  2. Every change made with quick tools or tool bar freezes the PDF, takes 10 seconds and then blink screen once before allowing other changes.

For example, If I want to highlight a text. I move over it with my cursor and it shows me the highlighted text. The screen freeze for 10 seconds, blinks and only then will it let me scroll down or choose another option or allow another highlight.

  3. 1) In the old comment pane, there was text that accompanied each entry identifying it as an underline, strikethrough, replacement, or insert. Now, the text identifier is gone and we only have an arcane symbol. This is awful. I work with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat and this only makes it more difficult for them to understand the nature of my comments. Please bring back the text labels that identify comment pane entries as underlines, strikethroughs, replacements, or inserts.

    2) You know not everyone uses Acrobat on a collaborative team of a dozen people, right? I use…

  4. Using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Situation:
a watermark was added to a document, vertical distance set to " 2 Milimeters from Top" and document saved. Then re-open document, use "Tools > Pages > Watermark > Update...". The settings in dialog box are displayed as they were saved (e.g. Vertical Distance: 2 Milimeter from Top), however in the preview pane, the existing watermark shows at another position then in dialog (position is displayed at Inches instead of Milimeters). Watermark shifted somewhere to the middle of the page.
Workaround: change Vertical Distance setting to another unit (e.g. Centimeters), then change…

  6. Requesting Acrobat DC x64 be updated to enable PDFMaker functionality across applications for a user ONLY if the full functionality of Acrobat Pro is activated by sign in and license validation; and disabled, hidden or greyed out when the user signs out of Acrobat and is in 'Reader' mode.

When using the Adobe Acrobat DC x64 Unified Installer the PDFMaker add-ins for Office products (Word, Outlook, etc) are automatically enabled, however, users that are in 'Reader' mode cannot use these features (Save as Adobe PDF, context menus to convert or append Outlook mailboxes to PDF, etc) and receive an error…

  7. Add ability to hide all unnecessary buttons from the toolbar. If the window is reduced to the size of a DinA4 page almost the whole toolbar is used up by the start and all tools tab and the share and login button. This is a huge disruption to the workflow. I earlier versions this was not an issue with options like creating custom toolbars

  8. In Acrobat 9, it was very easy to mark a comment as checked. You simply right-clicked on it and chose "Mark with Checkmark." Alternatively, there were also two different places in the Handy Commenting Toolbar to mark the comment as checked.

Sadly, in Acrobat X and going forward, the right-click > Mark as Checked feature was removed, as was the handy Commenting toolbar. So now the only way to mark something as checked is in the giant comment list (which is now by default vertical, as opposed to horizontal.

Instead, Acrobat has moved the only option for commenting over to…

  9. Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

  10. Three problems with the new update on Acrobat, all relating to text-edit comments. 1) Underline, strikethrough, replace, and insert are now represented only by arcane symbols in the comment pane. Before, there used to be the actual words "underline", "strikethrough", "replace", or "insert." Such text labels are gone, and they don't even appear with a mouse-over. This is awful. I work a lot with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat comment functionality, and this only makes it less clear for them. Bring back the text labels for the comment pane entries. 2) You know not everyone uses Acrobat…

  11. Would like for Adobe to have command-line tools (*.exe) for use in batch scripting or any languages for merging multiple documents into ONE PDF file so the task can be scheduled to run nightly... This would be an awesome tool opposing being forced to use the GUI (a manual process).

  12. In Adobe Acrobat DC Comments, the Lock icon adds unnecessary space to the already inefficient spacing (even without the lock, for some reason a lot of extra spacing was added). Is there a way to compress the spacing and/or remove the lock icon, which was never shown in previous versions of Acrobat? If not, the result of our company switching to acrobat DC is a reduction in productivity.

  13. There is an issue using the option 'Make Hand tool select text & Images' in Preferences, General, Basic Tools. It would be nice to have 'Make Hand tool selected text' option without the selecting image.

  14. when pressing the center button on the mouse currently it allows 4 way scrolling option. It would be better for my use if it could be mapped to the hand tool instead of always having to switch back to the hand tool(for left click)

    Hello John,
Thanks for reporting your concern to us. I had escalated the issue to then higher management. We have kept it in our radar and will implement it in the near future.

    Thanks

  15. In order to keep PDF forms as clean and short as possible, it is often helpful to hide pages in a form unless they are needed. The only current way to accomplish this is to write a Javascript that retrieves a template using this script: var a = getTemplate("");a.spawn(); the template however goes to the end of the form instead of the desired location. The template also changes the text box names ruining the functionality of the boxes. This could be fixed by better Javascript instructions or even better an option to accomplish this task in the text box actions.

  16. Hi to all

A translating tool is definitely a must. At present I have to export to word, translate, copy, paste and edit. The same goes for high versions of correction tools.

  20. The floating toolbar seems purposed for newer users. It would be helpful if the following was done with the floating toolbar.
    - Enable the toolbar to be transparent
    - Allow the toolbar to be docked on the right panel
    - Enable the toolbar to automatically minimize when not in use
    - Allow users to remove the default tools

A few features that are quite nice about the toolbar:
    - Contextual menus are immediately activated and brought into view once a tool is selected
    - Various related tools can be pinned to the floating toolbar
    - The toolbar can be…
