1. Fix everything

   I have never used an app that was as bad as this one. First of all, the UI is dogshit. And for some reason it lags when I open a folder and when using a folder. How does it lag? It's not my computer, because on Word and Google Docs, which are superior in literally every way, it doesn't do that. This app can't hand even one folder to be open at one time. Trying to edit a document is literally **** on earth. I think I have had more fun at funerals than using this app. Whoever made this deserves a special place in **** for creating such a terrible program. Even the AI is garbage. The auto-correct is terrible, as well. While I was typing this review, it tried to autocorrect "everything", even though it was spelt correctly. If your AI is dumber than a 7 year old, lets just pack it up and leave. Honestly you couldn't pay me any amount of money to use this again. 0/10.

2. Cannot add new text over existing bounding boxes in new version

   Had to revert to the older version to be able to add new text boxes. I'm trying to add text to PDFs of documents saved during the "Print to PDF" feature. When doing so, the bounding boxes are placed in seemingly arbitrary locations, and any attempt to edit them HORRIBLY messes up the formatting. My job requires I add text near the title of the document, but the default bounding box takes up about 4/5ths of the printable area. This hasn't been an issue for me before, as using the "add text" button on the top ribbon opened the appropriate format tool and allowed me to add new text where I choose.

   After the update, however, if I try to use the new "add text" button, it auto selects the massive bounding box, turning the dotted line blue as I mouse over the area. Adding any text or adjusting anything at all within these bounding boxes destroys any cohesion to my document - all existing text becomes a garbled mess. I was able to escape this phenomena by reverting to the older version, but I fear this issue will not be fixed before I am forced to use the updated edition.

   MY SUGGESTION: Make the new "Add Text" button add a new text box wherever desired, regardless of existing bounding boxes. Disable the selection of bounding boxes when using the add text tool. To edit existing text, select the bounding box manually to enter editing mode.

3. adobe acrobat export removes text

   I spent a long time editing text boxes and typing new text into my document in Adobe Acrobat. I went to export it and many letters went missing, causing all kinds of messed up text. This has taken so much time from me, I will now be looking at other technologies for creating and editing my documents.

4. "Update" causes significant issues Adobe Acrobat DC (Professional) - BUG FIX NEEDED

   I need help about some significant problems that arose after a recent Adobe "Upgrade" - which is really a "Downgrade" in Acrobat DC Professional.

   I've searched other posts on the Community for this issue on Windows and did not find any (there were some similar Mac problems).

   It seems crazy to me that Adobe managed to mess up simple things like scroll bars in a recent "upgrade".

   There are no scroll bars on my version of Adobe Acrobat and I've tried some of the other threads on the community. Adobe will also no longer remember the last view settings.

   I challenge someone from Adobe to provide a simple yet effective fix to this problem - one that should never have arisen.

   Issue #1
   I've checked off "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" yet Adobe does not do this. For example, I need to press F8 each time I open Adobe to show the toolbars. So the check mark - it doesn't work!

   2 No Scroll Bars

   Some of the other posts I've seen online show an option under "Page Display" and "Page Content and Information" with a dialog box to "Always show scroll bars". As you can see in the screen shot below, there is no such option.

   As can be seen below, there are NO scroll bars, even when hovering on the edge of the document.

   I'm curious how to fix this and how Adobe managed to introduce such a significant bug into a recent "upgrade". Where is product testing?

5. Selective editing of pdfs

   I sometimes need to selectively edit a portion of a pdf, but when I click on Edit PDF, the OCR process messes up the format, or changes fonts to the point that it would be virtually impossible to recreate the "messed up" portion of the PDF. I realize that this is very likely due to the fact that the document was not originally created in Acrobat, but was probably scanned or converted from a document created from, say, MS Word, or similar program. But, as a former programmer, I think that it would be possible ... i.e., to selectively choose only a portion of a document to undergo the OCR process. I could be wrong, as I don't technically know how OCR engines work.

   Anyway, adding selective editing of text (or, for that matter, an image) would be a GREAT feature!

7. Croatia

   Croatia has been recognized by World for more than 2 decades and you guys still didn't implement your softwer to recognize all alphabets from multiple countries just like Croatians ć, č, đ, š and ž. OCR failed miserably not recognizing any of these letters. It's time to do smth about it guys...

8. Fix it

   The new version is worse! Quick Printing out of Outlook, is Slower than snail mail. It freezes up, will not print, will not find files with any color headings in them. Does not find files with headers. It's messing up my morning routine. I have to print a minimum of 50 pdf's from emails everyday. And your new version Cannot handle it.

9. Edit PDFs no longer easy

   I can no longer simply click where I need to add text and start typing. The PDF is now covered in boundary boxes that do not accept new text where I need it to be. One click and my entire document is a jumbled mess that looks like the letters are falling off the page. I am now having to click in the bottom corner of the page, start typing, and then drag and move the text box to the correct location on the document. Then, I can complete adding the information needed. I need the box to be higher on the page where I can view the information I am using. I use this daily. This has added a lot of unnecessary and ridiculous shifting and adjusting to my work.

   Please, just put it back to how it worked before! This is so aggravating. This new update has not been helpful.

