  1. Would like to have the "rotate left" and "rotate right" buttons available in Acrobat Standard XI. The 3 step rotate page system is clunky.

  2. I have been trying to add an index for a 278 page book in PDF. I spent an hour on the phone to tech support in India and no one there seems to know how to do this.

I also need to be able to VIEW it and install it into this PDF to publish it. PLEASE add a tutorial on how this is done, step by step, without CLOUDING the issue with terms like "catalog" and "metatdata" that do NOT contribute to the objective.

  3. When using large files, like the attached one, Acrobat crashes when it reaches a memory usage of more than aprox. 3.500 MB in Windows Task Manager.
I could reproduce the issue, just by opening the page miniatures and a little scolling. It happens on different computers with 8 or 16GB RAM installed and with different Acrobat versions (DC Standard, DC Pro, XI Standard)
The reason for the memory usage are probably the pictures in these files.

Thanks for reporting the crash. We are able to reproduce it with your files. We will work on a fix soon. Will let you know once available.

  4. The operator ‘showpage’ should push a piece of paper through the printer; ‘erasepage’ should not. Analogously, erasepage should not add a page to a PDF.

In XI Pro 11.0.21 (26/07/2017), the following code makes a two-page file, the second page being blank. It should be a one-pager. This bug has cost me hours of attempting to debug my PostScript.

    %!PS

    /Helvetica-Bold 36 selectfont

36 36 moveto (First page) show
    showpage

36 36 moveto (Second page) show
    erasepage

  7. Quit asking for a person's birthdate for account verification. This is not necessary and only places the customer at more risk. You do not need this specific information to validate eligibility.

  8. One of our clients is experiencing issues with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. We have an Internet Explorer/ActiveX application in which a user can view PDF files through Internet Explorer's 'Adobe PDF Reader' ActiveX control.

When the user closes the control, Acrobat DC's AcroRd32.exe will close a moment later. If the user opens another PDF document too quickly after closing the first one, this new instance of AcroRd32.exe will not shut down properly even after closing the control.

Adobe Reader DC does not have this issue, but there it appears related to the 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' checkbox under 'Security…

    Hi

You can try the following –
Go to Organize Pages App to move the pages you want to see next to each other.
Then go to View→Display Options and select Two pages.

Please let us know if this works for you.

    Thanks
    Vivek

  12. Please make an option to keep text formatting, like line feeds, when copying text between two text boxes in same PDF file. At the moment Acrobat DC removes all line feeds when content is copy&pasted which creates a lot of unnecessary "Enter" typing.
Maybe something like CTRL+SHIFT+V = keep formatting?

Copying the whole text box is not an options, because the text box is sometimes rotated when pasted to another page.

Alternative to this request would of course be to make the text box rotatable.

  13. Acrobat will sometimes generate a pop-up that says "Update completed!" with two options: "Restart Now" and "Cancel". Naturally, I assumed that "Restart Now" meant restart Acrobat. Because that's what it means in every other application on my computer, from Firefox and Chrome, to Intellij, to Microsoft Word, to Steam, and so on. In reality, that innocuous looking button immediately restarted my entire computer, without any sort of warning or confirmation prompt. I've twice lost work (from other applications, like my web browser) because I forgot that in Adobe's world, a user is going to want to immediately restart their entire…

  15. In output preview the seperations still view in CMYK when only one colour is selected. So you can't see the seperate plates in Acrobat. I had to use Acrobat XI Pro to view the separations.

  16. A patch is urgently needed for Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and DC to overcome Windows' misbehavior vs. Acrobat after the latest update. Acrobat crashes during scan under Windows 10 latest update, often when one scans the first page, but sometimes only after one page or maximum two. I verified that by installing a fresh Windows 10 Enterprise, checked that Acrobat works; then Windows 10 was updated to the latest version and Acrobat scan stopped working on TWO different computers.

  17. You are missing a most basic editing feature: The ability to display additions or deletes to text in a pdf, as in Word's "Track Changes". How does a client see my edits to their document? Really! Will this be rectified?

  19. Please create a functionality to save all tabs with one click. Currently we need to go through every tab to save them. And while at it, close all and print all -functions would come handy too.
