1. Administrative Control to Disable the "Disable New Acrobat" Option

   Many organizations standardize on the new Acrobat experience for supportability, training, documentation, and user consistency. While administrators can deploy the new Acrobat interface, end users are still able to select "Disable New Acrobat" from the menu and revert to the classic interface.

   This creates several challenges:
   - Increased support calls due to users working in different interfaces.
   - Inconsistent user experience across the organization.
   - Training documentation and internal procedures no longer match what users see.
   - Additional administrative overhead when troubleshooting issues.

   Requested Enhancement

   Please provide administrators with a policy or enterprise setting that allows them to:
   - Disable or gray out the "Disable New Acrobat" menu option.
   - Force users to remain on the new Acrobat experience.
   - Control this setting through enterprise management tools such as Group Policy, registry settings, Microsoft Intune, or the Adobe Customization Wizard/Admin Console.

2. AI helper

   Disabling the AI assistant is actually what you should do. Even though I've disabled the AI assistant in the settings, I continue to receive pop-ups asking me to summarize the documents I'm trying to read. In addition to blocking the content I'm trying to read, these pop-ups make the basic program less usable, such as when it comes to scrolling, Chill Guy Clicker. Additionally, when the assistant is disabled, the small chat bar at the bottom shouldn't be there. For heaven's sake, please make this right. AI is not necessary for everything. I'll use Chat GPT if I need AI assistance.

4. Acrobat prevents sleep on Windows after "Edit Using... Adobe Photoshop"

   In version 2026.001.21691 of Acrobat, a new bug has occurred which prevents Windows 10 machines from sleeping. Once you have chosen, “Edit Using . . . Adobe Photoshop,” the computer will no longer sleep until Acrobat is completely closed. Closing Photoshop has no impact on the bug.

   The Windows powercfg utility reports that it is msedgewebview2.exe which is preventing the sleep:

   Please pay attention to those of who are asking to have the AI feature stop intruding into our work. Actions (in this case inaction) speak louder than words, and you are telling me very clearly to stop using adobe, because you insist on imposing "AI" on me at every step. Given the demonstrated problems with hallucinations in AI, your are offering is a threat, not a bonus.

6. MY SAVED SIGNATURES IN FILL & SIGN ARE GONE

   For some reason Adobe DC seems to delete a user's signature data causally considering they only allow us to save two. My signatures are gone suddenly, even tried opt to the web extension to see if its only the windows software problem, unfortunately no! The signatures are gone. I had to re-draw my signature when this happens and it is time-wasting.

7. Let me keep a warning section together when converting a web page to PDF

   Please add a way to select a heading and the paragraphs below it in the web page conversion preview, then keep that section on one PDF page when it fits. A section that is longer than a page would still need to split.

   The warnings in our Ask Ayurveda article at https://ask-ayurveda.com/articles/2154-turmeric-for-inflammation-dose-absorption-warnings are an example of the content I would want to keep together. I would like to mark that section before creating the PDF, without editing the source website. This is a feature request; I have not attached a broken PDF or tested every conversion setting.

9. Bug: Exporting from Acrobat Pro (.pdf) to PowerPoint (.pptx) shows an image that cannot be selected, edited, or deleted (master slide)

   Adobe Acrobat Pro, version 26.002.21931.0, trying to export from .pdf to PowerPoint .pptx, it sends one of my design's images to the Master Slide background that cannot be edited or deleted unless you know how to take it off the background of the master slide and transfer it to a regular slide. (Running on Windows 11, x64 bit system, Microsoft Office 365). Here are the two files of interest: .pdf, and its conversion to .pptx. The overlapping circles in the image at the left don’t come through to the .pptx file as selectable, editable, or deletable, but the same overlapping circles at the right, do come through. (Conjoined—but that’s a separate bug!)

   The workaround is three steps in PowerPoint:
   1). View...Slide Master
   2). Then select the master slide in the top left location, right click on it and choose Format Background from its popup menu.
   3). Then you can delete or copy it to another location where it is editable when you close the slide master view and return to normal viewing.