10. Formating text - and the text box itself - is now IMPOSSIBLE!!

    The newest version of Adobe Acrobat Standard is horrible. I've used Adobe Acrobat in my work forever. Loved it. I upgraded to the newest version (Version 2026.00 1.21431) in August and I still can't work with the text box. And this is the feature I use and need most. I have to save the pdf file, transfer it to my old PC and use my good ole Acrobat 2017, which works beautifully. But the 2017 version will soon no longer be supported. I don't know what I'll do when I can no longer use the old version. Why on earth would Adobe ruin their program so badly?!?!? Why would they destroy a perfectly good program and make their users pull their hair out trying to use it ? This is the worst upgrade in the history of all upgrades. For your next "upgrade" just bring back any of your previous versions. Anything at all is better than this.

12. Idea-fire everyone who worked on the new interface

    I LOVED adobe a few years ago up until recently, where everything is so overcomplicated and impossible to use that I would rather inscribe my documents onto a stone tablet and give it to my boss. Expansion and upgrades just to seem flashy while serving no purpose have ruined this application. Additionally, why is it impossible to save things to my desktop?? It wasn't an issue for 30 years but now there are 5 buttons to save something to my cloud and the desktop option is still MIA in my eyes.

13. Your sign in process is idiotic. I don't have 20 minutes every day to pick cars and road signs. Please fix or I will cancel my subscription.

    Fix the sign in process! Figure out an easier way to verify users. This is a complete waste of my time and the function does not work properly.

14. Glyphs get messed up after running preflight profile

    This is not an Idea, but a very bad bug. When processing the attached PDF using the preflight profile
    Sheet Offset CMYK (GWG 2015), the glpyhs are randomly placed on the pages, rendering the PDF unusable.

15. need options when editing

    When I edit a document, I do not necessarily want to edit existing text. I do not want Acrobat to do an OCR process on the document and create uncountable text boxes (that can easily be messed up), when all I wanted to do was either crop the image or add a text box. Please allow the OCR conversion to be toggled off.
    Also when scanning, if you go into an option like increase resolution, all of the changes (like selection of document size) made on the previous screen are lost and have to be entered again Too time consuming!

16. Filling in text always messes up in strange ways

    I pay for the Adobe CC. I love all the apps but Acrobat, which is now unusable. Not because I can't figure out the interface, but because the program is so buggy as to
    be essentially unusable. Just trying to type text in a text box causes everything to go haywire and suddenly part of the text I've been typing at the bottom of the document appears all over in random places on the other pages of the document. Sometimes as I'm typing it stops working altogether and I can no longer access the text box. It will even crash the entire program and make me lose all my work. It isn't a hardware issue, because if I need more computing power than I'm running just to use acrobat then there is something seriously wrong with acrobat (maybe take the AI out if that is causing all the problems?)

    I don't want AI. I don't care about learning a new interface. I just want the **** thing to work and it doesn't.

17. BUG: Form Fields Disappear, Can't Modify Name or Tooltip

    Fields become "ghost fields"; they still show up in the sidebar on the right and you can still open their properties. However, you cannot select the form field and type text in it. You also can't change the properties, like name and tooltip fields; when you try to, and click away from the field you just changed, they revert back with no notification. This happens every time I open this file in a different application, such as an Accessibility plug-in called CommonLook, and has happened with other files too. Fixing tags in the plug-in causes forms to break in Acrobat, which means I have to go back and fix the form fields in Acrobat, which messes up the tags and tag order again... etc. etc.

    install a horrible resource hog at best, nefarious often app on my computer again and we ARE DONE. I'm paying you money for your service, and on the side, you take money from another company, BASICALLY THET PAID A TECH HITMAN, to try with all you have to make it a legal "hit", but, com'on now, it's still really and truly an IMMORAL action to install something sneaky and hope i dont notice. Is that what im paying for every month??? no choice of what you INJECT INTO MY COMPUTER?? Adobe in this age of consequence culture you should know no one company is too big to fail. if you don't stop I'm taking my business open source again. I only initiated my CONTRACT with you for ease of others in my work group. STOP INJECTING OTHER SOFTWARE IN OUR COMPUTERS ... its only called the SPIRIT OF THE LAW, until a judge makes it the LETTER OF THE LAW...don't find that one out like apple did eh?!

    install a horrible resource hog at best, nefarious often app on my computer again and we ARE DONE. I'm paying you money for your service, and on the side, you take money from another company, BASICALLY THET PAID A TECH HITMAN, to try with all you have to make it a legal "hit", but, com'on now, it's still really and truly an IMMORAL action to install something sneaky and hope i dont notice. Is that what im paying for every month??? no choice of what you INJECT INTO MY COMPUTER?? Adobe in this age of consequence culture you should know… more

19. Restore old version of acrobat user interface?

    The new interface has no easy way to set up continuous scrolling and now way to install buttons for return to previous page or jump forward like the old one. And put the menu back at the top where it belongs and make it editable.
    This user interface is a disaster - how did you ***** up so badly.
    Can I install an old version?

20. Adobe Acrobat Pro: Compare Files - improvement

    1. Unable to remove Summary page from first pages.

    2. Ability to delete both Summary page and Compare Results using Organize Pages.
       I can delete the Compare Results page using Organize Pages, but the Summary page is not visible in Organize pages, even though it still exists with the other pages.

    3. There is no need to share pages like Summary page and Compare Results with coworkers. These extra 2 pages extend the document unnecessarily. I'm not the only one looking for such a solution - I found the following posts in Adobe Community:
