  1. In Acrobat Pro, you could send a document out for shared review.

This shared review was viewable and comment-able by everyone in your shared review.

The reviewers could do things like highlight text, underline, strikethrough, and the like.

Reviewers can still do this Acrobat Pro DC, but with one exception:

    The "Add-Attachment" feature.

This feature has been removed from the browser-based review used in Acrobat Pro DC.

After spending three hours on with Adobe Support, we finally found a work-around that will allow it, but trying to explain this process to people who aren't good with computers is a total…

  2. My default is page width. From there I click on single page view but nothing happens. If I click on the 2 page side by side view and then the single page view if changes to single page view but NOT directly from the page width view.

  3. I have been working with Acrobat for as long as it has existed, and this version is a nightmare. I have spent hours trying to sign a contract while my customer waits for a response. The sign icon at the top is greyed out. I am unable to edit, add text fields, add signature image. I may have to resort to printing the entire contract and rescanning it as I also cannot insert a page into this locked document. We do not need more features, we just need the ones we have to work.

  4. You can manually or professionally convert Maildir to MBOX. To do the manual conversion, use an email client such as Thunderbird. First, install ImportExportTools NG add-on. After that, place the Maildir files in the Thunderbird profile and use the add-on to export the files as MBOX format files.

The procedure is technical, long, and not suitable for mass data. It involves Thunderbird installation, poses a risk of data corruption, and does not directly support folder structure preservation or metadata correctness.

Another option is to use the DRS Softech Maildir Converter for Mac is a robust and universal tool. The software…

  6. I have recently been using the split full-screen feature on my MacBook Air 2020 (Ventura 13.4.1), where I am writing my dissertation on one half of the screen and looking at my advisor's comments on a previous draft on the other (see screenshot). I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Occasionally (often after the computer falls asleep due to inactivity), Acrobat just disappears, and clicking on the icon in the doc results in no action. If I try to "show all windows" for Acrobat, nothing appears either.

Being able to split screen like this is super useful, and I wanted to…

  7. Man. This sucks. Somehow I got 5 PDFs open in one Acrobat window. They are all lined up as tabs. That's cool.
Now I want to "SAVE AS" ... there's no file menu available anywhere. All I can see is "CONVERT, SIGN, MORE" at the top bar.

Hitting the HOME icon takes me to an indecipherable mish-mash of options to add comments, open recent documents (which duh are already open) or look at "Starred" files. (huh?) Oh, and the side menu now has a bunch of "cloud storage" options (which are useless... I just want to save the open file…

  9. After the last Windows-Update, several users suddenly could not save edited PDF forms by simply clicking the save icon as before.

Acrobat changed the name of the document and gave this message,"The document could not be saved. The document cannot be saved to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

I have found a few workarounds online:

    1. Users can close the File Explorer window before attempting to save the document. This doesn't work all the time and can therefore be frustrating.

    2. Users can click on the original document in the save dialog…

  11. Adobe required duplicating a source of files after my system board was replaced. The service did not recognize the previous instance of the One Drive personal documents storage source and so duplicated it again. However, the latter was a working link while the former instance failed to work. Ability to remove these items would be useful. Thank you.

  12. It would be great to be able to sign a document after it has been received back from a client for signature. I am a photographer and most of my contracts are 2 way signatures. As of now I have to send it to myself to an unrelated business email in order for me to sign the document after a client to be able to provide them with a copy signed by both the client and myself. I find it to be labor intensive not be able to sign the document in Adobe Sign after they have signed it.

    I…

  13. I do a lot of re-ordering and re-arranging of PDF documents. In the "Old Acrobat" interface, the green "Organize Pages" button was in a narrow column of easily-accessible buttons on the right side of the screen. I could snap into the Organize Pages view, rearrange my pages, and snap back into editing. In the "New Acrobat" interface, the only way to access this feature is clicking the "All tools" button, which eats up a good chunk of screen space, and click "Organize Pages."

Either give us an icon-only view of the "All tools" bar, as the old Acrobat interface, or…

  14. We started seeing this Save error on 12/30/24 with no change on our end other than keeping Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader up to date with current version (2024.005.20320 64-bit). PCs OS is both Windows 10 and 11 pro. Our network share is DFS but testing done on non-DFS storage doesn't exhibit this issue nor does local storage.
Users edit a file on their network share and click the Save diskette icon expecting for the changes to save. Instead, they get the following dialog boxes and the following error:

Confirm Save As: Name.pdf already exists. Do you want to replace…

  18. Trying to find how to prepare a form using Add signature (adding fields before sending) and then sending for signature (in that order), but when I pull up Prepare form, there is only an icon for adding digital signature, but not the icon for Add digital signature tool.

  20. The now "old" Acrobat used to show a big lock icon on a locked PDF, above the page display column. VERY useful. Now with the new and "improved" interface, that icon is gone. How about bringing that back, JUST so one can tell at a glance the security status of a PDF. Thanks.