   Note: From a normal view one can also click on the slide in the upper left, then look to the editing box over at the far right screen margin. When it says “Format Background” as a title there is then an option on its menu to check a box to Hide Background Graphics. But that still deprives the slide I'm working on from displaying the image that is now hidden when I need it to be selectable, editable, visible.

12. Acrobat 26.002.21931 creates 10,000+ USER objects / 12,000+ windows, exhausts Windows desktop heap and freezes the PC

    BUG REPORT

    Product: Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) 26.002.21931, Continuous track, Creative Cloud subscription
    OS: Windows 11 Home 25H2, build 26200.9550
    Hardware: Dell XPS 17 9710, Intel i7-11800H, 64 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop

    SUMMARY
    Since mid-September 2026 my laptop froze completely 8 times (screen locked, no input, Sign out hangs, only the power button works). Windows never blue-screened. Each freeze is preceded by the System event log entry Win32k 704 "A desktop heap allocation failed", followed by Explorer.EXE, ctfmon.exe and dwm.exe crashing.

    A per-process monitor running every minute shows Acrobat.exe is the process filling the desktop heap:
    - 2026-09-23 14:17 -> 14:18: Acrobat.exe went from 205 to 10,000 USER objects (the per-process cap) within one minute, right after a second Acrobat window opened a PDF. Session total went 3,577 -> 13,241. The PC froze about 30 seconds later.
    - 2026-09-23 14:42: a freshly launched Acrobat.exe, sitting on the Home screen with NO document open, owned 12,105 top-level and child windows (counted with EnumWindows/EnumChildWindows). Every other process on the machine combined owned about 650.
    - Even idle, Acrobat.exe holds about 1,390 windows for hours.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE (on my machine)
    1. Launch Acrobat, stay on the Home screen. Count windows owned by Acrobat.exe (Process Explorer or EnumWindows): ~1,400 immediately, sometimes >12,000.
    2. Open a PDF in a second Acrobat window. USER objects for Acrobat.exe jump to the 10,000 cap within a minute.
    3. Once the interactive desktop heap (default 20 MB) is exhausted, Windows logs event 704 and the shell crashes; the PC must be power-cycled.

    EXPECTED RESULT
    Acrobat holds a few hundred windows/USER objects like any other desktop app.

    OBSERVED RESULT
    Thousands of windows at idle, 10,000 USER objects after opening a PDF, desktop heap exhausted, whole PC frozen.

    WORKAROUNDS
    - Uninstalling Acrobat 26.002.21931 (2026-09-23). No freeze since.
    - Raising the interactive desktop heap to 40 MB only delays the freeze.

    SETTINGS AT THE TIME
    - Generative AI features were enabled during the freezes; the 12,105-window burst happened with them still enabled.
    - Acrobat was the default PDF handler.

    I can provide the per-minute CSV log of USER/GDI/window counts per process for 2026-09-22/23, Windows System and Application event log extracts around each freeze, and a snapshot of all processes at the moment of the 704 event.

13. BUG: Large Gap Between Pages in Two-Page View

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Generate a PDF from InDesign with Left to Right binding
    2. Open that PDF in Acrobat
    3. Select "Two-Page View" in the View > Page Display menu
    4. BUG: Observe a 3-cm-wide gap between facing pages.
    5. Press command+0 to "Zoom to page level", and observe the gap disappears.
    6. Press command+0 again, and observe the gap reappears

14. Bug: "Switch to Edit/start editing" popup when commenting

    For the past week, each time I've highlighted a piece of text to leave a comment, I've gotten an annoying popup encouraging me to switch to the Edit mode (see screenshot). I'm not allowed to edit my clients' PDFs; they want me to comment only. This popup occurs for the first five or so comments I leave and then stops. I have tried turning off Generative AI (which I continue to have to do every time I open the app, but that's a whole different discussion), but that didn't help. Adobe, please stop assuming that I don't know what I'm doing or that you know better than I do what I need. How do I get rid of this popup once and for all?

