1. Acrobat link functionality not scripted in NPAPI

   Have the link functionality able to work in all browser pdf viewers online and not by download.

   I will attache a file, the click me links work on desktop, but not in a browser window. We cannot expect our clients to download these files in order to use them. It would be great if these buttons continued to work in a browser window without needing to use acrobat as the default viewer.

   Please respond with any questions. I would love to help make this work. or let me know of any solutions to this issue i am experiencing. Many thanks for listening.

2. Open folder options.

   The adobe acrobat functions are amazing. I think the user interface needs to be improved. I think there should be a way to set a "default" opening folder. Start screen where it shows RECENT|STARS|SCANS. Also I think you should allow folder creating at higher level. So that you can do something "like" Google Stacks.

3. My bug regards monthly payment. I am getting notices of late payment but my PayPal message states payment was made

   I have an email from Pay Pal indicating my payment for October was offered on time but it is waiting on merchants instructions. How am I supposed to resolve this when it seems to be your issue. Payment went through the previous month without issues. Transaction number is 0-6CD36662BH222922D

4. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when reducing file size

   Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when reducing file size. I get no error message, no compressed file is produced, the original file is unaltered. This happens on multiple different files and is not associated with one particular file. Typically my files have been created originally from a word document (including images), and then have other PDFs inserted as additional pages which originate from excel and autocad.

5. fill in form field button

   -The new update has the "Fill in Form Field" button in a prominent place on the toolbar and it is the only text looking button in the default toolbar. Everyone in my design office mistakenly thought it was the text box tool and was extremely frustrated trying to redline documents. As designers, we do not use this software primarily for forms or even text documents, but for reviewing and commenting on drawings. Though I customized my toolbar and added what I need, it is not possible to remove the Fill in Form button from the tool bar, or even to move it to a less prominent position. I am tech savvy and inquisitive, so I figured out the problem and how to get the buttons I need easily, but you cannot expect everyone to hover over the button, learn what it is used for and then figure out how to customize the toolbar. The DEFAULT toolbar should include some kind of regular text or comment button automatically, so that people over the age of 50 have even a chance of figuring it out on their own. Likewise, we users should be given the agency to remove unwanted tools, such as the Fill in Form button, in my case, from our toolbar. I have not once used it.

   -Separately, please stop making the comment pane pop up automatically or enable that as a customizable setting I can turn off. Since the update, Acrobat keeps interpreting all text in my architectural CAD drawings as comments and opens them all in the comments pane even though they are NOT comments. It is annoying.

   -Also, you should have a rotate page button in the toolbar by default and it should go both clock and counterclockwise. My drawings routinely export sideways and it's tedious to click edit and then the rotate button three times for every new document.

   -Finally, I have been submitting this request since college (10 years ago), but please make a way to easily split scanned spreads into individual pages IN PAGE ORDER. Most professors scan books as full two page spreads. Sometimes I want to print or export them to my tablet as single pages so that it is more legible. There is STILL no way to automatically split them which blows my mind. Instead you have to duplicate each page, crop each of the twice as many pages and arrange them manually into page order. Sometimes the documents are hundreds of pages. It is wild this is still not a feature.

6. PDF fails to display in multiple scenarios even within the Cloud environment

   PDFs fail to display as attachment to WhatsApp chats; fail to display on the website of at least one of my banks; fail to open from the Cloud due to 'being already logged in" in another session.
   Fail to display on my iPhone, using Acrobat Pro. Message states that I need 'Acrobat Reader', etc, etc.
   I have a CC full sub and this is extremely frustrating. The reason I was induced to purchase CC was to avoid this kind of issues.
   Please help!

8. Fix this bug finally

   There is annoying bug on Windows Server 2016: AdobeCollybSync.exe can't locate SetThreadDescription in AdobeGrowthSDL.dll message appears every time we open .pdf. Why is it sill not fixed? We have payed version

9. Action crashes with too many files

   I'm using Acrobat Pro 11.0.0 on Windows 10. Running an action to convert pdf to pdf/a. If an input folder is specified to process and the folder has a large number of files, the Action stops at about file #250 with an error message that a .dll file (sorry I didn't get the full file name) is missing or corrupt. Have to use Task Manager to close Acrobat. Works well if number of files is less than about 250.

