Acrobat text-edit comment functionality improvements needed
Three problems with the new update on Acrobat, all relating to text-edit comments. 1) Underline, strikethrough, replace, and insert are now represented only by arcane symbols in the comment pane. Before, there used to be the actual words "underline", "strikethrough", "replace", or "insert." Such text labels are gone, and they don't even appear with a mouse-over. This is awful. I work a lot with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat comment functionality, and this only makes it less clear for them. Bug Report: Update Watermark - Position > Vertical Distance setting > inconsistent setting / display
Using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Situation:
a watermark was added to a document, vertical distance set to " 2 Milimeters from Top" and document saved. Then re-open document, use "Tools > Pages > Watermark > Update...". The settings in dialog box are displayed as they were saved (e.g. Vertical Distance: 2 Milimeter from Top), however in the preview pane, the existing watermark shows at another position then in dialog (position is displayed at Inches instead of Milimeters). Watermark shifted somewhere to the middle of the page.
Workaround: change Vertical Distance setting to another unit (e.g. Centimeters), then change…2 votes -

Make hand tool select select text only
There is an issue using the option 'Make Hand tool select text & Images' in Preferences, General, Basic Tools. It would be nice to have 'Make Hand tool selected text' option without the selecting image.

Comment display filtering to hide unwanted items could be simpler. Also, a filtering in progress indicator is needed
A file may have many types of comments, many colors, many authors, etc. If one wants to hide only one variety (e.g., the color red), one has to select all but the red dot and then press the Apply button for the filtered selections.
This would be simpler if one could select only the red dot and press a new Exclude button/function. Further, Apply and Exclude could be combined to mimic an electrical (ON | OFF) switch.For very large files with many comments, filtering consumes a lot of time. Minimize Floating Toolbar
The floating toolbar seems purposed for newer users. It would be helpful if the following was done with the floating toolbar.
- Enable the toolbar to be transparent
- Allow the toolbar to be docked on the right panel
- Enable the toolbar to automatically minimize when not in use
- Allow users to remove the default toolsA few features that are quite nice about the toolbar:
- Contextual menus are immediately activated and brought into view once a tool is selected
- Various related tools can be pinned to the floating toolbar

Synchronous scrolling of 2 pdfs
It would be very useful to be able to scroll 2 pdfs simultaneously as in office tools.

Add text opens Edit pane on the left
After recent update Adobe Acrobat Pro opens Edit panel on the left every time you click Add text button. It did not happen previously.

Have a tool that will allow you to hide a page or pages then when prompted become visible in the desired location without having to use java
In order to keep PDF forms as clean and short as possible, it is often helpful to hide pages in a form unless they are needed. The only current way to accomplish this is to write a Javascript that retrieves a template using this script: var a = getTemplate("");a.spawn(); the template however goes to the end of the form instead of the desired location. The template also changes the text box names ruining the functionality of the boxes. This could be fixed by better Javascript instructions or even better an option to accomplish this task in the text box actions.

page navigation
I can't get the number of pages to show up in the navigation pane/tools. In previous versions it was where the hand, arrow, and + and - buttons are. Is there some way that I can get the number of pages in the document without having to open thumbnails and scrolling down to see the total number of pages. Usually there was a box with 1/200 pages etc. Thanks!

Stop messing with interface
Please stop changing the Acrobat interface every year. It is very frustrating and time wasting to find the basic tools that I use to navigate documents. A basic thing like Marquee Zoom and other basic tools should be obvious and accessible, not buried in menus. I've wasted an hour this morning and whilst I can find the tool now, no idea how to add to standard tool bar. Stop doing this!!!!

I hate the new Acrobat Pro DC interface
I have spent way too much time trying to find tools I use all the time. There is nothing intuitive about the new interface. I reverted back to the old version and I'm happily finding and using the tools I need.
