2. Page Navigation

   When using the arrows to scroll page by page through a file, the navigation arrows jump back and forth across the top of the page if the length of the page title differs, making it impossible to quickly click through the document without chasing the arrows around. This is a clear oversight and design flaw.

3. Zooming in Adobe Acrobat inactive window doesn't work

   In Windows 10 you have the possibility to scroll inactive windows (Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them).

   You only have to hover over the inactive window with the mouse and you can scroll. It's the same with zooming. When you press CTRL and scroll, it zooms the window under the cursor of the mouse. It works with all other apps, i.e. MS Office, even other Adobe apps like Illustrator, InDesign, etc. but not with Adobe Acrobat. You have to actually click (activate) the window with PDF for that to work. Will it be changed?

4. Acrobat Document Properties View Limited

   Acrobat Document Properties View Limited:

   When creating xdp files and saving them as static pdf's from AEM Designer, the Form Title is getting cut-off and is inaccessible when you open the file with Acrobat. Please see the screenshot of the issue attached to this post.

   Replication steps:
   1. Open designer and create a new XDP
   2. Open Form Properties and enter a Title longer than 400 characters under the Info tab
   3. Save file as Static PDF
   4. Open pdf with Acrobat and Click Menu > Document Properties
   5. Title is cut-off and the container doesn't allow for scrolling and/or expansion

   Please note that this affects all fields in the document properties view.

5. Page navigation

   I just installed the latest version in hopes of solving an OCR problem. Where o where are the page navigations? I have to scroll to page 296? I have searched for every term I can think of related to Page Width, View, Previous/Next Page, full Page View, etc., etc., etc.
   I have 3 projects going out today - no time for tutorials or scrollong to page 296. Please help!

6. It's easy to accidentally click request e-signatures instead of view more tools

   I recently had the "Request e-signatures" button load under my mouse cursor when trying to click on "View more" tools in the All tools sidebar.

   I would like the area where the "Request e-signatures" to load in as the tools panel is loaded to reserve space for the e-signatures button. This would make it easier to click on "View more" without waiting for the e-signatures button to load as there is not a scroll bar on the tools panel until the signature panel is loaded.

8. BRING BACK the little top and bottom arrows on the scroll bar

   I see below a lot of comments about the scroll bar. I want to know where the little up and down arrows went! My gosh, their function is profound. When working in a thousand-page document in which I have to find the minutiae of data point, I need the little arrows. The big scroll bar is NOT precise enough to work on one page of a document. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK. Why did you break something that was not broken. What was wrong with the little arrows? Please, I beg of you, bring them back like in prior versions.    The little arrows on ends of scroll bar are missing in latest version of adobe acrobat pro - please please bring these back
   OR
   make the response to moving the scroll bar much, much finer
   OR
   make the response to clicking above/below the scroll bar much much finer.

   At the momentthe response is too big and doesn't alllow for very fine up and down movements of the doc.

10. page control

    In the new version of Acrobat (just became available), the page control features need to be returned.

    In the old version, the page controls toolbar could be docked at the top or made so it would appear at the bottom of the page when the mouse went near it. That option was incredibly useful, please bring it back. It allowed an easy single click to change how the page was viewed, either by making single page view, or page scroll, and also by allowing a quick button to view page thumbnails.

    Also, in the new Acrobat, there doesn't appear to be a pan function, please bring that back too.

    1. Combine files into a Binder always FORCES the default to be filename sequence.
       The User should NOT be forced to move HUNDREDS of files in a large document
       just to get them in the proper sequence.

       Yes, there is the "Move Up/Down" option which works on each file ONE AT A TIME.
       However, has anyone on the Acrobat team actually tried to do that to resequence
       over 1,000 pages into an absolutely different non-alpha result??? THINK DAYS !!!!

      - If the files are in different folders, it ignores the folder structure, even if 
        WINDOWS EXPLORER is sorted to list the files in folder/filename sequence 
        [See Example #1 at the end.]
    
