  1. As with Acrobat 9 Pro, your new DC versions needs a "choose pages or select pages" option when combining multiple documents into one pdf. The old version easily allowed you to select the individual document, and enter that you wanted to include only pages 1-22, 56-68, 543. Only these pages would be included. With DC I was just told by your customer support team that I would need to expand the document, and scroll through what could be a 1,000 page document and hand select the pages I need.     Hi Liz G,

    Sorry for the late reply.
    Selecting page range for combing is already present in combine feature of Acrobat.
    After adding the file switch to list view of combine and Select the pdf you want to choose mention the range and click on “Page Range”. choose your page range (eg 1-5,10-12 etc). Combine to get desire result.

    Thanks for reporting your concern. This seems to be a case of mistaken identity. Adobe employees do contact customers directly to help them in any issues they are facing. Do let us know in case you face any other issue.

  3. When macs left unattended and Acrobat pro running the application increasing consumes CPU time and memory. Coming in the next morning my machine is extremely slow to respond. This is happening on two mac machines I use.. one Sierra 10.12.6 and one High sierra. Both machine regularly use MS office applications and Saffari and Chrome browsers. Both utilize Mcafee. Acrobat will not close unless being forced to do so.

  5. Bug - I have up to date Microsoft Outlook for mac (subscription) as well as a subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. The idea of a subscription (which is pretty expensive) is that you get the most recent version of the software.

    I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for about two weeks now. My experience has been very negative. The specific issue that annoys me is the ability to email a PDF file. When I attempt to do this one of two things happen:

  6. Both, Acrobat DC and Reader DC ignore the "General preferences > Use Single Key Accelerators To Access Tools" settings.

    Although I checked this option, whenever I open a PDF document, acceleration keys (e.g. "H" or "D" for changing the selection mode) don't work.

    Deselecting and selecting this option in General Preferences temporarily enables this feature, but both programs "forget" this setting the next time one of them is getting launched.

    HI David,
    We tried on our side on the latest build. It is fixed on our side. Please update on the latest build.
    Although the issue faced by you may be because you have not turned off Protected View, Please turn it off and you won’t be facing the issue anymore.

  7. In Acrobat XI Pro and Acrobat DC, when using the Advanced settings in Print, items such as Screening do not actually persist with saved custom profiles. If you select settings and save it under a new profile, switch to another and then view the profile where you had the desired settings, the settings will be found to never have saved in the first place.

    Additionally there is no way to save these custom profiles as a default.

  8. Here's an idea...whenever trying to edit a picture and this ANNOYING message pops up:
    "The object you selected uses transparency and might look different in your editing application. Furthermore, the appearance of the page may change in unexpected ways after this object is edited. Do you want to edit this object anyway?"

    A NEW OPTION appears > DO NOT ASK AGAIN FOR EVER AND EVER THRU ETERNITY. THANKS

  9. When extract the last page of the attached PDF, the quotation marks at the point 1 of footnotes will be overlapped by other characters.

  10. Cannot uncheck "whole word" from Find box. It's there but grayed out. There is no way to uncheck by default. Have to open the cumbersom full search panel, but it still won't change the default.

    Hi Laura

    Seems like your default Excel handler is changed to Acrobat. You can change the default Excel handler by following steps:

    1. right-click on any Excel file.
    2. Go to Properties.
    3. Click on “Change…” button against "Opens With: " and select Excel from the list of apps. If you don’t see it, click on More Apps or navigate to your Excel install location where you can find excel.exe
    4. Once done, click on Apply > OK.

    It should work fine now.

  15. Highlighting is the main reason why I use pdfs. The main method that I use is selecting the text through hold left click and drag followed by right click and highlight. Usually the page is zoomed so that I can read the text. In a two-column journal, it is often the case that I want to highlight text from one column [bottom] to the other [top] but because the page is zoomed in, the page has to autoscroll back to the top - the speed which this happens is very slow.

    Solution:
    Please consider enabling selected text [hold left click]…

  18. I just installed Acrobat Pro DC and the it keeps shutting down after running only 10-20 seconds. I can occasionally open a file quickly enough, but after opening file, Pro DC then shuts down. Went through Adobe troubleshooting (checked updates, Distiller, repair installation), but problem persists. Note that I did NOT set Pro DC as my default program for PDF files. My original Acrobat Pro XI is running fine.

  19. It is not an idea, it is a bug.

    When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function. When I go to properties/calculations and user definted calcuations and add the copied text there, click ok enough times thennothing happens. when i look into the field…

  20. .eml formats are not currently supported by Adobe Acrobat to be able to convert these files into a pdf format. Please support this format.
