. Two separate customers are experiencing issues with printing/scanning after update 2020.009.20063 on Reader and Acrobat DC.

    If you try to scan a document that is multiple pages it will freeze after the first page.

    We attempted repairs and reinstalls but were unsuccessful with both.

    Workstations are running W10.

  16. Adobe elite customers are asking for Microsoft Outlook & Adobe Acrobat Plugin mimic the desktop experience as Microsoft keeps pushing out new updates to their office suite and the current experience isnt streamlined..

    Will this be considered by Adobe Acrobat product managers in the future?

  17. Provide option to add "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon to the Quick Tools bar as well as others as needed. It is not productive when one has to navigate from Document to Tools, then select Fill and Sign, then select the "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon. When one has to do this on multiple documents, it is rather frustrating to keep switching back/forth. Thanks.

  18. As a Document Cloud admin, I want to be able to control via the registry the exact day and week each month Adobe Reader and/or Acrobat DC performs the check for the update.

    For example, most updates are released on the second Tuesday of the month. To add QA contingency, I would like the ability to perform the auto update check on the 4th or 1st Tuesday of the month.

  20. Whenever I check for updates and attempt the update, it ALWAYS fails with a message: No Valid sequence found for this set of patches. i think the error code is 1648.
