Add a function to Adobe Acrobat Pro Create Forms, so that when a character limit is applied to a text box a counter appears to indicate the remaining number of characters available to the user.

Be able to add text without having entire document going through "edit."
In older versions we could just add text to a document where needed. Now you have to go to Tools, Edit which then takes the time to recognizes all the text in a document. I frequently add text in all kinds of documents including charts and forms. When it goes to "recognize" the text on the full page, it distorts it to something unuseable. I end up having to open the document in Photoshop - if it will read it since usually it was scanned in first. If it won't, I have to do a screen shot, cut and…

Form Fields tab scroll bug
I've lost the ability lately to scroll the contents via the mouse scroll wheel of the Fields tab of the Prepare a form part of the program. Scrolling works properly in other tabs and dialog boxes though. I started experiencing it since the latest patch.

Text turns to wingdings
When editing templates previously created, the text field-area moves and includes different parts of the text even if they were in completely different boxes.
I came back to a template and experienced the attached. It prints out that way as well. This is very frustrating because I don't know how to get the original text back.2 votes -
Option to unlink form fields when copying fields or complete page
When copying form fields, Acrobat automatically makes identical copies. If I copy a page and fill in the first page, the fields on the second page are automatically filled out with the same info. The only way to couteract this without having java scripting knowledge is to manually change the name of every field. This is frustrating when you have 100 fields that need to be identical on 20 pages, but filled out with different info. This should be a standard option. Preferrably while copying, acrobat could ask if you want the new copies linked with…

BUG: Continually kicked out of Adobe when doing form design
I've always used Acrobat X Pro with LiveCycle to create my forms. Our forms are extensive so not that easy to create in word and then convert to PDF form so i "free hand" (create New) created all the original forms. Now i'm using Acrobat Pro DC subscription. Create from New does not have the features of LiveCycle so now i'm resorting to having to create the form in word first, then convert it to a PDF form and rebuild the majority of my fields, check boxes, drop down lists, radio buttons because those don't come…

Save form option when emailing
When taking a form and editing it or whatever you want and then you go to email it I shouldnt be forced to save the form before emailing it. Me personally I dont need a copy of the form, I just want to email it like you used to be able to do on the old version before the update.

A Form Frame That is Adjustable
The frame that pops up when editing forms (at the right) is a fixed width. Which means, if you have long field names, you have to scroll horizontally back and forth to review and edit.
Would be great if this frame was made adjustable!

Change Defaults in Prepare Forms
During the process of preparing a fillable form from a template, there are certain style attributes that have to be changed to meet my personal style preferences (e.g. font, check-box/radio-box options, form field attributes, and so on).
Performing these changes on simple forms is not a difficult task but, when dealing with an extensive (e.g. multi-page, multi-field type form) template, this process can be pain-stakeingly tedious and result in lack of continuity.
A feature which would allow the user to change the defaults in the Prepare Form feature so that the fillable form would be…

Forms Submit Email Button - Alternation of default text on body of email
When creating a form using the Submit by email button, and when testing the function, you get the below text as the default body of the email.
“The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself.
The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 for more details.”
It's crucial to be able…

I have an adobe acrobat DC, and I've tried several times to fill in a form on the app. However on the Fill & Sign tool, the Add Text function isn't turning up. How can I fix this?

Route one web form to different approvers
It would be very helpful if you could have one web form that could be routed to different approvers based upon a field response. We have one form that is the same across multiple departments but has different approvers depending on the department. It would be simpler to have one form with multiple approvers than to keep track of a form for each department.

Highlight text
When the highlight text tool is being used, i can't highlight continuous texts in different pages, I think that adobe should make this possible, is more intuitive.
On the other hand, i can simply select the text whitout the highlight tool selected and with the pop up setting i can then highlight the text, but if I erase the highlihted text on one page, the highlighted text in the other page will remain highlighted
