Program crashes while saving after background has been added
When sending bills or other letters as PDF I add our company logo in the background of the document via Acrobat. Everything works as expected until I save. Then the program crashes every time. The file however emerges complete and intact after I restart Acrobat.
MacOS 10.13.6
Acrobat PRO DC 2019.021.20061- Export PDF via Save Dialog from MS Word (ver. 16.16.17)
- Open PDF in Acrobat
- Add Background (PDF File with Vector Graphic)
- Save -> CRASH
I use the current version of Acrobat, but the issue has been persistent for years.

Update Acrobat Pro 2019.012.20036 does not display CID identity-h fonts
Since the Acrobat DC auto update last night to 2019.012.20036, my PDFs are not displaying any fonts.
On closer inspection the fonts have been embedded in the documents as CID identity-h type fonts from OTF originals. I believe this has always been the case.
Yesterday I could view the files, today all text is replaced with dots. Other people can view the PDFs correctly in Acrobat Reader. I can print on our digital press correctly. I can view the files in a browser correctly. Just cannot view them in Acrobat DC 20036. The fonts are from the Rotis Semi Sans family (RotisSemiSansStd-Regular.otf etc).
Workaround was to downgrade back to previous version.Since the Acrobat DC auto update last night to 2019.012.20036, my PDFs are not displaying any fonts.

Straighten
A button to straighten a scanned document would be so useful, particularly for anyone using a document feeder to scan. Currently, if you go to edit the document, it will straighten the pages for you, but it will sometimes convert handwritten notes into a font and change their appearance, which isn't ideal for signatures, for example. So, a separate option to straighten the document would be life changing for me at work.

When using Adobe sign, reviewing completed agreements. There is no SLIDER!
Add a slider to each section (completed agreements, agreements out for signature, etc.), so the user can easily scroll through them. Having to use the mouse scroll wheel is inconvenient compared to a slider.
When I opened the screen of completed agreements, I only saw the most recent ones. There is no way to know how many there are or to easily scroll through them.
This interface could be easily improved by adding a slider to the right of the screen. Not everyone has a mouse with a scroll wheel, and even if they do, it doesn't work as well as a slider.

Adobe Pro integration with One Drive storage.
Hello,
I’m a Independent Contractor for the Courts. I solely work from my iPad. IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR ALL ADOBE APPS (especially adobe sign), TO HAVE ‘ONCE DRIVE’ INTEGRATION. This would greatly help with document uploads and filing,1 vote -
Preflight BUG: under MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 (18E226) in Acrobat Pro version 2019.010.20098
under MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 (18E226) in Acrobat Pro version 2019.010.20098 when we try to perform run a preflight fix (generate 2 mm bleed), Acrobat can't do it telling there was an error but not showing what error. The same fix applied on the same file using the same version of acrobat works perfectly under MacOS 10.11.6 - We tested it on different machines with the latest version of MacOS and Acrobat.

Editing PDFs with rotation-grips of raster scanning-pages with steps of 0.5 degree without the minimum of 1 degree for small corrections
The editing features of Acrobat Pro DC is a main task of acquiring process of books for digitalization of image with borders (one raster images in every pages, by scanning processing). An AI features for automatically allignment (orizzontal or vertical), and the refine possibility to correct automatic allignment with edge-grips of images (feature present actually) but without the minimum of 2 degree and with capability of free rotation with steps of 0.5 degree (or 0.25 for values from 0 to 5 i.e.) showed in tooltips (as actually) can power significatively the editing features of Acrobat DC (Standard or Pro)
that is the main Adobe PDF solution for create PDF by scan. Please, remove the limit of minimum "2 degree" as requested by various users. Create an easy way to make a Photo Contact Sheet
It would be great to have an easy way to dump a file of multiple photos into Acrobat and create a PDF photo contact sheet. And be able to select how many photos on each page 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 etc per page

Ability to select how many pages OCR in Action Wizard
Users should be able to select how many pages are scanned for recognizable text in Action Wizard or when OCRing multiple documents.
Performing OCR and recognizing text on a single document gives the user the option to select how many pages they want to OCR. Action Wizard and performing OCR on multiple documents removes the ability to select how many pages are scanned. I have several thousand documents that I'm only interested in performing OCR on the first page.
How is this not a thing?

Remove the 5 license limit for purhasing
There should be no limit for purchasing licenses each month. As a system admin, it takes time and effort to go through chat support to have additional licenses purchased instead of being able to do it yourself. This is definitely a must for every system administrator. Plus, I'm not comfortable with the idea of the support team of being able to purchase on behalf of the company.