      * >>>>> Using different tools, I've finally been able to achieve the desired result! 
          I've combined over 1,000 pages coming from DIFFERENT folders  
          and subfolders so that the final Binder is true to actual file sequence in 
         each of the original folders (including their respective subfolders). <<<<<
    

    1. "Expected an array object" error when comparing 2 pdf's
       • Indicate which page/pages has/have error
       • It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find the "cause(s) in a 3,000 page document

      - Worst of all, the document seems to be correct during most steps. 
         During several steps, it can be searched and put into a binder.  
         Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, this error occurs and all 
         subsequents tasks cannot be run!   
    
      - A compare of the document is NOT possible. See "Docu Processing"
    
      >>>>>> I found this is the Acrobat archive: 
      value at index 0 must be an indirect object
      "Closing this request, As there is no plan to fix this bugs in Acrobat XI."

    The problem we have is that the error message(s) don't even tell us on which page it encountered the error.     1. Compare numerous pdf's in batch-type logic and determine if they are identical. Better yet, simultaneously allow the User to place the identical ones. in the Recycle Bin.

     - As verified by tech support, it is only possible to compare one 
       pdf with another. Because of the way Acrobat works, a minor 
       change not related to the content will never match as per any 
       and all of the available compare programs. 
    
       >>>>> For example, open MyTest.pdf. Save as 123.pdf and 
                    save again as 456.pdf.    Do NOT make any changes! 
    
                    Looking at KB-size, the documents will seem identical, 
                    but they will in fact differ by 1 to 3 bytes in size. 
    
     - Basically, because the filename is stored somewhere in the
       document, the 3 pdf's will NEVER compare as "EQUAL", unless 
       they are reviewed in a tedious, manual, multi-step manner. 
    
     - Yes: Acrobat's Tools > Compare  pdf#1 with pdf#2  
        will "reveal" that the content is identical. 
    
      - Now consider the nightmare of trying to "cull" old backups 
        or various attempts to "combine" ....... and you can see that 
        MONTHS would be required. 
    
      - I have purchased several compare packages. They work fine 
        on many file types,  but they absolutely CANNOT handle 
        batch pdf compares!
    
     - Think of charging 
             (just  $25 for such a tool)   x
             (the millions of worldwide Acrobat Users)   x 
             (only 20% purchased)    = 
       LOTS AND LOTS of profit for Adobe !!!!!!!!!!!!
    

    1. It seems that various financial institutions etc have
       different ways of INTERNALLY storing the contents of
       a pdf. Specifically, FONTS are not FONTS. That means
       that documents when printed look 100% alike, but
       when electronically compared, the FONTS and similar
       information causes havoc.

       Adobe is the leader in pdf creation.

       There is a need to batch compare or batch redact
       without the nightmare of font-like hidden elements.

    2. Protection > Redaction could also be greatly improved
       to make life easier for the user:

       Global redact in this document:

       From "text 1234567" to "text 12...67"

       From Medicare xxxx-xx-xxxxA to Medicare xxxx-xx-xxxx.
       (Remove only the last letter of the longer text).

    Example #1 (To achieve max chaos, use 50 folders each with 50 subfolders)

       Folder 1      1
                             7
                             x
                             y
                             z 
    
       Folder 2      1
                             9
                             a
                             b
                             c
    

    • Use Windows Explorer to search for *.pdf and sequence by folder.
    • Windows properly lists 1-7-x-y-z followed by 1-9-a-b-c
    • Block copy the above and right click in that sequece to "combine"
    • No matter how hard you try, the Binder has 1-1-7-9-a-b-c-x-y-z
    • Yes, it bunches the 1's !!!!!
    • Repeat the test with 1,000 different filenames and sequence using MOVE UP .... and collapse from exhaustion!

    This still does not work
    "Compare Documents - Please add an option or setting to the compare document feature so that shifts in paragraphs of unchanged text are not marked as changes. ... Currently it shows as a text delete and then a text insert on the following page.

