1. Searching for a Tool Doesn't Teach You Where to Find It Next Time...

   I have been searching for the "Take Snapshot" tool which used to be on I believe the Edit menubar dropdown. Now, it's no longer there and I can't find it listed among the various icons. I use the search bar and it pops up.

   Not three seconds later, I want to use it again.... it's completely gone. There's no indication what menu it is on or any method to locate it for the future.

   What is so offensive about this new UX is not that you moved everything... that sucks, but it we would learn eventually the new layout. What is so offensive is that tools have disappeared entirely in some cases and there is no good way to learn where everything went. That puts us in a no-win situation where those who are wont to complain will be here every time we can't find tools because there's literally no other option.

2. Keep Tool Selected - we need it back please

   There used to be a great feature where you could click a box to "keep tool selected" so you keep using the same tool, over and over again without clicking on the Icon again and again and again. It was especially useful when reviewing a large document where you wanted to highlight several passages or for adding text, etc.

3. Double popups when extracting pages

   Open a multi-page document. Go to the "Organize pages" tool. Right click a page thumbnail in the righthand view. In the popup menu, click "Extract Pages". A dialog window pops up where you can select the page to extract, whether to delete the extracted page, and whether to extract each page as a separate document. After a moment, a second popup appears on the tool pane, with a duplication of the latter two options.

   The Acrobat team really, really likes popups, eh?

4. Cannot save to this filename

   We started seeing this Save error on 12/30/24 with no change on our end other than keeping Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader up to date with current version (2024.005.20320 64-bit). PCs OS is both Windows 10 and 11 pro. Our network share is DFS but testing done on non-DFS storage doesn't exhibit this issue nor does local storage.
   Users edit a file on their network share and click the Save diskette icon expecting for the changes to save. Instead, they get the following dialog boxes and the following error:

   Confirm Save As: Name.pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it? (Yes/No)
   Adobe Acrobat: The document could not be saved. Cannot save to the filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

   Followed by the Save As screen with a random filename ending in .tmp.
   I understand that turning off Enhanced Security in Acrobat is the fix for this but that's not going to happen. I also understand this error has been reported as far back as 2013 and another issue with DFS and opening multiple PDFs has also been reported.

   I'm here today to inform Adobe and the community that this Save/Save As bug is back as of the last Adobe update. Testing we've done shows this is not a permissions issue. The error is reproducible at will. The number of folders deep the file is located isn't related.

5. Killing Acrobat with "updates"

   Why do you insist on killing the ease with which users can access options in Acrobat with your new feature "updates"

   I used to be able to hit the mail icon in the top and attach to a mail file in an instant, now you've upgraded this "feature" by making it an expanding sidebar and burying the email option in drop-downs.

   Stop thinking you are improving Adobe products when clearly you are not.

   This is pathetic.

   Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update (19.021.20049) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. 6. alt text issue

   We have had issues with alt text being duplicated into the actual text field when using the right click to access alt text or using the order panel to access alt text. The only way it is not duplicated is if alt text is entered via the tags panel properties method.

8. Automatically open page thumbnails view when inserting pages

   I have to drag and drop alot of pages between pdfs. I keep forgetting to open the page thumbnails view in the new pdf before dragging selected pages to the new pdf. I have to stop go back, open pages thumbnail and then redrag the pages, which is unnecessary. If I hover over the page thumbnails icon in the new pdf with selected pages, it should just open in my opinion.

9. Highlighting Issue

   I am not able to remove a highlighted text in the new version.Please solve my issue.I tried multiple times using the standard procedure of

   "single-click on the area of highlighted text you wish to remove.
   A small toolbox will appear with two options, allowing you to change the color of your highlight or delete the highlight altogether.
   To remove your highlight, click the trash can icon."

   I tried this multiple times-but not working.

10. BUG - can't edit fields in a form

    I open a pdf and go to tools > prepare form> open then select a form.

