  2. Open an existing comment bubble popup that has text in it. Select (highlight) the text. Now just move the mouse cursor slightly outside of the comment popup boundary. The text you highlighted becomes unhighlighted! I can’t even express how maddeningly frustrating this is. We have hundreds of edits a day that we need to copy the comment text out of Acrobat.

We are CONSTANTLY selecting the text, hitting COMMAND+C, switching over to a different program to paste, only to realize that either nothing gets pasted in or the text from the previous edit is still on the clipboard. I finally…

  4. Under the prepare form area, you can add form fields. However, you can't rotate the field box. It always stays straight. I would like to be able to rotate it based on the direction of the image/text in the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  5. Whenever opening pdf file, Acrobar Pro DC always shows a window titled as 'content preparation progress". This takes too long and blocks file content & makes hard to read file content.
    Sometimes several minutes, sometimes forever!
    This needs to be improved.

  6. This is about both editing and exporting PDFs.
The attached PDF has an explicit explanation of the issues + screenshots. Text from the attached file goes right here.

I’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.006.30355.

    On Web page https://www.zm.gov.lv/mezi/statiskas-lapas/nozares-informacija/buklets-meza-nozare-latvija-?nid=1088#jump
..there is a link to a PDF file "Latvia's Forests During 20 Years of Independence" 2010, https://www.zm.gov.lv/public/ck/files/ZM/mezhi/buklets/MN_20_EN.pdf
The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues.

In the said file, page 47 there…

  7. I want to suggest an improvement to Acrobat Professional:

When adding headers or footers to a document, I suggest that the mechanism use the document's page numbers, instead of inventing its own.

For example, my document has page numbers A.1 through A.29 followed by B.1 through B.7 followed by C.1 through C.6 ... followed by V.1 through V.11.

Right now, it seems that the only way I can get the actual page numbers to accurately appear in the footer is Add 22 different footers. That's an onerous task.

Need Info  ·  Ritesh (Adobe) responded

    Hi,

You can use this email address to send the PDF file: rite@adobe.com

Also If you could, please also attach the snapshots of printed documents with contains “codes at the top or bottom”.

Have you tried a different printer?

    Regards,
    Ritesh

  10. We often receive multi-page PDFs of publications initially created in InDesign with a request for updates. In order to make these updates flexibly, we would have to recreate the document indesign and then make the updates.

I seams reasonable to ask Adobe, to create a functionality, where one can convert or export PDF (generated from InDesign document) to .indd InDesign file format.

  11. Provide a check off that functions to prevent the OCR from mixing numbers and symbols in words.
For example: Custodian should not be read Cu&t0d1an - only letters should be recognized in words.

  13. I am running Adobe Acrobat DC on a Windows 7 machine with 16GB of RAM and an NVidia NVS 310 Graphics Card. I have no issues regarding visual display or memory with other software. When running Adobe Acrobat DC, I frequently encounter issues where the file/program crashes, giving an error that it is Out of Memory or encountering a Draw Error. This has happened while reading multiple different PDF files, usually after I have been scrolling through the file for a short time. Usually, when this message occurs the page displays as a blank white page, and if I continue…

  15. With the latest update, not all PDF files are displayed correctly.
Problem occurs with me and our end customers under Windows.
The fonts are no longer displayed correctly in terms of character spacing and font size.
The same PDF files worked before the update and continue to work in other programs for displaying a PDF.
The EDocPrintPro PDF printer is used in my case, but I cannot rule out that other PDF printers are affected.
In my example in the appendix I have inserted test data and assigned a different available font to each text. The problem occurs with most…

  18. I HATE IT!!! You took away the things I use MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY SINGLE DAY that I had in a quick access toolbar.
I do NOT need AI, I do NOT need a "summary", I need to convert documents to PDF and make them accessible. I'm back to 37 steps to even start now?????

EVERYTHING is moved. Why? Because you hate us and don't want people to use your product? If I learn the new locations, how long until you move everything again?

I cannot describe how much I hate this. I'll encourage my company to look for a PDF…

  19. Running Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2024.001.20604 on a Mac.

Previously, we could change the commenter name and make the new commenter name a default by editing the comment "Properties > General" and then checking "Make Properties Default", as detailed here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-cc-comment-name-change/td-p/9307260

With the most recent update, "Make Properties Default" has no effect. It continually defaults back to each individual's Adobe User Name with every new comment. We can change each of them by hand, but cannot change the default behavior.

We can enable Edit>Preferences to "Always use Log-in name for author name", but that will only use the log-in name…

  20. The icons are way too small and are greyed out so not very legible
also the most important icons are buried in the bottom right so drop off your screen completely - the most common thing u do when opening a pdf is to enlarge or shrink the size, its a right pain hunting the icons to do that, every time.