15. Add AI to the Adobe Chrome extension "downloads" folder

    Using the Adobe extension for Chrome, dowloading PDF's opens the "downloads" file folder on Windows. Users then navigate to the preferred file storage location to save the file. Subsequent file downloads still require all of the same navigation clicks. Instead, Adobe could apply AI and open the last folder navigated to by the user.

    The same scenario with the extension turned off, Chrome opens the last file storage location. It is a productivity enhancement Adobe can adopt. I turn the extension off because of the wasted time navigating.

16. Adobe Acrobat Pro Crash and Data Loss Feedback

    I am extremely frustrated with Adobe Acrobat Pro after losing approximately SIX HOURS of work due to the application crashing.

    I was actively editing a PDF from approximately 4:30 PM until at least 10:30 PM. Acrobat crashed, and when I reopened the application, none of those hours of work were reflected in my file. The file shows that it was last modified around 4:30 PM.

    I attempted Acrobat’s recovery process and received a message stating that my file could not be recovered. I tried every available recovery option I could find, and my work is simply gone. I now have to redo approximately six hours of detailed, manual PDF editing from scratch.

    This is unacceptable for professional software, especially a paid Pro product.

    What makes this even more frustrating is that Acrobat has an automatic save/recovery feature specifically intended to protect document changes in the event of an unexpected shutdown. A user should not be able to work inside the application for HOURS, experience a crash, and discover that the application has neither saved those changes to the document nor maintained a usable recovery copy.

    If Acrobat’s “autosave” is only creating temporary recovery data and does not actually save changes to the working document, that distinction needs to be made MUCH clearer to users. More importantly, the recovery system needs to reliably perform its basic function when the application itself crashes.

    Losing a few minutes of work after a crash is frustrating. Losing SIX HOURS of active work and being told the file “cannot be recovered” is completely unreasonable.

    Adobe needs to improve Acrobat Pro’s stability, automatic saving, and crash-recovery system. Professional users should not have to manually press Save every few minutes because they cannot trust a paid editing application to preserve an entire work session.

    I am incredibly disappointed and now have to start this project over because Acrobat Pro crashed and failed to recover my work.

    When I click requestion E-Signatures, I type in the person I'm sending it to and click more option to extend the date out further. When I click more options it takes me right back to the document, and I learned that I have to wait about 10 seconds before doing it again for it to work. Once I learned this, I just started waiting 15 seconds after typing the signer in before clicking more options. I send hundreds of these a week and it's a big-time suck to wait on every single one of them. It used to work normal, it no longer does.

    When I click requestion E-Signatures, I type in the person I'm sending it to and click more option to extend the date out further. 20. Enterprise User Activity and Product Usage Reporting for All Adobe Products

    As an Adobe Enterprise customer, we require the ability to identify inactive Adobe Acrobat users to effectively manage and optimise license allocation.

    Currently, the Adobe Admin Console and Global Admin Console provide license assignment and administrative reporting, however they do not provide visibility into actual Adobe Acrobat usage by assigned users.

    We would like Adobe to provide reporting capabilities that include:

    • Last Acrobat application usage date per user
    • Last Acrobat sign-in date per user
    • Product activity history by user
    • User activity reports filtered by product (for example, Acrobat Pro)
    • Ability to identify users with no activity for a configurable period (30, 60, 90 days)
    • Exportable reports in CSV format

    Example use case:

    An organisation with hundreds or thousands of Acrobat licenses needs to identify users who have not used Acrobat in the last 30, 60, or 90 days so licenses can be reassigned to other users who require them.

    Without this information, organisations must rely on third-party asset management tools, endpoint management platforms, or manual user surveys to determine license utilisation.

    Benefits:

    • Improved license optimisation
    • Reduced software costs
    • Better visibility of product adoption
    • More efficient license reclamation processes
    • Reduced administrative overhead
    • Improved ROI for Adobe Enterprise customers

    This capability is commonly available in other enterprise SaaS platforms and would significantly improve Adobe license management for Enterprise and ETLA customers.
