  1. Everything about the new update is worse than the previous version. I get terrible slowdown and "not responding" messages literally every time I use it, and the FIND function in particular has been ruined. It barely works, and constantly shifts itself out of the search bar. PLEASE REVERT THIS FUTURE TO THE WAY IT USED TO BE. Otherwise the software is almost unusuable.

  2. Tested on more then one PC: The Adobe Acrobat Pro extension (the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file) cannot be installed anymore in the Mozilla Firefox web browser and it always gives an error message upon its installation: "This add on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt".

  3. The signature dialog forms in Adobe Acrobat on macOS feature a default button (in blue) that do not trigger when hitting the return key on the keyboard, which in my view should happen. Any chance of supporting this long-held convention? Thank you

  4. It is not possible to change the by default black color for signature in ADOBE SIGN (see customer service chat attached)

This is a strong requisite in some countries. If this can not be met we will need to move to other signature software that allows this option.

I see this option is already available in Adobe Reader Fill and Sign for IOS so PLEASE include this option for ADOBE SIGN since it looks like an easy fix.

If this is not possible please provide the reason to try to understand the limitation.

  6. When Acrobat tries to verify digital signatures, it checks validity of all certificates included in the signed .pdf document. During this operation, it consults well-known Root CA authorities, locally trusted certificates, but also fetches all certificates from PKCS#11 Digital-ID token (if attached).

Since PKCS#11 Digital-ID tokens might be very slow, fetching certificates from it multiple times during each signature verification takes excessive amounts of time. No caching seems to be used in Acrobat: if the .pdf document contains 6 certificates, all certificates from Digital-ID token are fetched 6 times and this process might take 2.5 minutes.

    This is a bug…

  9. When generating a pdf version from word using the "save as adobe pdf",
it would be useful not just to have the original word document file name
as default preselected but also to have the storage location of the original word document preselected.
The file name from the original document is already used, so I'd imagine using the original document location should be easy.
Currently the default location seems from a document one has previously worked on.
It would be quite beneficial especially if one is working with several different documents at the same time.

    I believe the older version…

  12. When I use the split PDF, I select split by "Top level bookmarks" and "The same Folder Selected at Start" for "Target Folder" and "Use bookmark names for file names" under "File Labeling" under "Output Options". Then I click "Ok" and click on "Split".

I receive an error message that says "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

However, the file is NOT ready-only and no one else has the file open because it's saved in a local folder on my computer's…

  13. The new changes have messed everything up. It makes editing very frustrating. Specifically adding text to the pdf. It worked very well before, but now it is a mess. I can't add text where I want. It's too easy to accidentally drag existing text around and alter the form. The font size has to be changed for every text box, because it goes back to the tiny default size. The line spacing is no longer easy to adjust, and it doesn't save your preference. It's awful. PLEASE change it back.

  14. The batch OCR feature is simply not fit for purpose and needs completely replacing.

    1. When performing a batch OCR the application is entirely locked into the process and is unable to do any other tasks. Acrobat installs itself as the default PDF viewer, so you cannot even view a PDF by default when the OCR process is running. There needs to be a way to run these batch processes as true background tasks that do not interfere with other Acrobat functions, or the ability to open multiple instances of Acrobat.

    2. The batch process will often crash without warning or error …

  16. Acrobat 11 Standard version 11.0.20 with latest updates, Windows 2008 R2 OS.
Plugin built with Acrobat 11 SDK, c++ source code inspected by Adobe experts here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9672015#9672015
Rendering PDF including CID: after several correct prints, the print gets garbled. Restart Acrobat or logoff user does NOT fix garbling. Only VM reboot fixes garbled rendering.

    Hi

We cannot help you further as Acrobat 11 is end of life and there has been no confirmation from your side on if the issue exists with Acrobat DC or not.
We are closing this case from our end. Feel free to reopen a new case if you are still facing this issue with Acrobat DC

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  17. The user's choice for "fit to width scrolling", "fit one page", "read mode" should remain consistent for ALL documents and sessions. It's extremely aggravating that i have to choose my preference for every document.

Further, based on internet searches, setting the page display preference to "single page continuous" and "fit width" in preferences does not actually change the default behavior to what i want nor stick across future docs that are opened.

Every f*ing doc i open i have to click on the "fit to width scrolling" to be able to read the doc.

  18. I want to report a bug in the read-out loud feature of Acrobat Pro DC. I’m using a Mac (Mojave), and I have already set its accessibilty options to my favorite system voice and speaking rate. I thought I’d have a PDF doc read out aloud while I work on some graphics. The default voice was meh-next-to-terrible, so I looked under preferences for an option to change voice. I found it and was happy to find a long list of available voices, including the ones I already have installed on my computer. So I selected my favorite voice and tried…

    Hi,
Thank you for connecting with us. I understand your concern here. Currently we have to select the voice from Preferences and then check the voice on pdf.
Also we have kept this request in our radar. We currently do not have any plan to implement it but you may see it in future releases.

    Thanks

  19. One of the most common things we do as art directors, design directors and creative directors is to comment on PDF's.

In doing that we have to make boxes or circles to show where we want to make changes.

Almost every PDF editor under the sun has Red Stroke, NO Fill as default for this reason.

In Acrobat I have to click 3 times before I can get to set any object as no fill.

I'm really happy to be able to change fill colour of my rectangle or circle, but at least have one of the colours in the …
