  1. I am a Lecturer and I regularly mark scripts. It would be great of we could assess (mark) online on a pdf. There is not many online assessment tools out there. Learning is fast moving to the online space and being able to mark a pdf document will be excellent. I attached a file explaining detail of how it should work

  2. Your new interface update is horrible. I understand the need for simplification the attempt to make things easier for the end user, but not every one has the same needs. I don't NEED a tool bar that I can't get rid of or at least customize for my needs. I need a program that will give me the option to select and de-select the functions I use on a daily basis. I don't care about e-sign, but I would like to have an icon to organize pages with out having to go through two or three menus.

  3. I have a password protected pdf. I can open it with the correct password. Then I tried to remove the protection going through below steps.

    1. Tools
    2. Protect
    3. Advance options
    4. Security properties
    5. Changed security method to "No security"

At the fifth step, I got a prompt to enter the password again. I entered the same password I used to open the document, but it says the password is incorrect.

I checked for non-functioning keys of my keyboard and Caps Lock key. I am sure I entered the correct password.

    I am using Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) 22.003.20282
    Today(13th Dec 2022) I upgraded…

  4. give option to permanently hide bookmarks panel, who even uses this, why force on every document????!!!! good job guys, real smart, every person and every document needs a bookmarks panel that nobody uses. you are so innovative and fresh to ruin perfectly good software by cramming in stuff hardly anyone needs, just so you can say you are evolving, so you can sell more junk. get it together sometimes less is more.

  5. The new toolbar isn't great but I can live with it. However, it FREQUENTLY protrudes over the document when you use a tool with a submenu or the type tool with the font and color options. This is very bad, especially when adding a comment in the margins. Since it is possible to move the toolbar, why not make it possible to orient it horizontally at the top or bottom of the page? That way, it won't obstruct lines in the middle of the document that happen to be close to the edge.

  6. The introduction of what I'll dub the "save helper" is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen implemented in a well known software. In no circumstance does it do anything than take more time since you have to open a file dialog no matter what you click - all it does is introduce another impediment to workflow.

The best thing to do is remove this "feature" and have it actually default to where you opened the file from! You know, like software has been doing for the last 30 years?

The newest version also seems to have broken OCR,…

  7. edited: After some browsing, is this true that it's a subscription-based option for users not to view this "floating toolbar"?

Scenario is to open or make a document; the all tools menu pops out over the screen.

request is to look In "Preference > General", there should be a new check box and indicating a user that can loads the app without "All Tools" or any tooling menus going to load without user's interaction. With user's interaction, on the screen after app is loaded, Notice the X button close these tools menus, but buttons above for tool menus exists.…

  8. I think it would be beneficial to allow users to set colors for specific commenting tools or tools in general (strike through, text box, line, rectangle etc.) based off a selected profile. I am constantly switching specific tools between blue green or red based on the task, document, or customer i am working with. Allowing a quick change profile selection ( can also include signatures etc.) would allow people to have a real customizable system. If you are working contract for multiple companies doing side jobs this can let you keep track of each profile and their requirements for colors…

  9. I am working with Linde Engineering India (Linde AG) as Engineering consultant. Our daily routine job is to review various suppliers' documentation to meet the client requirement. Supplier submits the document which we review in .pdf using commenting tool. Previously we were using Acrobat 9 for this in Windows7. Now we are using Windows 10 for last more than 1 year and in that, we are only allowed to use Acrobat standard DC Version 2015.006.30033. In this Adobe Acrobat version, we are not able to edit the comments made by our peers / sub-ordinates before sending it back to Supplier

    Hi All,
This is as per the current design, we will keep your feedback in mind.

Could you please let us know if you are unlocking comments one by one.
Kindly take a note that you can unlock many/all comments in one go after selecting them in RHP.

    Regards,
    Arvind

  10. The current Acrobat Pro User Interface/UI hides simple features from users and forces them to type a search request to locate them. E.g., I want to "crop" a PDF. Previously this option was a click or two away in some rationally-organized menu. Now I have to type "crop" into a search field and hope I move fast enough to capture the "TOOLS...crop" search suggestion before it disappears and the search bar unhelpfully tells me that "No matches can be found" in the PDF document (combining "Help" suggestions and document word searches in one search bar field is…

  11. I believe previous versions of Adobe Acrobat had a "delete blank pages" options in the tools section that I used when scanning with Adobe. I cannot find this option in the new version. It was a very useful tool, and I would like it back. Using "extract" is not the same and not nearly as convenient, especially in a long document.

  12. Hello,

I fill out a TON of documents as a freelancer and this software just is missing some simple things that would make my life so much easier. Can we please just get a drag and drop fill option for todays date under that tab next to the signature? This would save me so much hassle alone.

Anyways, PLEASE PLEASE make this easier for people who are filling out documents as well as creating them. I feel like there are so many tools to create documents but none for the people filling them out.

  14. Please allow us to move the tools around and add all tools to our favourites. I can't stand having to search for the "add stamp" or other tools I use daily every single time I need it. As well, there are too many steps to get to the stamp. The old way was simpler and much faster & user friendly.

The create & manage stamp portion does not work so anyone who needs to add a stamp to the document cannot do so and our company uses this daily.

I liked the old Adobe before this new update. I don't…

  15. The previous version of Acrobat commenting was simple and intuitive. You place your cursor and start typing for "insert", highlight and type automatically "replaces", highlight and delete automatically deletes. The new interface is slow, cumbersome, unintuitive and forces you to constantly change tool.

Bring back contextual typing. I've downloaded an older version since this version is useless for comments.

  16. It would be really nice if the "Underline" tool was included in the right-click menu. Right now the Mac version has an option for highlighting and striking through, but not for underlining.

  18. There used to be a great feature where you could click a box to "keep tool selected" so you keep using the same tool, over and over again without clicking on the Icon again and again and again. It was especially useful when reviewing a large document where you wanted to highlight several passages or for adding text, etc.

  19. I've updated from 32 to 64 bits Adobe acrobat Pro and the user interface experience is terrible:
    * I don't find anywhere the add textbox.
    * I don't see the number of pages nor the present page number
    * I cannot add a button to take snapshots and to take an snapshot I have to go to the text / tool search. I cannot find the option in the menus.

I miss a lot the 32 bits user interface. I loose a lot of time looking for commands that where easy to find in the 32 bits version.

  20. It would be nice if we could select a certain tool (like comment or combine or organize) which can then be automatically selected when opening a new pdf. e.g., sometimes i need to organize the pages of 200 different pdf's, so when i open the next pdf the organize tool would automatically be selected and i could immediatly select the pages to delete.
i hope i explained this properly, would be a nice feature and it's not that big a deal.

    thanks in advance.
