1. Improve the Bates Numbering

   Currently the Bates Numbering option does not allow the user to select folder and subfolders to the window for incorporating Bates Numbering. Users currently have to separate the subfolders onto the desktop and then add each folder separately to the list, once all the folders are added, the functionality can then be operated. However, most of the time users have up to 500 subfolders, so its essential that the subfolders are numbered to that the Bates numbering follows numerically correctly. 2. Support for opening and combining OpenOffice Documents, odt and the like.

   Simply format support for OpenOffice formats used by OpenOffice and LibreOffice.

   This is vital for those that prefer those formats over Microsoft Office formats. While they aren't as fully featured or useful in some cases they are free and open source making them a great alternative to the closed source formats of their Microsoft counterparts. Plus my book features some of these formats and i'm too lazy to convert them over...

3. Acrobat Pro crashes when using NVDA with Visual Highlight setting turned on

   This has been a problem for a few months but I just recently pinpointed the problem to not just using NVDA but having the NVDA setting "Visual Highlight" turned on.

   The Visual Highlight setting in NVDA is very useful, both for me as an accessibility tester to have a visual reminder where I am in the document and also for recording purposes, to show others how NVDA moves through a document and announces elements.

   I have tried:

   • uninstalling both NVDA and Acrobat Pro and reinstalling them (after restarting my computer)

   • tried both having NVDA on first then opening the PDF, and having the PDF open then turning NVDA

   • using the Repair tool in Acrobat to repair the installation

   I'm using an HP 14 inch laptop running Windows 11 Home 64 bit, OS build 26100.7462, 8 GB RAM, AMD Athlon Gold 3150U with Radeon Graphics processor, 238 GB storage

5. Remove AI and clean up your feature request / bug reports

   Remove AI. Also, actually look at your feature requests and bug reports. There are odd submissions for dating sites, fps hacks, and a bunch of other suspicious activity that does not belong here. Also, please remove AI. If you want me to use AI, I will and will stop using adobe. I bet ChatGPT can make me a better PDF than whatever garbage acrobat is doing.

7. TEXT RECOGNITION IN PDF SO THAT WORDS CAN BE HIGHLIGHTED

   The Convert Webpage to PDF, and Add Webpage PDF functions were completely destroyed by Adobe about 9 months ago.  I requested fixes a couple of times and eventually Adobe restored these to much better functionality about a month ago.  I responded that the functions were now good.

   BUT I have since found that once the PDF is created from a webpage, there is no text recognition within the PDF.  When I try to use the OCR recognition function, it responds "could not perform recognition because this page contains renderable text".  

   The consequence of this is that highlighting of individual words is IMPOSSIBLE.  It just wants to highlight a huge square.

   Once again, Microsoft Print to PDF and much better at all this than Adobe Acrobat Pro -which is charging a lot and increasing its price.

8. Why is it still SO BAD!?!

   It would get a great idea to actually make Fill & Sign work. After 12 versions and years of offering this tool, how great would it be if it actually worked in a bug-free and intuitive manner. Just upgraded from 11 and tried to fill a form. When you hover over an entry field, it seems to find the location of text entry and puts in "Type Text Here." Sometimes you can type text in the entry field. Sometimes you can enlarge or make smaller the text. Sometimes you can go back and edit the text. Sometimes it just puts "Type Text Here" and you can't edit that or delete it. Sometimes it puts a new "Type Text Here" over the old "Type Text Here." Sometimes you can delete all the letters of "Type Text Here" except the initial "T." Quite frequently it does something else completely random. And, as everyone who has used a computer for the last 35 years would intuitively understand, CTRL-Z won't work do undo field entries or go backwards as it does in just about every other tool in Acrobat and every other app available for Windows. I mean, after all these years how can it be so broken?!? Do your programmers not know how to test? Do none of them ever actually fill in PDF forms on a day to day basis? I could see if it had some of the same problems as version 11, but why is it worse now in the new version? For a 2025 application program, this is really a bad showing for a company's flagship product and just makes me think Adobe is incapable of producing good software anymore. But alas, I need it for work so I will just go back to fighting it.

10. Bug: Font color changes to black when creating PDF from MS Word file

    Using latest MS Word and latest Acrobat DC on latest MS Windows.
    Creating PDF from docx file, turned off all accessibility features in Word and Acrobat. Settings maximised for best quality.
    Since last week, the export is rendering some fonts as Black in the PDF, whereas in Word they are Navy blue, or white with navy background.
    Rebooted, installed updates, tried other colour combinations, checked all Word and Adobe settings for accessibility. I have opened the PDF in other viewers and the problem persists. Images are all fine, it's just the font colour which changed.
    This was working ok one week ago - I have not changed the colors since. See screenshots.
    Same behaviour whether using the 'Create' function in Adobe DC or using Export to PDF from Word.

11. Request: Upgrade Acrobat OCR Engine to AI-based Model

    The current OCR engine in Adobe Acrobat is outdated and often fails to recognize text accurately, especially with complex layouts or low-quality scans.
    Please consider integrating a modern AI-based OCR engine, similar to Google Cloud Vision or ABBYY FineReader, to significantly improve recognition accuracy and multi-language support.

    The advancement of AI-based OCR is especially critical for users in non-English regions or those working with complex scripts. The current engine’s accuracy drops significantly for non-alphabetic languages, which directly impacts both operational efficiency and fairness.

16. Read Aloud not working

    Read aloud is malfunctioning. It will start okay, but then begin spelling words and not pausing between words. It seems that it can't change locations of reading the text with repositioning the cursor in the document. Is there a fix or update available for this?

17. The "This appears to be a long document. Save time by reading a summary." banner is a disgrace.

    The "This appears to be a long document. Save time by reading a summary." banner is disrespectful and a disgrace. My document only had 6 pages and this popped-up. How you shove AI tools in our faces has gone beyond all dignity. Also, this banner "eats up" monitor space and therefore my document is displayed smaller than it could have been! Add an option inside preferences to prevent this banner from appearing.

    As others have pointed out, the constant AI popups are annoying and force us to waste our time. I work for a business that has security concerns and do not feel comfortable with your programs summarizing our data.
