New UX, Chiming in
Along with others I am horrified at the tragic mess the UX (yes, user experience) has become. The UI design is following the unfortunate trend of "unify everything" into a web/mobile topology that has been infecting applications for a while now.
I had a well-developed workflow in Acrobat Pro, that the new & obnoxious UI design, that you shoved down my CPU's throat, broke. More than that, the usability of the new atrocity is a step back.
A number of problems/defects are exhibited, but the three deal breakers are:
1- the floating toolbar (it's fine to have it as an…17 votes -
This update SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whose good idea is it to move the bookmarks to the right side panel with no options to move it to the left? SUCKS Whose good idea is it to set it up so that I can't have both the comments bar and bookmarks displayed at the same time SUCKS I can't even tell what page, e.g., 5/124 I am on so that I can navigate easily or set footers to specific pages SUCKS And this is just in the first 5 minutes of my day

Stop messing with interface
Please stop changing the Acrobat interface every year. It is very frustrating and time wasting to find the basic tools that I use to navigate documents. A basic thing like Marquee Zoom and other basic tools should be obvious and accessible, not buried in menus. I've wasted an hour this morning and whilst I can find the tool now, no idea how to add to standard tool bar. Stop doing this!!!!

Revert to previous edition - this is sluggish & cumbersome and constitutes a regressive step rather than enhancement - bloatware !
Revert to previous edition - this is sluggish & cumbersome - bloatware at it's worst - does nothing whatsoever to enhance the product - a jobsworth production

no room at top to grab and drag window
There is no room at the top to grab and drag the window. I have to go all the way to the left to click an area so I can drag the screen. I like to have two windows beside each other on the screen to compare and reference art in Acrobat. There's barely enough room at the top and if I click, I risk closing a tab. This was not an issue with the old version. Also, the X (for close) should be on the left of the tab. I rarely "star" files and to close a tab, I'm…

The new UI is no good at all.
I have used Acrobat for many, many years and this update to the UI is very frustrating. I don't really know why it is confusing, but it is. I don't see why the Tools needed to be grouped into tiny icons in a constant, annoying side-bar, they were much easier to pick and use (especially for newbies who I may teach to use the software in our office) when they were on their own tab, with the smaller handy icons on the right being useful once you understood each tool. It was what made Acrobat the preferred software against other…

Help your users transition to the new look
The abruptness of this change felt like a slap to the face. I'm sure all the features I use are there . . . somewhere. Why don't you consider helping your users like the new look by using the usage data you're surely collecting to provide users a custom walkthrough of: here's this feature you frequently used, here's that feature you frequently used, oh and did you know you can customize placement of this thing and that. Oh and try this keyboard shortcut for this other thing it looks like you frequently do.

Why the Changes to Page Layouts
Why do companies feel the need to constantly "improve" on the lay-out and appearance of an applicaiton that works great? I've noticed that many companies are changing the lay-out, appearance or style of their products. Adobe Reader recently underwent a change. Much of the same products are there, just moved to different locations on the page, making for 1) another learning curve 2) frustration as to why things changed. Don't "fix" what wasn't broken.

Allow fillable forms to be marked as a "template".
Request:
A Microsoft Word document can be either a.docxor.dotx, the difference is that when saving the.docx, the file is overwritten; when saving the.dotx, a new file is created. I propose a similar feature for PDFs.Use Case:
I've created a fillable PDF and saved it as a PDF to a network share and SharePoint. People have the tendency to open it, fill it out (as they should) and then click save (or Ctrl-S, muscle memory). That commits those filled form fields to the file system such that the next person who opens…17 votes -
Bug Report - Acrobat Pro DC hangs on external Javascript editor
I’m trying to edit Javascript in an external editor. This has worked for years until just now. I’ve tried Brackets and TextWrangler with the same failure. Acrobat launches the external editor, and waits until the editor process is no longer running. This means that you actually have to quit the editor after saving the document in order to make Acrobat respond to your input again. This is fine, it has always worked in the past. But now when I quit the external editor, Acrobat remains unresponsive because it's waiting for the external editor to close, even though it’s already closed.

Dark Theme / Dark Mode for "viewing" a pdf.
Dear Sir,
Please note that Accessibility Settings for enabling Dark Mode don't always work. They do work but in some cases only. Please see the attached images to understand the issue. It's high time that Acrobat DC should officially support Dark Mode / Dark Theme for viewing a pdf in the same way as the feature is supported on Android version of the software. Dark Mode is partially implemented in the product like the Tools Bar and all but not implemented for viewing a pdf. Please address this issue ASAP. Thank you.17 votes -
Comments shall not get auto-locked
I am working with Linde Engineering India (Linde AG) as Engineering consultant. Our daily routine job is to review various suppliers' documentation to meet the client requirement. Supplier submits the document which we review in .pdf using commenting tool. Previously we were using Acrobat 9 for this in Windows7. Now we are using Windows 10 for last more than 1 year and in that, we are only allowed to use Acrobat standard DC Version 2015.006.30033. In this Adobe Acrobat version, we are not able to edit the comments made by our peers / sub-ordinates before sending it back to Supplier…

Keyboard shortcut to show Organize Pages
Please give the ability to open the Organize Pages Window Pane with a keyboard shortcut command (or the ability for a user to make one). It's an implementation that would have a huge impact on the everyday workflow of our buisness.

stop "Recent" screen on opening DC and constantly opening
Please Please stop the "Recent" screen opening, just put it back to where it was.
The checkbox that was in Preferences - Catalogue, no longer exists, for windows, (yet it does for Mac)
Thi sseems also tied into the chssck box to "stop" files opening as you are converting various files into one PDF, as as DC opens the individual files its stops the conversion process with the error "cannot continue as the xxxx file is open" i get round by being ready to close the file as it opens, but this is represents several steps backwards.

Provide a way to remove/move Request for signatures button in Office Home ribbon
In a recent update, Adobe Acrobat added 2 buttons in Microsoft Office applications to "Request for Signatures" and "Create and Share Adobe PDF".
This integration doesn't appear in the Ribbon or in the Add-ins list, so currently there is NO way to remove/move those buttons. It is a significant problem when you work with documents side by side or in lower resolution displays because they take too much space in the ribbon and force other more important buttons/groups to collapse/hide.

Keep "fit one full page" and 'fit to width scrolling" as separate buttons
Please Keep "fit one full page" and 'fit to width scrolling" as separate buttons and not in one drop down menu. I switch between these two options a lot since I read a lot of scientific publications and I need to go back and forth, zoom in and out a lot. It is really annoying to click twice every single time.

I hate everything about the acrobat pro DC menus
So far I hate everything about the acrobat pro DC menus and it has been 2 years, I keep hoping for an update backward for the old menu.
Changing the way pdf are managed and adding additional features, is great but why would you change menus commands and locations.
We are all using computers not tablets, and the so called lighter theme sucks.17 votes -
