A dumb error message while adding files to OCR
First, in order to start the OCR process in Acrobat DC (Windows), you must have a PDF file open. If you want to OCR multiple files, whether they're open or must be added from a folder, you must choose the Add Files option at the top of the window. That's when you get the "menu" options "Add files", "Add folders" and "Add open folders," which is all fine. But the initial file has already been selected and has populated the window, so if you "Add Open Files", for instance, you always get the annoying pop-up error that the first file…

Remember which Monitor
In a multi-monitor setup, Reader remembers which monitor to open on for a specific document, but all new documents keep opening on a non-primary monitor. Reader needs to provide a preference for which monitor to open all documents on by default

Make Comments Toolbar Open Automatically/By Default for all pdf files
In 2020, Adobe claimed to have provided a fix. But did only half of it. Only for files with existing comments was the Comments toolbar automatically opened.
But I mark students' scripts all day long. And for every one I have to open the comments toolbar.
Why cannot I choose to have the comments toolbar automatically opened (or not, or if there are existing comments)?

[Bug Report] Clicking an option from a dropdown form field results in the wrong one being selected
For a long time now I have noticed a peculiar bug that only sometimes rears its head. By now I'm pretty sure it is a bug and not something I'm doing wrong, as I've had this same issue appear in multiple AcroForms that I have made, all with different content.
What happens is illustrated well with the screen recording I made, see the attached file.
How to reproduce:
• This is with an AcroForm drop-down field that has about 200 entries.
• This drop-down field has the options "Allow user to enter custom text" and "Commit selected value immediately" selected.…56 votes -

Every single pdf document I print ends up giving me a message at the printer (Canon) to check the page size because it's custom.
Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

Duplex, collate, odd-numbers of pages, and not-useful printed results
Synopsis:
A) Please fix duplexing such that page one of a document always begins on the front of a sheet of paper. This means a the back page of an odd-numbered document should be blank.B) Please let the Collate button both be visible regardless of the number of copies and let it have a default and/or remembered setting. The combination of it being initially invisible and the defaulting to the less-desirable setting results in wasted printed material.
Detail:
This is a consistent problem that sprung into existence about a year ago, near as I can tell on both…8 votes -

Please add a function to set the page size when creating a PDF form. By default, when you create a form, a Letter-sized page opens, and I need A4. Scaling during printing does not suit me, since the form fields are located in certain coordinates and slide during printing. It is strange that such a function was not done initially.

Turning Off Tab view breaks puggin Tools
Tabbed View by default isn't suitable as documents are often compared visually & make better use of multiple screen space. However Turning Off Tabbed view now breaks (hides) 3rd Party Plugin tools (namely Enfocus Pitstop Pro).
Because a restart is required to re-enable Tabbed viewing, that causes loss of changes, or having to save/discard multiple changes potentially on multiple documents.
& Because I'm here.... NOT A SINGLE Feature added to Acrobat DC has been an improvement.8 votes -
FFS remember my scrolling preferences
Whoever had the dumb idea to default to single page view should be fired immediately, then the person who though that it should default back after another selection is made should be fired as well.

Set Transaction Limits for Groups
There are many institutions that want to use AdobeSign, but are wondering how to track the number of transactions purchased by each department. If we were able to set a transaction limit within the group this would be very beneficial. The same idea is already in place for Adobe Stock with the credits.

Persist display configuration
When I view a document in Acrobat Reader, I always want a standard default, which is single page view, fill to height, disable scrolling. The trouble is, the application never remembers this; every time I open a document I have to repeat the same sequence of control interactions to set it up the way I want. This is an unproductive waste of my time which could be mitigated by either automatically remembering my display configuration or giving me a control by which I can manually tell the application to remember my configuration as a default.

Downloading files from Adobe Document Cloud fails
I'm trying to download files from the Adobe Document Cloud > Adobe Scan folder to my desktop Mac. I click "Select All" at the top of the list, then click Download. A dialog box opens, asking me where I want to save the file, which is named "binder.zip" by default. I click Download, and an alert immediately appears saying "Download Failure." If I hover the pointer over the message, a red balloon appears with the unhelpful message "An error occurred while downloading this file."

Ditch the 2023 User Interface in Acrobat
There are so many shortcomings and problems with the new 2023 GUI interface. Here are just a few:
Swapping left and right-hand panels for no reason. This does not improve anything for users. It just forces users to change everything about how they work in Acrobat every workday.
Functions are indicated by random icons. In the 90s, we learned that icons in software and websites don't work across different populations. Users have a difficult time figuring out what the heck they mean. Give text labels.
The left panel is permanently positioned on the screen and obscures part of the document…

Need Enhancement for User Configuration of AdobeSign Field Defaults
The default for fields is set to Auto. Each field must have the Appearance edited manually for a different font size. Users need to be able to set defaults for font sizes, i.e. 10pt, for all documents without creating templates.

Please make it easier to adjust own default settings
Please make it easier to disable settings permanently. Incuding AI pop ups.
Also the tools menu automatically pops up on the left of the screen. And now bookmarks show up on the right. Both obscuring the document.
I have to manually close them both to view my document. Fine if you are only viewing one document, but really annoying when viewing several. I can't find the options to get rid of them completely. Please make these settings easy to find and use.1 vote