Acrobat Output Preview: colour warning: show overprinting: highlights object which does not actually overprint
POSSIBLE BUG
This was originally brought to my attention by my print vendor, who asked that I correct the overprint and resubmit the file for offset print. As I preflight all my files, I was caught off guard. But on re-inspection I could see the overprint issue.
During preflight process of the InDesign PDF file, a pattern graphic is highlighted as overprinting when selecting Output Preview: Colour Warning: Show Overprinting.
This graphic appears normal in separation view with Simulate Overprinting turned on – the separations and values appear correct. Output Preview: Object Inspector shows the object is false for any overprints (filled path: Constant and filled path: pattern), so this also appears correct.
Examining the original graphic, a pattern created in Illustrator CC 2020, there are no overprints in the attributes panel for the pattern itself (fill or stroke) nor the content box the pattern is filling. InDesign also shows there are no overprints.
I decided to test the overprint by placing an object behind the graphic in InDesign and exporting the PDF again. Output Preview with Simulate Overprint turned on does NOT show the graphic overprinting the object – all separations and values prove this – BUT the Colour Warnings still show the graphic overprinting.
I have opened other files which also contain similar graphics with Adobe Illustrator patterns, and they too show these graphics as overprinting in the Colour Warnings panel, but these files have proven to print correctly with the offset print vendor, ie they do not overprint.
I believe this is a bug that effects containers filled with Illustrator patterns. I have not tested to see if this is only InDesign PDF files or native Illustrator PDFs. PDFs have been created using the Coated Fogra39 profile, and a saved preset I have been using for several years without issue.

option in Mac platform for Print to Adobe PDF for fillable forms
On MAC platform, Print to Adobe PDF and Save as Adobe PDF do not work to change filled forms into forms without fill. This option is available on IBM platform. This is a major drawback for me and a huge market of legal professionals---we have to use Adobe PDF fillable forms created by courts--and the forms are locked so we can't sign them or edit them unless we can save them to a nonfillable format. PLEASE FIX THIS FATAL ERROR. Need an option like what is available on IBM platform. My option now is dump the Mac OR move the filled forms by thumb drive to a dinosaur HP laptop, open and save and re upload via thumb drive to the Mac. I do this average of 40 times a day now.

Save document in Cloud by Digitally Signing
On the moment I add a digitally signature, I need to save the document. It is only possible, on this point, to save the document locally. It would be great if I could save it then in the cloud, so I don't need to save the document locally first.

Bug Report: Adobe Bug when creating pdf from scanner in latest Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
This is not an idea. It is a report of a serious, newly introduced bug in your expensive software.
File -> Create -> PDF from Scanner worked fine for me for several years with my Epson WF-3540 printer/scanner, several levels and versions of Adobe Acrobat products - up to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - and my old Win7 laptop.
Last week I finally got around to deploying my new Win10 laptop and installing Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Today I needed to scan some letters to PDF and was surprised and disappointed.
My usual "File -> Create -> PDF from Scanner" brings up the "Scan & OCR" page with sections:
Scanner
(Epson WF-3540 is selected)
Scan using
"Default settings" radio button is pre-selected and cannot be de-selected
"Show scanner's user interface" is greyed out.
(The settings "gear icon" brings up a different page of options)
Or use a predefined scan setting
All of these options such as "Autodetect Color Mode" are greyed out. They cannot be selected.
My former procedure (with myWin7 computer) was to select one of the predefined settings and run with it. No problem.
Today, hitting Scan brings up a "What do you want to scan?" dialog box.
I change paper source from Flatbed to Document Feeder I select the "Black and white picture of text" radio button I select the "Adjust the quality of the scanned picture" hyperlink and increase Resolution from 100 to 300 DPI and hit OK (which changes the radio button selection to "Custom Settings" I change page size from Legal to "Letter 8.5 x 11"I hit Scan
IMPORTANT: There is no way to save these four steps! Must be repeated for every scanning event.
This is an unacceptable downgrade.
I chatted with a remote session with a support agent who concluded "That's the way it's intended to work in the latest edition". And "It cannot be fixed".
I submitted a request for assistance to the Adobe Support Community and received this reply from Amal:
"We are sorry for the trouble and the experience. Please use the Adobe wish form (https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html) to share your feedback with the engineering team."I replied to Amal on the Adobe Support Community:
"Hello Amal. Thank you for your reply. You are not the one who sets policy or fixes software bugs, so I will follow your suggestion, but please pass this comment up the line.
Requests to fix newly introduced bugs are not "wishes". I'm somewhat put off by Adobe calling it that.
This expensive program used to work. The same program - with the same scanner - with only a change of computer and operating system - now has a serious bug.
Windows 10 is not new. I held off to beyond the last possible moment to adopt Windows 10. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is not new.
This bug ought to have been fixed by now, and fixing it should not be treated as if a suggested new feature."I do not want to cancel my subscription but I pay too much to accept this kind of downgraded performance.
Your response is requested.
Thank you,