    As soon as I click on 'add a field' or an existing field, a stopwatch icon appears and Adobe closes. So I can't edit a form which makes a fillable pdf form impossible. Given the fee I pay every month I am NOT happy.

    Yes I have the most current version, Yes I tried the 'repair Adobe' option.

12. What can be done if Yahoo Emails Disappeared from Inbox?

    Yahoo emails can vanish because of accidental deletion, automated filtering (e.g., spam or trash), account hacking, sync errors, or server problems. Look in the Trash, Spam, and All Mail folders first. Check filters or forwarding settings in Yahoo Mail Settings, and make sure no unauthorized access took place.

13. condense all text edit/comment options on toolbar into one by default

    There are at least 3 icons on various menus and toolbars for adding text to a pdf. For the love of users, PLEASE combine them (by default) into ONE. In particular, I'm referring to (1) add a comment (which includes Insert text and Add text comment), (2) Fill in form fields, and (3) add text. Those are circled in the attached screenshot. Some users might want to split those out into multiple buttons, so they can access them more quickly. But for the normal user, the default should have all those options in a menu or toolbar under one button named something like "add text". I just discovered that the problem I was having pasting from Notepad into a text box (I was creating a new text box with "Fill in form fields") is not a problem if instead I use the Add text comment. Ok, so on reflection, I'm not entering "form fields". But for 10 years I haven't been filling form fields with that button, I've been creating text comments. But it's always worked for me in the past! WTF are there so many options that differ in casually undecipherable ways, scattered across the interface?!

14. Improve user information on Acrobat Pro DC Tools home page

    Only due to my extremely helpful customer service rep, Gurjeet Singh, do I now understand that all the tools on my Acrobat Pro tools page are included in my current subscription - even those that say "Add" rather than "Open." Before I bought the subscription - and was using/purchasing tools on a onesy-twosy basis, "Add" indicated "not purchased," it is very confusing (and misleading) to use the same word on the subscription interface page. My suggestion involves two-three minor changes. 1. At the top of the subscription tools user interface, add a short title line that clearly indicates that the subscription includes ALL these tools. 2. in the box below each tool, eliminate Add and use a different verb, e.g., Enable, Start, Activate, etc. 3. To the right of the tools with icons, over the list of tools in-use, add a title that reflects the new verb: eg, Enabled, Activated, etc.

    I suspect that I am far from alone in my misunderstanding of what's included vs. that "adding" other tools might require me to upgrade to a higher level of Acrobat Pro DC. Thanks.

    After spending three hours on with Adobe Support, we finally found a work-around that will allow it, but trying to explain this process to people who aren't good with computers is a total nonstarter.

19. BUG: Duplication of character when trying to add accented letters

    Rewriting this to fit the desired bug reporting format:

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    1. In a pdf choose 'Add text'
    2. Press and hold a character that has accented versions, eg. 'a'
    3. Choose the desired accented character

    Expected result
    The single accented character desired

    Observed result
    It inserts both the unaccented and accented characters simultaneously.

    Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.):
    Acrobat build version: Build: 23.6.20380.0
    OS: Mac Sonoma

    I assume this is a bug as no other programme works like that. In fact typing this now in this form and adding the accented character worked perfectly.

20. floating comment toolbar

    Hello,
    Concerning the floating black tool bar that shows up when text is selected, it currently has only 5 functions (Highlight, Underline, Strike through, Copy & Edit text-images).
    My requests:
    1. Kindly make it customizable, so that users can add whatever buttons they like.
    2. Especially, make it such that users can add anything from 3-5 highlighters of different colors, so that I will not have to go through the tedious task of changing the color of the highlighter each time I want it changed.
    3. Kindly allow the "Add note to text" icon there either by default or as part of the customizable item.

    I just figured out that a user can disable/enable it by checking or unchecking the feature from Edit>Preferences>General>Show quick actions of text selection. That is very nice to know!