    Batch processing to Actions in Acrobat DC HOW?!?!?
    Can you provide a "plain English" description on how to create a "batch processing" type Action that can be use on multiple files at once? I have hundreds of files that I need to set open options on and add specific bookmarks to. Trying to do this one at a time is NOT happening. Urgent please!

    If you check the internet, there are literally hundreds of people who really need these features.
    As the market standard, Adobe would help it Users if these features were implemented.

13. fill and sign window too large

    When I use the fill and sign tool, the new window zooms out and I cannot see the entire page, yet I cannot zoom in. I have to scroll from the top of the page where I am adding a check mark or a circle, and then have to scroll to the bottom to sign and date. Our office does this for 300+ pages a day. Adobe 2017 didn't have this issue. It's inefficient.

14. Fix how commenting or typing text into document works

    I type comments onto my student's pdf's of their screenplays. The text often stops
    working if I scroll away to double check something on another page forcing me to create a new text box, AND, it will display that same text in random places on other pages.

    Also, I would like the ability to create my own text box dimensions so that the text wraps and stays confined to the text box instead of just continuing off screen which makes no sense as a feature. In what circumstance could that be helpful?

    Please fix the wonky acrobat features to make typing text onto a document actually work.

    The latest 64bit version of Acrobat Reader is very slow on a larger file (13MB, 2800 pages of primarily text).
    Specifically version 2023.001.20064 64 bit.
    Loading takes at least a minute. Opening the comments panel requires 30sec.

    Moving by clicking a Bookmark is fast after everything loads. I have plenty of memory, 64GB vs 8GB used.

    Testing finds the slowdown occurs after comments have been added. And I mean only 2 comments. Even after the slow load, it requires 18sec to jump between the pages with the comments. In contrast, FoxIt Reader, is functionally instantaneous.

    Acrobat Reader is unusable in this state. I have removed it.

18. Combine PDFs & Table of contents: bad design

    1. I need to combine multiple large files of different formats- pdfs, landscape + portrait, word files with multiple page breaks/sections; some landscape & portrait. I downloaded the trial wanting to try this out, willing to pay for a high quality product to get this job done right. I was disappointed after mere tests of a couple of small files the combine pdfs command crashes every time without fail.
    2. Mac OSX 10.12.5
    3. Easily compiled files into pdf and an option to create a test fortmat (not the bookmarks solution) table of contents easily after combining.
    4. Not only does this function not appear to work well which does not boost my confidence to pay the ridiculous amount you charge for it, but also it appears online this issue has been around for years, without solution, with staff offering workarounds instead. Yeah, i know the workaround, i wanted a high quality product instead, i wont be paying for a workaround, thanks.. There are free products out there offering seamless combine file commands--but still no one with a reasonably priced table of contents solution. Unbelievable. Ill take the free product and use the workaround for the TOC instead of paying for your product then and im sure theres thousands of others out there making the same choice. Shame.

19. The document could not be saved. Bad parameter.

    Spent ages trying to Fill and Sign a document, then encountered an "The document could not be saved. Bad parameter." error. Trashed all my effort, because I now can't save, or export, or even push it to the cloud. All methods of saving, exporting, optimising, saving as images, etc., fail. I've wasted my time.

    Also, all thumbnails show up as white, as does the entire page if you scroll towards the top. Scroll down, and the pages look as normal... but the file won't save, under any circumstances. Terrible user experience, unprofessional, etc.

    Happened just by taking this file and filling in the form fields, plus signing.

20. Keyboard shortcut for "Go to next sticky note"

    We need a keyboard shortcut for "go to the next sticky note." This would prevent my having to scroll through the comments pane if I have a lot of callouts and text boxes (in addition to sticky notes).

    Sorting the comments doesn't work; I need to be able to see the text boxes and callouts as I'm reviewing the sticky notes.
