  1. I want to report a bug in the read-out loud feature of Acrobat Pro DC. I’m using a Mac (Mojave), and I have already set its accessibilty options to my favorite system voice and speaking rate. I thought I’d have a PDF doc read out aloud while I work on some graphics. The default voice was meh-next-to-terrible, so I looked under preferences for an option to change voice. I found it and was happy to find a long list of available voices, including the ones I already have installed on my computer. So I selected my favorite voice and tried…

    Hi,
Thank you for connecting with us. I understand your concern here. Currently we have to select the voice from Preferences and then check the voice on pdf.
Also we have kept this request in our radar. We currently do not have any plan to implement it but you may see it in future releases.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  2. I keep getting an error message "Adobe Acrobat ! Out Of Memory" on brand new Dell XPS 8930.

  3. Acrobat 11 Standard version 11.0.20 with latest updates, Windows 2008 R2 OS.
Plugin built with Acrobat 11 SDK, c++ source code inspected by Adobe experts here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9672015#9672015
Rendering PDF including CID: after several correct prints, the print gets garbled. Restart Acrobat or logoff user does NOT fix garbling. Only VM reboot fixes garbled rendering.

    Hi

We cannot help you further as Acrobat 11 is end of life and there has been no confirmation from your side on if the issue exists with Acrobat DC or not.
We are closing this case from our end. Feel free to reopen a new case if you are still facing this issue with Acrobat DC

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  4. Would like to pre-set my desired page Layout and Magnification (Pages panel and page, single page, fit width) so that all print to PDF pages are stored with those default settings. As is I have to print and modify every single output file accordingly. Thanks!

  5. Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2023.003.20215 on Windows 11 version 22621.1848 is resetting the registry key "aDefaultSelect" value to "Select" on each launch of Acrobat Pro. This prevents users from setting the Hand tool as the default tool. Requested action is to remove this behavior.

  6. Quicktools – Allow FULL customization.
The top 6 tools are not default. They are mandatory. I cannot remove them from my quicktools bar. This is extremely frustrating. Of those six, I've only ever used two (select text & highlight).
Please allow full customization of the "quick toolbar" !

  7. We have hundreds of on-going shared reviews in Tracker. It is very difficult to locate files. The default sorting method appears to be based on recently opened files. If there's a file that hasn't been looked at for months (typical), searching through the "Joined" files is more than tedious. Sorting by file name (as well as other options) would be great. Alternatively, a search function would work as well.

And while you're at it--any way to speed up Tracker on start up? With this many files, it takes a heck of a long time to load.

  8. Pontificating that there must be a "newbie user" segment who needs extra assistance in using Acrobat, I ask that you please remember you have a multitude of Perennial Power Users who don't need the constant hand holding, introductions, or reminders in pop ups. My efficiency is being damaged by the interruptions. While presenting in meetings, these pops ups are unprofessional and actually drove me to choose to default to opening PDFs in Microsoft Word. Yes. The unintended consequence of YOUR programming choice has driven me to use the big bad competitor's application. Please provide an option to opt out of…

  9. It is practically impossible to publish a hyperlink in a PDF document with the current security paradigm. Converting a word to PDF results in links getting blocked in a window called Security Block, with the message "Adobe Acrobat does not allow connection to: [website domain]." You limit the reach of and potential of PDF documents by having such an unnecessarily aggressive security posture.

  10. Mac OS X 10.13.6
Acrobat Pro DC – Version 2021.001.20138

Inserting a text watermark using the Helvetica Neue font enters a series of boxes instead of the text. All weights and slopes affected except, bizarrely, the ‘Thin’ weight.

Inserting text using the Helvetica Font produces the error message “The font ‘Helvetica,Xxxx’ contains an invalid encoding. Some characters may not display correctly”. This error message appears on saving the PDF and every time it is opened in Acrobat Reader DC.

Both fonts are system fonts and work satisfactorily in all applications (e.g. InDesign, Word) including Acrobat Pro DC, but not as…

  13. I ran into an issue where shortly after opening Adobe Acrobat the program would close with no indication of what was causing it to close. When trying to run Acrobat as Administrator I was shown a "adobelicensingwf_acro.exe" error (See Attached image).

After trying to open the program a few more times I noticed that Acrobat would close about the same time as the profile picture would change from the default account to my account picture (See Attached image). It seemed to be closing the program after a handshake with the adobe web service. That reminded me to check…

  14. Can we use Windows group policy to opt-out on data collection for users for privacy reasons? By default it's set to opt-in for a user before they log on but we would like to opt-out without the users' intervention.

  15. As designers, we love to push the envelope. For interactive PDFs, can we have a form field option that is circular. The text is centered within the circle, can handle Auto text sizing, the font can be specified, and the leading/line spacing can be set tighter than the current default.

  16. Too much time is wasted by doing the simple little things all around Acrobat Reader and I want to address as many of the concerns as I can in one post. Turns out I can fit everything

    1) Ability to lock anything on the page so it never gets moved unintentionally. To unlock it you could click a padlock in the corner, if it's right on top of another if you highlight the padlock for 3 seconds a small popup could show vertically what you have with a solid background with the padlock so you can see clearly what you…

  17. When save PDF as JPG format, we can see which has comment stickers on it by default, I think it doesn't make sense since JPG format is not the proper way for reviewing all the comments. Maybe it can be a optional setting for comment existing when save as a JPG.

  18. We need more color option in the toolbar, usually, I like to use differents opacity/colors. So every time I need to change color, I need to find the most recent highlighted text and set his "properties as default". This action takes some time and it disctract me a lot.

  20. Converting or printing saved locally email messages to .PDF produces an error log file and cannot create or print to PDF format because it is looking for an "APTOS" font. Can Adobe add these fonts as an enhancement to the product?
