  1. At the moment, I'm trying to mark an X in a box on a form. But, the letter keeps being hidden behind the box. I am trying to bring the letter to the front. Or send the images to the back. But, it's not working. And, in Googling for a solution, I have found complaints on this very topic dating back to at least 2010 (and continuing year after year after year...!) To be clear, if I play around with this particular form, I can find a work around. And I'm guessing I'll find a work around next…

  2. Make it possible to set a default color in the menu:
    Preferences > Content Editing

in addition to the already supported settings for font and its size.

  3. This is an enhancement request for the Phone Field in Adobe Sign.

It would be very useful for the Phone field to have phone format options to pick from that would autofill the symbols into the field. This would take the responsibility off the signer.

It is also kind of ridiculous that just to have a basic version of this, which still requires the signer to put in the symbols manually, I have to learn how to code it through Regular Expressions. Many people don't have time to learn those just to have a well-formatted phone…

  4. Add a feature to the Add Text function in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC so that a user can choose Opaque for a text box and avoid a Background image being visible through the text box. Also, the user should be able to choose a solid color to appear behind the text in the text box. This feature is so basic that it should have been in the product from the start. Photoshop Elements has had it for a long time!

  5. It's the second time Adobe Acrobat Pro has literally destroyed all my text after I finished editing my file. I have to do it again now. If it happens again, I will cancel the subscription and find a good program, not this junk.

  6. I've tried running OCR scans for English text multiple times on my document but it never works despite my document's text being very clear. I'm running version 2023.006.20320. It is quite disappointing that Acrobat can't even recognise the text when it's so clear. It's not like this scan was a poor quality scan even!

  9. Most of my customers need to code invoices, the open text option doesn't allow for the enter key to add additional lines. It would be awesome for them to either fill in a preset 'stamp' or add comments with more functionality

Allow signer to add custom text option to the Request E-signatures feature

  10. Adobe Customer Care recommended I post the request here. It might not be a problem with Acrobat per se, but a lot of people seem to have the same problem. Standard Python libraries for automating the filling of fields work fine--when the pdf is opened with some other viewers. But in Acrobat the field content does not display until the field is clicked. Marked checkboxes are also not displaying. The issue is explained partly at the links below, but solutions do not seem to be reliable:

  11. Recreate Bug:
    -Select Comment tools
-Select Drawing tools -> Text callout -> create a callout box
-Type any text and then click away. The comment pane will show the corresponding text for the callout box
-Select the comment in the Comment pane, edit the text and then click Post.

The text within the callout box will not update properly to the new edit.
Only ways to fix it is to drag the callout box itself and move it a little bit and the text within the callout box will update, or have the user edit the text within the callout…

  12. I pay for the Adobe CC. I love all the apps but Acrobat, which is now unusable. Not because I can't figure out the interface, but because the program is so buggy as to
be essentially unusable. Just trying to type text in a text box causes everything to go haywire and suddenly part of the text I've been typing at the bottom of the document appears all over in random places on the other pages of the document. Sometimes as I'm typing it stops working altogether and I can no longer access the text box. It will even crash…

  13. I'm writing work practice documents, and this means some pages really need to be edited in Adobe, but some are basically paragraphs of text. When importing from Word every section with a different indent or different bullet points automatically goes into a separate text box, which means every time you need to add text in box A, you have to drag text boxes B, C, and D to get them out of the way. It also looks incredibly messy. Sometimes this even seems to happen automatically when I save the document if I manually copied sections with different indents…

  14. Acrobat DC 2019.012.20035
    Windows 10 1903 (18362.175)

Acrobat DC crashes every time I simply select text in a PDF document opened in Protected Mode and choose Copy.

If I choose to enable editing, it doesn't crash.

  15. Pdfs created from Microsoft Word using Acrobat PDFMaker sometimes omit entire paragraphs of text. This has been happening sporadically and unpredictably since the Sept 14 update. Pdf output has become unreliable. In all but one instance among the cases detected, the paragraph that disappears is adjacent to a graphic object--either a line or an image. The missing text is not being covered up by any other object; the text is actually not present in the pdf. A few very inconvenient workarounds are available if the omission is detected: (1) Re-create the affected page by itself instead of outputting the…

  16. This is challenging, but I'm sure you could manage:
Many texts that I need to OCR have been scanned from books, so the text is curved. Right now, Acrobat only recognises text in straight lines, so it jumps lines when highlighting and copying text.Would be great if Acrobat Pro could judge, e.g. by analyzing the borders of text boxes, that lines of text are not perfectly straight.

  17. Highlighting with white/black color hides the text - black highlights hide black text in regular viewing, while white highlights hide the text when document colors are replaced with white text on black background.

Instead, it might be useful for black highlights to have the text displayed as white text over the highlight, while white highlights have a black border around the text in regular viewing, and vice versa for when document colors are inverted (ie, white text showing over black and white highlights with a white border around the highlight).

This would allow for visual separation of black/white highlights from…

  19. I am trying to add footers to a form which in Acrobat 11 was very efficient. Since being forced into using DC this capability has become ridiculously slow (15 - 20 secs to add 2 characters). I am using a 64bit 8gb RAM laptop. Paying lots, getting little.

    1. Add a legend text box on a static page (the red boxes you find in the comment section)
    2. Try to resize the text box
    3. You'll find that the icons are not accurate : they change very quickly from "resize cursor" to "move cursor" to the little arrow, and it is very difficult to resize or even move the box.

    Environment : Mac OS 10.11.6 Acrobat 11.0.22
