  1. I am trying to add footers to a form which in Acrobat 11 was very efficient. Since being forced into using DC this capability has become ridiculously slow (15 - 20 secs to add 2 characters). I am using a 64bit 8gb RAM laptop. Paying lots, getting little.

  2. I want to recognize Devanagari Text by using Acrobat pro DC. Currently, I heard that it is impossible. Would you enhance your Acrobat pro DC to recognize Devanagari Text?

  3. White text on a default white background in PDF reflow mode is not visible and the option to change color choices in accessibility preferences does not yield consistent results for viewing all text within a PDF in reflow.

  4. Adobe Customer Care recommended I post the request here. It might not be a problem with Acrobat per se, but a lot of people seem to have the same problem. Standard Python libraries for automating the filling of fields work fine--when the pdf is opened with some other viewers. But in Acrobat the field content does not display until the field is clicked. Marked checkboxes are also not displaying. The issue is explained partly at the links below, but solutions do not seem to be reliable:

  7. I pay for the Adobe CC. I love all the apps but Acrobat, which is now unusable. Not because I can't figure out the interface, but because the program is so buggy as to
be essentially unusable. Just trying to type text in a text box causes everything to go haywire and suddenly part of the text I've been typing at the bottom of the document appears all over in random places on the other pages of the document. Sometimes as I'm typing it stops working altogether and I can no longer access the text box. It will even crash…

  8. Please add a function to set the page size when creating a PDF form. By default, when you create a form, a Letter-sized page opens, and I need A4. Scaling during printing does not suit me, since the form fields are located in certain coordinates and slide during printing. It is strange that such a function was not done initially.

  9. Acrobat DC 2019.012.20035
    Windows 10 1903 (18362.175)

Acrobat DC crashes every time I simply select text in a PDF document opened in Protected Mode and choose Copy.

If I choose to enable editing, it doesn't crash.

  10. I sometimes receive files that have printed text that appears correctly but for which the underlying OCRing (or text derived from Word or another word processor) has become corrupt or is otherwise garbled and bears no relation to the visible printed text. An example is attached. It would be very helpful if there were a feature that allowed you to remove all existing OCRed text (or the underlying hidden text produced from the word processor) and run Acrobat's OCRing again from scratch.

It's possible to print an image only PDF and then OCR this, but that is cumbersome, loses…

  11. Hello - It seems like the sign and fill functionality requires an email address. A few people I need to send a document to do not have an email address and would like to know if there's an option to text them the document to sign.

    Thanks.

  12. Pdfs created from Microsoft Word using Acrobat PDFMaker sometimes omit entire paragraphs of text. This has been happening sporadically and unpredictably since the Sept 14 update. Pdf output has become unreliable. In all but one instance among the cases detected, the paragraph that disappears is adjacent to a graphic object--either a line or an image. The missing text is not being covered up by any other object; the text is actually not present in the pdf. A few very inconvenient workarounds are available if the omission is detected: (1) Re-create the affected page by itself instead of outputting the…

  13. I am currently in graduate school. I use adobe acrobat pro DC all the time to convert my classes powerpoints into pdfs. Once they are formatted as a pdf, I can take notes on them, and it sticks.
I just realized I have been doing it wrong. I have been using the Add Text option, an option within the fill & sign tool. While this has been most effective in taking notes on powerpoints and helping me study, there have been many issues with it.
The fill & sign tool is not made for quick note taking and text

    1. Add a legend text box on a static page (the red boxes you find in the comment section)
    2. Try to resize the text box
    3. You'll find that the icons are not accurate : they change very quickly from "resize cursor" to "move cursor" to the little arrow, and it is very difficult to resize or even move the box.

    Environment : Mac OS 10.11.6 Acrobat 11.0.22

  15. Make "use current properties as new defaults" in Prepare Form permanent for all future files, not just the current file.

Closing this for now until we have further info on the request.
    Can revisit later

  17. I have some fields which are numbers like Fed Tax ID. And the PDF which im adding underneath has single digit boxes. Which i can accomplish in 2 ways:
    1. Add 9 boxes correctly spaced so they populate the necessary single digit boxes.
    2. Add 1 text box which overlaps the corresponding boxes and looks ugly.

Ideally, i should be able to add spacing in between each number so it correctly matches the boxes in the pdf underneath

  18. When using the Find Text Tool, it doesn't recognize symbols anymore (e.g. : ; #), and for entertainers, actors, editors, etc, reading a script on PDF, this is a huge issue because that symbol is the only differentiating factor in looking through 100s of pages of dialogue (e.g. "Bill was running to the scene" vs "Bill: Hi, everyone!"). Now people have to spend hours going through a script instead of minutes.

  19. This is challenging, but I'm sure you could manage:
Many texts that I need to OCR have been scanned from books, so the text is curved. Right now, Acrobat only recognises text in straight lines, so it jumps lines when highlighting and copying text.Would be great if Acrobat Pro could judge, e.g. by analyzing the borders of text boxes, that lines of text are not perfectly straight.