10. Create Comment Summary settings : save, enhance and allow presets

    1. It would be nice to allow at least saving default settings (paper size, font size, etc.)
    2. Best would be to create a set of predefined settings as in Create PDF with a menu to select one of those
    3. Please add a selection of mentions to include in the summary (or exclude). We don't need "Author: Text Replaced - Subject: Text - Date: Indeterminate" cluttering each comment. Thanks in advance.

11. Make it easier to prefill fields before sending

    When trying to check off a checkbox or select a radio button, you need to do multiple clicks to get to customize to then figure out where the default value is in order to simply check off the selection. This should be more intuitive like with docusign, and allow either a single click or double click to select it. If we want to customize that already exists in the right click.

12. E-signatures functionality reduced in New 2024 Acrobat

    With new 2024 Acrobat update, "request e-signatures" lost the ability to automatically sense 1) whether a field was signatory or the date of signing, 2) the appropriate size of the field. In addition, the default for the date was "date" entry, rather than "date of signing" and the default date format was DD-MM-YYYY, instead of a more typical US format. Before the update, I just had to select the person and click on the spaces next to "signature" and "date" for it to automatically populate the pdf with the correctly sized and formatted field, making it a very quick process. I tried several workarounds, but nothing came close to the previously functionality. I contacted the help desk and they told me how to revert to the old version, which works as before, pretty much seamlessly.

13. license activation system

    Hello,

    Would it be possible to have a license checkup system? Most users need Acrobat to generate PDF files directly from it or from third party software, using the PDF Maker functionality. However, not all users run Acrobat every 30 days and they get a License not registered message. Would it be possible to have a system that checks if the license is valid and keep it activated on the workstations, regardless if the users run Acrobat Pro or not?

14. Highlight Text

    When you have to highlight text and you want to change color you need to go to: Secondary button, Properties, Select the color that is by default and then choose a new color.

    I suggest that when selecting the Highlight Text tool a side tab be enabled that allows us to change colors. Attached example of the suggestion

This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. You may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

15. Misleading prompt on files created using XFA LiveCycle

    Idea posted here as a recommendation following the resolution of the ticket: E-000877044.

    When a user tries to open a XFA PDF that was created using LiveCycle, with a non-Adobe viewer they would get an error stating the following:

    "To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

    For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.htm"

    This is shown even if the user already has installed Adobe Acrobat Reader, they just have not set it as their default PDF viewer.

    That message should say something like:
    “Adobe LifeCycle Designer files are only supported by Adobe Acrobat Reader, please open this file with Adobe Acrobat Reader”.

    We have hundreds of users losing days talking to our internal service desk teams getting version upgrades just because of that misleading statement and we would like to suggest changing the verbiage of that warning.

    In our case, those files are created by Adobe Document Services within SAP Process Control for offline work item processing.

17. Adjustment to Box integration

    When saving a signed document, please adjust the integration and/or save dialogue so that the folder that opens in the save dialogue is the one from whence the source document was opened.

    Many of my users will find just as useful (if not more) than a simple default archive e-mail to folder (as is currently the only solution I can find)

    • as a student i need to see progress bar in the top of the screen thats refer to (pages passed/all pages) so it will be ez for me to track my reading progress and know how much remain;

    also u can add a percentage under page number like

19. Raise without a handler

    "There was a RAISE without a handler " message, Mac OS Sierra 12.10.6, Acrobat Reader 20.013.20074 - System shuts down Adobe when trying to open files. How vcan I fix it?

20. file assoc. in windows

    we need to know when adobe Classic track will be updated to fix the issue with windows 10 and file association for .pdfs. If you set the association within acrobat and then open a random PDF windows refuses to acknowledge that it was set in acrobat. however if you set it within windows settings it is fine.
