1. Please add a shortcut to add a text comment to a pdf without having to select the comment in the side pane

   This is similar to how it is possible to highlight or underline only by selecting a text in the PDF without the need to select the "Comment" section on the side pane. I was hoping that it could be added when doing a right click on the PDF along with the "Add sticky note" and "Add bookmark".

2. Acrobat Reader DC Freezes up

   Acrobat Reader DC freezes up. this started about 2 weeks ago. Ehen opening a PDF some time i can scroll for a short while then it freezes or some times it freezes as soon as it is launched. I've been through all of the suggested steps nothing so far helps. what next? I don't get an error code. Operating system is Windows 8.1. It worked fine on windows 8.1 earlier so I assume an update was pushed that was not compatible with my machine.

3. Output Preview page rendering / zooms in when checking separations

   When using Output Preview to view separations, the document will zoom in to the upper left corner sporadically when clicking on and off different separation channels (ie. Black, Cyan, etc.) If you move to another scroll to another page or manually zoom in and out it might display correctly, but it might not. It's very random, but it happens consistently when you're in Output Preview. If you close the Output Preview window, the display goes back to normal.

5. Choose pages option in Combine

   As with Acrobat 9 Pro, your new DC versions needs a "choose pages or select pages" option when combining multiple documents into one pdf. The old version easily allowed you to select the individual document, and enter that you wanted to include only pages 1-22, 56-68, 543. Only these pages would be included. With DC I was just told by your customer support team that I would need to expand the document, and scroll through what could be a 1,000 page document and hand select the pages I need. Will not purchase program if this is the only way to select pages.

   Sorry for the late reply.
   Selecting page range for combing is already present in combine feature of Acrobat.
   After adding the file switch to list view of combine and Select the pdf you want to choose mention the range and click on “Page Range”. choose your page range (eg 1-5,10-12 etc). Combine to get desire result.

6. Don't move the document zoom after using "Set Page Boxes"

   If you use the "Set Pages Boxes" and apply the entered correction with "OK" the scrollbar moves to the top of the side. So I have to scroll down again to check my correction. If you have to work really detailed, it's quite annoying to scroll down again and again....

7. Create a tool to create expandable and retractable sections within a Form

   Adobe Pro needs to have a feature to create expandable drop down lists. I have seen it in other products, but it fits well with the PDF Pro.

   I would like to be able to create easy drop down check lists, divided by topic, so the user can expand the form in the areas they need. This will reduce time for the customer to have to scroll through the document to find what they are looking for and will increase the functionality of the document.

   I would like it to contain a plus box and minus box, so people can expand and retract the document if sections do not apply to what they need.

8. FRQ: Display page labels as well as page indices on page indicator

   With the old user interface for Acrobat, the page indicator in the toolbar used to display the current page label in addition to the current page index. This is useful for documents that have multiple sections each with their own page numbering, e.g. a preface with roman numerals i thru xix before the first page numbered 1. It was also useful to be able to enter a page number and be taken to the page with the corresponding label rather than just to the page at that index.

   However, since the launch of the new Acrobat user interface, page labels are no longer displayed on the page indicator. It is still possible to enter page labels and navigate to the corresponding page, but we can no longer see the page labels when we scroll through the document.

   I would prefer if the page indicator was able to display the current page label as well as the current page index, as was the case with the old interface for Acrobat.

9. Reduplicating Comments at Random

   The latest Acrobat is TERRIBLE!! Not only are old tools missing (page scroll is the worst!) but after adding a comment to page 1 of a document I was reviewing, I find it has also been posted on pages 2, 3, 5, 8 and on...

   Attempts to revise the text of a comment I added a few minutes earlier are thwarted. Acrobat no longer allows a user to revise their own entries??

   As I read the comment in the forum, there seems to be enough frustration with what this version has done, that simply providing access to download and use the previous version -- until you work out a few of the most egregious bugs -- the only reasonable option.

   PLEASE, PLEASE, undo the mess that has been released on us without warning.

10. the zoom in/out % box is so annoying

    (Windows users) after using Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out, the % box appears at the bottom right for a while, that makes me cannot use the space bar to scroll the screen immediately. It needs to wait for a while for the box to disappear. This is stupid and very bad user experience, pls fix it.

11. Acrobat PDF from Word 365 Outlined Level 1 Style Maps to Wrong Page in PDF

    This issue applies to MS Word 365 with Acrobat DC Pro Add-in.
    Word version: Microsoft® Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2201 Build 16.0.14827.20158) 64-bit
    Adobe Acrobat DC version: 2022.001.20117
    Background story:
    When the MS Word 365 Acrobat add-in is used to create a PDF (with create from headings selected in the Adobe preferences), bookmarks are created in the PDF output navigation panel as expected (refer to fig 3), but some of the headings do not link to their correct page when you click on them (they all default to page 1, top of the document). The affected styles are not MS Word headings as such but custom styles with MS Word paragraph Outline Level set to Level 1.
    In contrast, if I use the MS Word Save as PDF, the custom outline level 1 styles again appear in the PDF output navigation bookmarks and they all link to their correct pages in the PDF output document.
    Three support screen shot files are attached to aid this post as follows:
    Fig 1. word-custom template-outline-structure.jpg (this shows the basic structure of the source MS Word document).
    Fig 2. word-acrobat-addin-preferences-set.jpg (this shows the Acrobat addin prefrences set to headings).
    Fig 3. pdf-output-from-word-acrobat-addin-save-as-pdf.jpg (this shows the pdf output created from the source MS Word document. The Outline 1 style are all those above ‘List of Acronyms’.
    This triggers the question, how does Acrobat DC Pro recognize a MS Word 365 style as a heading and what determines how it automatically maps to the correct page. Is this a bug or a feature?

