  1. The purpose of this is to allow you to search through PDF files that have been scanned via Adobe Scan on your laptop computer by means of Mac OS spotlight or other searching programs on your local computer. Currently it is cumbersome to search through multiple PDFs that have been added to your Adobe Documents Cloud Folder. You can only search using Adobe DC (because they are only in the cloud unless you copy each one to a local folder individually). It would also make it significantly easier to create parent folders for Topics of documents within the cloud folder…

  2. I have several potfolio with simial structure. Each time I open them I want a view with a vertical split in the window and the source folder added to the file deails pane. Not a big deal but adds up to some time. I have not been successful in finding a custom layout which provides this - they seem to be a daunting subject.. So my question is would it be possinle to write a macro I could run on opening the layout and where could I find hints/advice on how to write such a macro.

  3. Prior to Adobe DC, one option for printing was to "print color as black". This was different from 'Gray scale" in that lighter colors (like yellow and pink) would come out as light gray. For folks printing line drawings (piping and electrical diagrams), this is a NECESSITY since the gray scale lines are almost illegible.

Previous versions permitted this or provided a work around to print like this.

Please reintroduce this to the options, otherwise, we have to use other software to generate the files.

If this capability does exist, please make the option simple to find.

    Hi,

    Thanks for you valuable feedback.
To Print color as black you can try this:
Select Print, then the Advanced button. Under Color Management, scroll nearly to the bottom of Color Profile. There you’ll find Black & White. Select this, then, OK, the Print.
    Is this solve your issue?

    Best Regards!

  4. When first applying a hairline fix in Acrobat (all lines below 0,25 pt to 0,25 pt) and then flattening transparency in Acrobat using the transparency flattener, Acrobat crashes. I see the progress bar going to 100% and then Acrobat crashes without any error.

BUT... if I skip the hairline fix step, then Acrobat flattens the file without problems. So there must be something with the hairline fix that causes the transparency flattener to crash.

Using Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20098 on Mac.

    Example files in attachment.
    File ...WITH... crashes while flattening.
    File ...WITHOUT... flattens fine.

We apologise for the issue you are facing. Yes, the crash is reproducible. We will investigate this and revert back.

  5. Bug report: Acrobat Pro Compare documents is missing noticeable changes from the old document to new document using the "Reports, spreadsheets, magazine layouts" option.

Can be reproduced by using the Compare Documents feature and comparing an older document to a newer document.

    Version: 2015 Release (Classic) 2015.006.30355
    OS: Windows 10, Windows 7, Server 2012R2

Expected Result: Compare documents feature should catch noticeable changes in the document from the old document to new document.

I attached a screenshot of an area missed by the compare feature (highlighted in red circle), if needed I can provide the 2 documents used to compare.…

  7. I was able to do this in the past. The most recent update must have removed the ability. I would select the "spot" or the edge of the page where the document feeder skewed the page in the scanner, then hit delete. Now I am unable to do this. I want to be able to present clean documents.

If I am not wrong you are using edit functionality of Acrobat. There you can select the edge or small bounding ox and delete it if it is not required.
If not please use Edit tool.

If you are facing any issue on any file please share the files.

    Thanks.

  9. We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.

It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.

However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.

We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.

The gradient background are written in CSS.

    Could we have a solution?

    Tks.

  11. I have a creative cloud subscription but all my apps changed to "start 7-day trial" or "buy now". Even a complete uninstall of all apps and creative cloud app followed by a fresh install did not solve the problem. Also my Adobe Acrobat X has been uninstalled without my approval.

  12. German, as we know, is a language with some very long words. Therefore it is very common that words will be automatically split across lines, using what we used to call a "soft" hyphen. When exporting a PDF in German to a Word document, this "soft" hyphen is not distinguished from a "hard" hyphen (i.e. one which is produced by a key-stroke (as in the hyphen used just then).
I was asked yesterday to "Compare" a revised document in German (submitted as a pdf) with a former version in Word, and submit an estimate for updating the English translation. The…

2 Receive PDF with comments.Select text in comment, either in popup window or in sidebar list, and copy to clipboard. Check clipboard contents: empty.
3 Any version of DC, Mac platform. Have deleted files, the application, all Adobe software, reinstalled. Created new user profile. Purchased a NEW COMPUTER and installed DC. The problem is OS-, file- and device-independent.
4 Expected result: copying text would result in it being copied to the clipboard.

  14. When you have to resize a field such as a check box, it is more efficient to do a copy and paste. However, it is a pain to have to go back and edit each and every field with a unique name. This occurs because your paste autopopulates the name field with the same name. This feature should be able to be turn on or off as needed.

  17. Acrobat pro won't open properly on my iMac running Sierra 10.12.6.
I can see it in the menu bar at the top of the screen, but it won't open any further than that.
I have been able to click on file-open and managed to open a file, but none of the tool functions work.

Apologies for the trouble, can you provide the Acrobat version you are using. Also please provide the following logs:

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Update Helper DC.log”

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Updater DC.log”

    “/Var/log/install.log”

  18. Since upgrading my iMac to MAC OS 10.13 Adobe Acrobat DC has become horribly unstable. It crashes constantly, but inconsistently. Sometimes it crashes when it's just open and sitting in the background. Sometimes it crashes when I'm attempting to open a PDF. It crashes regularly when I'm attempting to edit a PDF into a form. I don't get any on screen feedback except the dialog boxes asking if I want to report the "unexpected quit" to Apple, and then Adobe. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat DC. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

  20. More Flexibility in Find and Search. For text and for linked images.

Currently you are limited to find one word at a time and this is linked to UK or US dictionary spellings

In the future, you could add multiple words and can be linked to a predetermined list of spellings you had set up.

Ideally, if you wanted to find images linked to a predetermined list of file names.
