  1. Dear Acrobat,

Please listen to customers and stop alienating them. People become dependent on your product through work. Please restore the version you threw out. You are creating unnecessary pain. Why does your company resist real feedback?

  2. the new version of acrobat is terrible! you took away tools that made it easy to provide graphic markups to documents, you reversed the entire format of where toolbars are located so i have to retrain my brain on where to look for things. the arrow box and markup editing features are clunky, slow and difficult to manipulate. if it isn't corrected i'm reverting to bluebeam for good.

  3. Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think".

  4. Please stop changing the Acrobat interface every year. It is very frustrating and time wasting to find the basic tools that I use to navigate documents. A basic thing like Marquee Zoom and other basic tools should be obvious and accessible, not buried in menus. I've wasted an hour this morning and whilst I can find the tool now, no idea how to add to standard tool bar. Stop doing this!!!!

  6. Your new interface is complete garbage. I have been using this software for years, and while I have been able to adapt to a lot of changes, you swapping the location of the bookmarks and tools is completely unwarranted and terrible. This is literally painful to look at. Who ever thought this was a good idea should go live in computer purgatory with that stupid Microsoft paperclip.

  8. I use Acrobat DC. I recently started using the new UI in December 2023. I think it is much worse than the previous UI. Functions that used to be in the top menu bar are now divided into two menu bars on the sides of the screen, while the area where they used to be is just an empty bar, a complete waste of space. This means there is a narrower part of the screen for the document. Maybe this is why they made it so that you can either see comments, or see bookmarks, but not both at the…

  9. What the **** are you guys doing to E-sign? It's terrible now. I can't send multiple documents at once in the desktop app? I'm going to need to drop my Adobe subscription if this isn't fixed immediately. DotLoop here I come.

  10. The new UI is not user friendly... it was supposed to improve the user experience, but you failed here. You have to go several layers of submenus to get a function that was previously available in one click... Thankfully you can disable the new acrobat to go back to the old UI, but this option will probably dissapear in time. So please check users' priorities before big changes.

  11. Your new UI sucks. I'm sure you guys are proud of yourselves for starting with a clean sheet and reimagining the UI, but it's like a QWERTY keyboard. Everyone is trained in a standard UI language, and yours departs from the standard SO much that it's impossible to use.

And your subscription costs a fortune, making the traditional UI of something like Foxit or PowerPDF so much more attractive. Not sure how much longer I'll last fumbling around your clunky UI.

  12. Revert to previous edition - this is sluggish & cumbersome - bloatware at it's worst - does nothing whatsoever to enhance the product - a jobsworth production

  13. I have decided to post this as a new idea just to highlight how HIDEOUS the new design is on the desktop. If this design on the desktop continues to 1 January 2024 the new year, I will change the default pdf reader on all PCs in my organisation to a competitor.
What kind of nonsensically non-inclusive design is this???? The work of laziness?

  14. The default layout of the comment tools menu has changed significantly in the new version of Adobe Acrobat DC and finding how to add functions like strikethrough and replace to the banner menu is not easy. This is frustrating for editors and typesetters who have to explain to authors how to proofread their galley proofs. Previously, I simply had to explain how to use Acrobat's comments function. Now, I'll have to explain to them how to find the menu to change the tools that appear on the banner, which is hard enough to figure out because it's just a bunch…

  15. Swapping the bookmarks pane and the tools pane is a stupid idea with no benefit for your users. Please go back to the old interface. If I have to use a new one I might as well just view documents in the browser and stop using Acrobat.

  16. I tire of having to re learn how to do things that were one key stroke or mouse click operations but now are 2 hand tasks or impossible to do. Why is it so important to change look and feel to "be like" google or microsoft or apple?

  18. I understand engineers need to make a living, and therefore must come up with new and adventurous ways to "optimize" content. With the 23.001.20177 release of Pro tools are now delegated to one visible and one hidden list in the left sidebar. PDF standards are near the bottom of the hidden list. I use this all the time, so now I must go through multiple points and clicks to perform a task that was one click before. Either go back to the previous configuration or allow the toolbar to be customized. (I saw "solved" on an old previous thread on…

  19. REMOVE THE IDIOTIC HOME SCREEN! there has been thousands of threads on this. Nobody likes! the first thing everyone does after an update, googles how to turn it off, because adobe likes to move that option around to make it more difficult for everyone!
i'm in production so i have to open a lot of pdf files, so each time i close one i have to close 2 windows. do you think this is productive? no it's a waste of time. REMOVE!!!

  20. In other PDF editor programs, there is the ability to customize tickmarks in a toolbox that can then be assigned to a keypad number to be accessed quickly and repeatedly. Creating this functionality would greatly increase the speed in which user can apply those tickmarks in reviewing a document, generating significant efficiency when a large volume of documents require this type of review.
