Bug in coverting PDF to WORD on MAC - need your help
This may be a bug. I use InDesign to create an very important annual booklet. I export it to PDF and then break it apart and convert to WORD so that I can send individual sections to contributors so they can make edits for new year's book. In April, I had no problems and I have done this for 8 years now. See attached. We received an update and now, as of July, when I convert the same document, the formatting is all messed up. For me to get a good version to my contributors it would take me…

Ability to Save As PDF from within Acrobat Pro
Acrobat Pro Feature Request
I have a document that is approximately 6x3". I need to output this document to two different PDF deliverable files:
1) at the 6"x3" size, for use on a tiny screen
and
2) on 8.5"x11" size with 3 tiny pages per sheet, for efficient printout on standard paper or viewing in PDF
I save my source content to the 6"x3" size and get a beautiful PDF file. Deliverable 1 looks great.
But, I cannot save my source content to PDF with multiple pages per sheet (from Word).
Also, from Acrobat, I cannot save the output 1…

"Edit any PDF"
Please stop sending out emails that say it is quick and easy to edit a PDF without qualifying what is possible and what the consequences are. I have several clients who now think it is possible to edit PDFs, but the reality is that it is NOT possible to do so professionally.
The end result of clients editing PDFs is that version control is lost from the original files that generated the PDF, artwork needs to be recreated to match the edited PDF and because there appears to be no way of tracking what the client has changed, the clients…

Arial font disappeared from your app
Arial disappeared and changing fonts screws up the formatting of the existing text. Most recently, it added a "!" at the end of every line of text. Trying to delete the "!" changes the margins and layouts to outside the borders. Trying to change the font messes it up even more.
How do I fix this?

Measuring Tool Keeps Disappearing
Why-oh-why does the measuring tool keep disappearing from my toolbar list down the right hand side of my screen.
I want it to stay there with all the other tools that stay there by default.
Why do you keep messing with an interface that should just work when I am signed in?2 votes -
Can't see document titles
This new version is terrible. On the old one I could hover over the tabs at the top and see the complete pdf file name. Now this only works on some random tabs, with most of them only showing the first few characters. I hope you fire whoever is responsible for this new version. IT WORKED FINE BEFORE! And to think I was considering paying for the pro version LOL.

Customer Service in Non-Existent
The customer service is horrible. I spoke to someone with a heavy Indian accent yesterday, which I can only assume tech service is being outsourced there. i called regarding my installation issue and I couldn't understand her most of the time. She told me to deactivate the acrobat x pro on cpu #1 so that I can try and install it on cpu #2. now cpu #1 cannot be re-activated and is about to deactivate in 1 more day, and now I might not have acrobat x pro for my business, which I paid A LOT OF MONEY FOR,…

Better Program...
Even the system for voting is screwed up! We are not all "computer geeks"! Your program sucks! I pay a small fortune for a program/service that is almost completely unusable. If I could find ANY way to replace it or work without it, I would be happy to pay and even bigger fortune for the satisfaction of putting you idiots out of business. As you can tell, I AM NOT HAPPY with this stupid, confusing, undependable, unreliable P.O.S. computer program. I should not have to leave frustrated and angry every time I attempt to use Adobe or try to…

Wrong interpretation of EPS / AI / SVG file when creating a PDF from Word.
See the attached files for more info, the dev team surely has more knowledge on the file structures than I do, and the parser for whatever format is involved.
I have an Illustrator file, created out of an old EPS one. Works fine in Illustrator and everything, exporting to PNG, for example, is no problem.
However if the drawing gets pasted in Word (365, 64-bit 16.0.14228.20288) and one tries to create a PDF out of it using the COM Add-in the drawing isn't interpreted correctly leading to a garbled mess.
Office's internal PDF exporter does a better job, but…

image import
I spent 45 minutes trying add a simple image to a pdf page. At first, I tried a .tif and it imported with a black background. Then I changed it to .png and tried to import, but I got a "corrupted" error or "file type not supported". So I changed it to a jpeg and got the same error. Then I restarted the software and tried again. It imported the jpeg but all the text and borders that should have been set in stone in the PDF were mysteriously chopped up as if it were a word document with bad…

ADFS/SAML automation with federation certificates and identity provisioning
The current authentication integration solutions for Adobe do not provide any automation around the Certificate management or the Account creation process. This is horribly limiting when considering the need of an environment to have a seamless system with limited downtime. Further the lack of auto account creation from the SAML service, is highly inefficient. It would be desired to have the capability to create users from the SAML integration and to have the SAML process setup to manage itself using federation XML URLs as an option.

Page numbering did not work correctly
When exporting a PDF from Word recently the page numbering got messed up. It should have been 1 of 21, 2 of 21, etc. Instead what I got was 1 of 2, 2 of 3, etc.
I just tried it now on what should be the same Word file with no changes (and no changes to my Options settings) and it correctly numbered the pages.
When this happened earlier I did a Save as Adobe PDF in Word and the page number came out correctly. Word had always displaying the numbering correctly.

Apple & Adobe, quit foisting your problems onto your custormers!!!!!
Here's a unique idea. Software idiots at Apple start talking to the software idiots at Adobe! Work out your problems on the company level before forcing your bad programming on your customers in the form of buggy forced upgradates!!!!!! My computer used to work wonderfully, now it's just a ********** brick because of forced updates!!
