  1. 'Combine Files' doesn't combine. It creates 2 tabs, and that's not what I need. I need a single scrolling file of multiple pages. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. This new version is not intuitive or user friendly. It's visually ugly. There's too much clicking around to find the different tools that you need. Due to the weird organization, I'm wasting time trying to figure out how to get what I need. It's not efficient. Frankly, I hate everything about it.

  2. The problem is as follows:

    • A PDF document is downloaded from the court site (10th Circuit Court of Appeals for example).
    • The downloaded PDF document needs to be combined with a Word brief to submit to the court.
    • The files are converted to PDF through File Explorer (select the Word document and downloaded PDF documents, right-click, Combine files in Acrobat)
    • Save the combined PDF.
    • Login to the site and attempt to upload the combined PDF, the following error occurs:

<PDF> cannot be uploaded. Documents with executable code are not permitted.

    When uploading the files individually,…

  3. In the past hour, Acrobat has frozen and stopped responding 10 times from basic usage such as scrolling and marking the PDF with the draw tool. This has been a recurring issue for quite some time now and the new update has exacerbated this. This is making my job take far longer than it should and is simply unacceptable from a well established and widely used format such as PDF. Focus on stability instead of updates that put more bloatware in your program.

  4. It would be really great to have a search function that can actually function. Please, forget this AI add-on stuff, and just work on good basic functions for your PDF reader. I'd like to be able to switch between a 2-up view with scrolling without having to REPEATEDLY go through several layers of menu. I would never use Reader if I didn't have to for work: it's awful. Bloated, cluttered, awkward, and basic functions work badly or not at all.

  5. The blue prompt box that says "Your last session ended abruptly. Click here to reopen the PDFs from the last session." comes up whenever I have closed a PDF and reopen another, regardless of how long it was open, how much of it I scrolled through, etc. It is driving me bonkers. Please add an option to turn the prompt off. If I had closed it by accident I would just reopen the file directly, I don't need to be prompted by the viewing program.

  8. Why can't i talk to an expert about the issues I'm having? All the tutorials are much too basic and scrolling through all the reams of posts is exhausting and never results in an answer. I need advice on how to save a pdf. file with radio buttons and fillable sections so i can send it to a client for completion. Why is there no detailed best practice on how to use pre-flight so that forms work for your clients?

  9. When working in CAD / DTP programs in Windows, almost all use scroll wheel also as panning tool (hand) when wheel is pressed down. As page manipulation is one of basic actions when viewing maps, plans etc. in Acrobat, it is very annoying that Acrobat acts differently as other programs.

If you have software that you love and that works, that is responsive, and that is stable, please stop using it. We have something fantastic for you!

  12. I edit PDF documents and need to look consistently at different sections of each page at a time. Currently, I need to just look at the bottom section of each page, while zoomed in. If I go to navigate to the next page, the view automatically goes to the top of the next page which necessitates me scrolling down each time. I'd love functionality where you can navigate to the next page and you'd be "anchored" at the bottom of the page rather than the top. Thanks! : )

  13. When DC Pro is set to single page display (scrolling is easier/more precise) ctrl+a only selects the current page

Adobe say this is not a bug, but I believe it is because ctrl+a should select all, not just the page being viewed

As this basic functionality is altered by a simple setting it is a bug

So they suggested making a feature request

Please make DC Pro select all (not just the current page) when the select all shortcut is used while in single page mode

    1. I would like to be able to prepopulate the Layout and Magnification options under Initial View in Document Properties and also the language in the Advanced tab.
    2. I use to be able to see the file size for my recent documents on the home page...I can't anymore. Sad face.
    3. When I OCR, sometimes images are rotated. I would like for there to be an option where the images are left alone after the OCR.
    4. Scrolling among the languages for the OCR is challenging.

  15. Please allow resizing/expansion of the side panel used for formatting and tab order, etc. There is a horizontal scroll bar on the bottom, but if you have longer field names, it is inconvenient to have to scroll back and forth. For those with wider monitors, this should be expandable horizontally or a pop-out window that is expandable.

  16. When printing an Excel workbook, if any of the tabs have "autofit" turned on, or a Shrink to Fit percentage, the output PDF has different size pages, rather than being shrunk to fit.

For example, print a simple workbook tab with 90% scaling on 8.5x11 paper, and the PDF created measures 9.44x12.22 inches. It should be 8.5x11 inches.

This causes strange behavior during continuous scrolling, as the user expects to see the same size page boundary (A4/Letter) and they are all different. Other non-Adobe PDF software does not do this.

  17. function bookmrk.GetByTitle stoped working as it should. It worked properly early. We tried to reinstall then Acrobat, but it didn't help.
Windows 7. Acrobat Pro DC 2021.007.20102

    MainPartDocument.Open("C:\1\1.pdf")

  19. I am experiencing a similar issue that was written in this bug report "Bug - PDF Tag Panel does not match Reading Order Tool by marking all Tags as Span". It appears that others have encountered this issue as well, but since the form was posted in 2019, I want to ensure it hasn't already been marked as resolved. Here is a link to this post (https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/37571164-bug-pdf-tag-panel-does-not-match-reading-order-t)

My situation is similar to the original post, but I am facing an issue with converting a Microsoft Word document to a PDF. Although the document appears correctly, the reading order(viewer…
