  1. The previous version of Acrobat commenting was simple and intuitive. You place your cursor and start typing for "insert", highlight and type automatically "replaces", highlight and delete automatically deletes. The new interface is slow, cumbersome, unintuitive and forces you to constantly change tool.

    Bring back contextual typing. I've downloaded an older version since this version is useless for comments.

    can any of you tell me how to set Photoshop as the default for opening images from Acrobat Pro DC (macOS Monterey)?

    Whenever I click on an image under "Edit PDF" with the "Edit" tool, the preview is displayed in the "Edit with" submenu. When I say "open with" I can select Photoshop. However, I would like to use Photoshop as the default here so that I don't always have to select the programme under "Open with".

    I had actually remembered that I could set this in the settings under the item "Touch up". Unfortunately, this menu item…

  4. When creating a form in Acrobat Pro DC, fields set to be read-only and locked can still receive focus while they should be skipped and their contents be unselectable. This happens even when the PDF is saved as Reader Extended with "enable more tools", regardless of whether the resulting PDF is opened in Acrobat Pro or Adobe Reader (DC)

  5. The UI for Acrobat Pro DC is absolutely horrible and non-intuitive. It actually takes me longer to do everything because I have to click into multiple areas on the screen instead of just the sidebar (e.g., to recognize text, I now have to mouse into the side bar, then move to the upper bar).

    That also assumes I can find where the feature/tool now resides. I have to constantly search for it.

    The Save As dialog breaks Windows user training and muscle memory because the big blue button is not “Save” or “okay” as expected. It is “Choose a Different…

  6. Please allow us to move the tools around and add all tools to our favourites. I can't stand having to search for the "add stamp" or other tools I use daily every single time I need it. As well, there are too many steps to get to the stamp. The old way was simpler and much faster & user friendly.

    The create & manage stamp portion does not work so anyone who needs to add a stamp to the document cannot do so and our company uses this daily.

    1. Open a multi page pdf
    2. Open Organize pages tool (my files are over 50 pages)
    3. Set view that you can see several pages and the page control appears on the right side of the screen.
    4. Enter a page number into the page control and press the enter key.
    5. Press the enter key again.

    Results: Either nothing happens (first time clicking <enter>) or the Organize pages tool closes (second time clicking <enter>). This makes the page control useless within Organize pages. I have to larger documents I'm trying to sort out and this is making it **** difficult to do!

  8. Behavior is on Windows 7 | Acrobat Pro XI version 11.0.23

    When running OCR (English and Italian) previous drawing markups (Free Form Tool) and highlights are corrupted. Free forms were rotated 90 degrees and translated, while highlights were moved up about 2.5 lines. I attached a word document with screenshots of the behavior. This behavior messed up highlighting work by a professor at Indiana University.

  9. The new toolbar isn't great but I can live with it. However, it FREQUENTLY protrudes over the document when you use a tool with a submenu or the type tool with the font and color options. This is very bad, especially when adding a comment in the margins. Since it is possible to move the toolbar, why not make it possible to orient it horizontally at the top or bottom of the page? That way, it won't obstruct lines in the middle of the document that happen to be close to the edge.

  11. by clicking three dots (...), a drop-down menu appears which is the closest thing I can achieve to my beloved custom tools that always appeared in the interface, in the order that I selected, and sometimes adjusted. Once something has been done, instead of dropping down the tools, clicking the three dots seems to repeat the most recent action, resulting in unwanted zooming. If you've got the three dots program to repeat the last action, please add an option to stop it.

  12. Current Behaviour - If a PDF document has a title present in the “Title” document property then the default initial view of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat PRO is set to "File Name" rather than the "Document Title".

    Impact - Acrobat's Accessibility Checks report the "Title" error while the title is already there. This requires the "Initial View" setting to be changed on each PDF manually.

    Desired Behaviour - Set the “Initial View” to “Document Title” as default when a PDF is opened on Acrobat Reader DC and Acrobat DC Pro.

  14. -It would be really great if you added a tool or section in the program to show a list of all highlighted areas with the ability to search and select between them.
    And also another section to do these for comments.

  16. Reopening the bug notice from 2019.
    The artifacting error is not fully functioning within Acrobat's tools as of July 2022 with the current beta version.
