  1. Linux users are in dire need of a PDF reader and editor ever since Adobe discontinued the Adobe Reader (version 9.x) for Linux!

None of the currently available (free or proprietary) PDF readers for Linux has proper support for annotating and commenting PDF files. Filling forms and signing documents is also only rudimentary supported by some of the currently available PDF readers for Linux.

Thus, this is a request to revive Linux support for the latest Adobe Reader as well as the full Adobe Acrobat suite.

  2. The issue is when users go to email a pdf, a new window pops up in the new 2019.012.20034 version, and blocks the view content of the pdf. This is creating unnecessary steps for users who send many PDFs to customers and need to see the PDF document to verify information. Scroll to the bottom to compare how the previous version allowed to still view the document. Please roll back to adobe acrobat reader 2019.010.20099 with no Pop-Ups!

  3. under MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 (18E226) in Acrobat Pro version 2019.010.20098 when we try to perform run a preflight fix (generate 2 mm bleed), Acrobat can't do it telling there was an error but not showing what error. The same fix applied on the same file using the same version of acrobat works perfectly under MacOS 10.11.6 - We tested it on different machines with the latest version of MacOS and Acrobat.

  4. Allow the setting of maximum font size for a field when creating a fillable form. This will prevent huge text in a field if there is a small amount of text but would still allow text to reduce in size automatically to fit within the field if needed.

  5. I always used the tick box while reviewing, using a filter so that comments I processed also disappeared. It was an easy and intuitive way of editing the source text with the help of the comments in the PDF. After the last update, the tick box is gone and now hidden. You have to click the dots in the top right corner of the comment, then select 'Set status' and then click the status. That's THREE clicks instead of one. NOT user friendly, NOT intuitive, NO improvement. Please give me back my tick box!

  6. When I set comments to only show unchecked comments, but then I reply to an unchecked comment, then check both that comment and my comment, it won't filter these newly checked comments.

I have to choose "show all comments" then filter by unchecked again for it to work. Please fix.

  7. I just installed Acrobat Pro DC and the it keeps shutting down after running only 10-20 seconds. I can occasionally open a file quickly enough, but after opening file, Pro DC then shuts down. Went through Adobe troubleshooting (checked updates, Distiller, repair installation), but problem persists. Note that I did NOT set Pro DC as my default program for PDF files. My original Acrobat Pro XI is running fine.

  8. I am using Adobe PDF Reader, and when I first open a PDF file, it appears correctly as a single icon on the taskbar. However, when I move the window to another monitor using Win + Shift + Arrow key, the same PDF file appears twice on the taskbar—as if two instances of the same file are open.

I would like to resolve this issue so that only one taskbar icon is shown, even after moving the window to another monitor.

  9. Who at Adobe thought that it would be a good idea to have a floating toolbar that the user cannot dock, cannot flip horizontally, and, critically, cannot choose to hide? It blocks readable document content and is very annoying.

Please create the option to hide the floating toolbar.

  11. I need a way to administratively disable generative AI company-wide.

Adobe has decided to launch generative AI in its new Acrobat beta. The announcement email indicated that to administratively disable generative AI for a team, that I must contact customer service. What????

Customer Service tells me the only way to disable generative AI is to deploy the following registry setting, which obviously is a terrible way to manage a product:

    HKLM/Software/Policies/Adobe/AdobeAcrobat/Beta/FeatureLockdown

    Create a Dword- bEnableGentech

    Set the registry value= 0

  12. Can we please have the old Acrobat UI back? I hate, HATE this new interface! What was the reason to completely change the look of Acrobat? I'd much rather the effort go into making the program more stable than ruining the user interface. Adobe has been swinging and missing far too often lately.

  13. The new version is horrible. I spend more time looking for where you hid basic menu items than I spend viewing files. Return to the old interface. It was kind of kludgy but no where as bad as this new one.

  18. The default printing preferences are Letter even though my Windows regional settings are not US. Should be A4.

I change the default from Windows Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners>Adobe PDF>Manage>Printing preferences>Adobe PDF Page Size but it resets every time Acrobat updates!

    Please fix both these issues.

  19. Rather than re-ordering and re-arranging pdfs within a combined file, I would like to be able to determine the order files are compiled. This can be by file title (alphabetically) or others. Right now when I combine several files into one pdf, they are scrambled out of order and I have to rearrange manually which can be cumbersome for larger compilations.