12. Add link to header/footer

    It would be great to be able to have links available in the headers/footers feature. This would help tremendously with very large doc’s with more than 100 pages, particularly if the reader of the document tries to jump from one section to another.

    This would help if one tries to create ‘Back to home page’ links on every page in a large pdf document. Say, one creates a ‘Table of Contents’ in the beginning of the deck, with links to every section in the deck. Once you get to the respective section (e.g. pages 120-150 in the deck), it would be great if the reader of the doc could just hit a ‘back to home page’ link at the top of the page that would take him/her back to the table of contents. This would make the pdf document truly ineractive, as it would allow the reader of the document to easily jump from one section to another, without having to scroll through hundreds of pages.

    Right now this could be achieved only by using the Rich Media / Button feature, but this only works on computers, not iPhones or iPads.

14. Display proper roman numeral page numbers

    Is there no way to properly display the page number labels in the "Go to a specific page number" box (the circled area of the attached screenshot)? For example, I'm on page ix, which is properly labelled ix (as shown in the Pages panel), but the box shows "9" rather than "ix". (I do realize this is because it's the ninth literal page in the file.) Then if I actually go to page 9, that gets displayed as "21". Although, note that I'd have to scroll away from page ix in order to type "9" in that box and actually get to page 9(/21). If I'm still on page ix and I type "9" into the box and hit enter, I just remain on page ix. Seems like quite the silly flaw. In previous versions, the roman numeral page numbers displayed correctly and this wasn't an issue.

    Currently you have to scroll the tools panel to see long form field names. It would be more user friendly to be able to see the whole name.

16. reviewing a form

    I have a form which I'm sending out for review.

    The text boxes have a scroll option to allow the user to see all the text.

    When I send it out for review the person reviewing cannot see the text the doesn't fit in the text box and there is no longer a scroll option.

    Any ideas how to correct this issue?

17. "Update" causes significant issues Adobe Acrobat DC (Professional) - BUG FIX NEEDED

    I need help about some significant problems that arose after a recent Adobe "Upgrade" - which is really a "Downgrade" in Acrobat DC Professional.

    I've searched other posts on the Community for this issue on Windows and did not find any (there were some similar Mac problems).

    It seems crazy to me that Adobe managed to mess up simple things like scroll bars in a recent "upgrade".

    There are no scroll bars on my version of Adobe Acrobat and I've tried some of the other threads on the community. Adobe will also no longer remember the last view settings.

    I challenge someone from Adobe to provide a simple yet effective fix to this problem - one that should never have arisen.

    Issue #1
    I've checked off "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" yet Adobe does not do this. For example, I need to press F8 each time I open Adobe to show the toolbars. So the check mark - it doesn't work!

    2 No Scroll Bars

    Some of the other posts I've seen online show an option under "Page Display" and "Page Content and Information" with a dialog box to "Always show scroll bars". As you can see in the screen shot below, there is no such option.

    As can be seen below, there are NO scroll bars, even when hovering on the edge of the document.

    I'm curious how to fix this and how Adobe managed to introduce such a significant bug into a recent "upgrade". Where is product testing?

18. Update

    I recreate a new post instead commenting last one, just to make sure it was taken as important it’s supposed to be, as a critical issue!
 Hoping you could create another hot fix for this major problem. 
We are now on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 and Acrobat Pro version 2023.008.20458. 

    1: when we use Text tool and select a text to modify all the page became white and we cannot see anything.
    2:There is also another problem when we scroll the pages, everything become white also.
    3: We are no longer even able to check the preflight result, blank pages again.
    It seems that no one from Adobe or Enfocus is actually using this version, as the problem would probably have been solved by now. Enfocus are aware since December 20 and nothing was done. This is our work tools, everything we done all day is using those tools. It's not possible for you to make an update to solve this? Each time Adobe make an update, that's create more problem we never imagine possible.

19. Be able to adjust width of Tools Pane by selecting the frame and moving it left or right. (Acrobat Standard DC 20.006.20034)

    Most GUI based applications allow the end user to adjust width of a page by grabbing the frame and moving it left or right.

    In my specific case, I am editing forms and the Tools pane shows the field names, which is nice, but I have to scroll the window to read the full names. There is a scroll bar on the bottom but this reduces the utility of the feature.

20. Trashy application and garbage user experience

    I have been using Acrobat Read (paid) for 1 year.

    The application is trashy at its best.

    1. Had crashes when exporting from word to pdf. It crashes 3/6 times.

    2. Export to pdf from word was changed recently and the user experience was broken. After the export to pdf the user is moved from the existing line to the beggining of the document. If you do this 100 times per day and if you work continously with the export this is not work - the product that designed this is idiot. He should have asked the customers. This new „feature” was recently „introduced”. Another idiocy of the application. Another broken feature not designed for customers.

    3. Another broken feature is when you open a pdf in the read and you select view of 2 pages. It used to align both of the pages correctly into the view of the reader and when you were paging 200 pages document it would correctly align each 2 new pages into the view and you were viewing only the 2 pages. Right now after it was „fixed”, the scroll was designed so idiotic that you see 4 pages, and you need to manually align them. When you have a 200 pages document this is stupid.

    4. The product is continously updated and reinstalled, meaning the level of bugs is so high that the application needs to be continously in repair mode.

    I have been using Acrobat Read (paid) for 1 year.

    The application is trashy at its best.

    1. Had crashes when exporting from word to pdf. It crashes 3/6 times.

    2. Export to pdf from word was changed recently and the user experience was broken. After the export to pdf the user is moved from the existing line to the beggining of the document.
