  1. The program needs an eraser (I've been telling Adobe techs this for years) If you need an example, download a trial version of Bluebeam Revu. Take a look at their crop, eraser, cut and flatten tools. You guys need to step up your game!

    Thanks for reporting your concern.
We already have a feature request for this. The engineering team will work on this issue once prioritized.
We will inform you once it is implemented.

    Thanks.

  3. It should be possible to copy the text easily from a highlight. Right now, this is almost impossible. (One had to switch to the Edit tool). Why not create a Copy Highlight item in the context menu. Or, when one clicks on and selects a highlight, why not simply let CMD-C do the job?

  4. Editing Adobe Sign Documents Before anyone signs in Workflows. You need to allow people to edit email addresses, documents, etc before anyone signs just like you do in the Send tab but for Workflows.

  5. Have 1 icon for bookmarks wether it is created by adding a new bookmark or combining pdf files.
If you need to add a new bookmark to a file you cannot get it to display the same icon as those created using combine pdf's. Unless they offer different functions there is nothing but confusion caused by having 2 different icons.

  6. It would be nice to have the ability to remove just one footer instead of removing all headers/footers. For example, I work on large publications and would like to be able to leave the different headers and copyright footers for each chapter in place, but be able to update the page numbers. Currently, when I remove or update a header/footer, it effects ALL headers/footers. There should be a menu option to pick and choose which headers/footers to alter.

  7. I'm so disapointed in this roll out of AI features. It completely bogs down Acrobat. Every time I go to edit text, something very simple, it has to generate a whole new menu and even ask me if it wants it to create an image, every. single. time.

I've disabled it multiple times and it keeps coming back. You can tell there are new things running in the background tied to the menu, help, and AI Assistant.

Acrobat used to be one of my favorite platforms, I could just about do anything in it. Now I can barely do anything…

  8. Hey, try listening to all of the users of your services and remove AI. Admit it: you got played by some billionaire into buying AI and you can't square yourselves to acknowledge it's a bad investment. Fire the dummy who pushed it, take the loss and move on. No one wants AI. Remove it.

  9. Remove AI

That stupid button taking up so much screen real estate for a feature I will never use. I hope someone feels some shame for promoting this trash, which, worse than being useless, is intended to make human cognition itself dependent on silicon valley products. If people want this so badly, why not let them select it from a suite of services for a premium instead of forcing it on every single user of your product? Worse than useless, zero functionality, aesthetically unappealing, takes up valuable space on my screen. Try making worthwhile products again instead of coming up…

  10. This has to be the dumbest user interface "upgrade" I have ever seen in my LIFE!!!! Tasks that I used to breeze through are taking me forever. The **** stamps won't turn off after I use it one time and only need it one time. I used to be able to copy text boxes and paste them. Way to foul things up!!!

  11. This is someone else's comment, but so apropos! "Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think"."

    This is impossible to use.

I chose the "user interface" category only because I couldn't select "all of the above." I also created an account for the sole purpose of posting this.

  12. Along with others I am horrified at the tragic mess the UX (yes, user experience) has become. The UI design is following the unfortunate trend of "unify everything" into a web/mobile topology that has been infecting applications for a while now.

I had a well-developed workflow in Acrobat Pro, that the new & obnoxious UI design, that you shoved down my CPU's throat, broke. More than that, the usability of the new atrocity is a step back.

A number of problems/defects are exhibited, but the three deal breakers are:
1- the floating toolbar (it's fine to have it as an…

  13. Whose good idea is it to move the bookmarks to the right side panel with no options to move it to the left? SUCKS Whose good idea is it to set it up so that I can't have both the comments bar and bookmarks displayed at the same time SUCKS I can't even tell what page, e.g., 5/124 I am on so that I can navigate easily or set footers to specific pages SUCKS And this is just in the first 5 minutes of my day

  14. Please stop changing the Acrobat interface every year. It is very frustrating and time wasting to find the basic tools that I use to navigate documents. A basic thing like Marquee Zoom and other basic tools should be obvious and accessible, not buried in menus. I've wasted an hour this morning and whilst I can find the tool now, no idea how to add to standard tool bar. Stop doing this!!!!

  15. There is no room at the top to grab and drag the window. I have to go all the way to the left to click an area so I can drag the screen. I like to have two windows beside each other on the screen to compare and reference art in Acrobat. There's barely enough room at the top and if I click, I risk closing a tab. This was not an issue with the old version. Also, the X (for close) should be on the left of the tab. I rarely "star" files and to close a tab, I'm…

  16. I have used Acrobat for many, many years and this update to the UI is very frustrating. I don't really know why it is confusing, but it is. I don't see why the Tools needed to be grouped into tiny icons in a constant, annoying side-bar, they were much easier to pick and use (especially for newbies who I may teach to use the software in our office) when they were on their own tab, with the smaller handy icons on the right being useful once you understood each tool. It was what made Acrobat the preferred software against other…

  17. The abruptness of this change felt like a slap to the face. I'm sure all the features I use are there . . . somewhere. Why don't you consider helping your users like the new look by using the usage data you're surely collecting to provide users a custom walkthrough of: here's this feature you frequently used, here's that feature you frequently used, oh and did you know you can customize placement of this thing and that. Oh and try this keyboard shortcut for this other thing it looks like you frequently do.

  18. Why do companies feel the need to constantly "improve" on the lay-out and appearance of an applicaiton that works great? I've noticed that many companies are changing the lay-out, appearance or style of their products. Adobe Reader recently underwent a change. Much of the same products are there, just moved to different locations on the page, making for 1) another learning curve 2) frustration as to why things changed. Don't "fix" what wasn't broken.

  20. Request:
A Microsoft Word document can be either a .docx or .dotx, the difference is that when saving the .docx, the file is overwritten; when saving the .dotx, a new file is created. I propose a similar feature for PDFs.

    Use Case:
I've created a fillable PDF and saved it as a PDF to a network share and SharePoint. People have the tendency to open it, fill it out (as they should) and then click save (or Ctrl-S, muscle memory). That commits those filled form fields to the file system such that the next person who opens…
