1. New Toolbar Suggestion

   Former versions of Acrobat (I believe versions 10 and below), prior to Acrobat DC, had the capability of showing tools on two rows at the top of the document pane and suggest consideration for returning to that type of user interface.

   The lack of colorization of icons in DC, the basic shapes and the inability to show nearly all tools in the toolbar makes it very difficult and time consuming to edit and markup documents. Detailed, colorized tool icons of old, combined with the ability of truly customizable, multiple toolbars would make Acrobat much more productive.

   Is there any way to add a second and possibly third row to the tool bar or some way to show nearly all the tools while working on a document? The productivity gain from the proposed extra toolbars would seemingly offset any loss of screen "real estate" for document viewing/editing.

   Please see the attached screenshot, as a reference to older versions of Acrobat that had the option for two-row toolbars and detailed, colorized tool icons.

2. The new update

   The new update is just horrible. Mutch less userfriendly then the previous version. Would gladly go back to the old one. Please do a serious update to the new verison.
   The signing is almost impossible. Sometimes it workes and other times is does not. The 100 choices for the signing makes it confusing and hopless to use.
   The application hangs/freezes all the time.

   I would not recommend it to anyone after this update.

3. Annoying pop-up window during Start-up

   Every time the app starts, the "What's new" window pops up which ****** me of.
   Please, make an option like "Shut the duck up and never pop-up again" available just on this window.

4. Bring back the old commenting toolbar

   I am an editor and frequently use the PDF mark-up tools, including strikethrough, insert text and especially "replace selected text". In previous versions, these tools were nicely organized in a toolbar across the top of the screen. If you wanted to use one, you simply had to click or highlight within the text as needed, then choose the appropriate tool in the toolbar. The new version consolidates these and other functions in a reduced menu on the left side of the screen. To use any tool, you now have to click a main icon, then choose the desired tool from a pop-up menu.

   In a document with dozens or hundreds of edits, these extra clicks and tool selections add up. As a result, the editing process is considerably less fluid and intuitive. I have downloaded an older version of Adobe Reader (couldn't find one of Acrobat) to avoid having to deal with this.

   Please bring back the old, complete toolbar of commenting tools.

5. Reinstate replace text by simply highlighting and typing

   One used to be able to insert comment to replace text by simply highlighting/selecting it and start typing. Please reinstate! Now I must right-click and select "Add note to replace text". I use this feature a lot when going through my students' work or proofreading, often hundreds of times in a day, and it is taking much longer than it used to with 3 times as many mouse clicks (not good for my arm!).

6. Stop messing with the GUI on your products

   Please, for the love of all that's good and right in the world, stop dramatically changing the GUI of your products that are already functional as is and making us relearn where all the tools we use are because you decided to rearrange the furniture. It's not fun. It's certainly not an improvement. I have work to do, I don't have time to figure out, every time there's an "update" where you decided to hide everything I need to use to get through my day. Your latest Acrobat "improvements" meant that in the middle of an important, time-sensitive project, I had to spend time poking at your hideous new interface where you basically threw all the existing menus into a food processor and then poured it all back out on the other side of the screen. You hid all the navigational functionality and made me guess what your itty bitty icons were supposed to lead. I need a PDF viewer, not an easter-egg hunt. This request not to mess with the basic functionality of an application by goes for the rest of your products, too. Please please stop. FFS.

7. Update for Adobe Reader worse

   Recently a new update was done for Adobe Reader editing and annotating a PDF. For a number of reasons this has been made worse in terms of easy of use:
   - Menu has now been put on the side instead of the top - interfering in the text of the PDF
   - This function is used to mark exam scripts sent in by PDF
   - The Check mark function used to work very well - not it does not work on many spots of the script - you now have to make a check mark in the wrong place and drag it.
   - Also check mark sometimes stops working altogether - one has to go back to the menu to click on it again to get it working.
   - All the above is true of the other options - cross mark etc.
   - To annotate a script the text box used to work well - now sometimes it does not work consistently.
   - I have no idea how an update, meant to improve the software can end up making worse?

8. Complaint

   This latest update of Adobe Acrobat is horrible. The new layout is disorienting, not at all intuitive and I can't find anything anymore. The tool bars and other side sections now take up so much space that I have no space in which to read. The floating tool thingy on the left side obscures text that I want to see. Who was this designed for and how do I revert back to the previous version of the program?

9. not user or eye friendly

   The design of the previous version was more eye and user friendly. Don't like the way this one looks at all! I'm having to look for things that were easy to find! Go back to the previous design and modify from that. It feels like you went in reverse instead of upgrading the program.

10. Adobe acrobat tool bar changed

    Change the tool bars BACK. CANNOT find anything. What were you doing - smoking fentanyl?!@# and decided to confuse everyone?

11. Disable Home Screen

    PLEASE include a way to permanently turn off the home screen. Adobe Acrobat 2002 on a mac. Very intrusive and interruptive of work flow.

12. pinning marquee zoom

    marquee zoom is a critical tool that should be accessible from the quick access tools or pinned somewhere on a tool bar. in the new update on windows 11 this is not possible and marquee zoom can only be activated from the drilling down through the drop down menu each time you need to use it, which is constant for me. in general this release makes it very difficult to set up the interface for efficient use in different work flows. other tools like the print snapshot seem to just be gone. print snapshot is another very useful tool that should be able to be pinned somewhere.

13. Adobe shortcut on desktop unable to be deleted unless admin and it keeps getting added back no matter how many times IT deletes it!

    Stop adding the Adobe shortcut on desktop that users are unable to deleted unless admin privileges are entered. Every update its another email to IT to ask them to delete it.

14. "Unified" 64-bit Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC isn't really unified

    Tl;dr: The new 64-bit version of Acrobat should work as Reader when not logged-in/assigned a license.

    In the era of work-from-home we now have all of our users logging into a multi user terminal server.

    On this server we recently installed the 64-bit version of Adobe since it's where the industry is moving to; however, we then discovered that once Adobe "upgrades" itself from Reader mode to Acrobat mode all of our reader only users cannot access the product.

    Since it is not possible to install both the 64-bit version of Acrobat and Reader, since they install to the same folder, this makes the 64-bit version of Acrobat/Reader unusable in our organization.

    The new 64-bit Adobe Acrobat/Reader should only activate the Acrobat features if a user is logged in with a license.

    For now we will go back to using the 32-bit version.

15. Enable sending Adobe Sign Document from secondary/alternate email address

    Allow the sender to choose an alternate email address instead of the primary email address used for Adobe subscription. I use my personal email address for the subscription but would like to be able to send documents to clients for signature from my business email address.

16. BUG: Cannot turn off the "Get e-signatures fast" banner

    I totally get that you want to tell people about new features of your application but I don't need it to STAY in the interface. It is extremely annoying that I cannot turn off this banner. Give me a way to get rid of the **** thing

17. Cannot save if file is being previewed in Windows File Explorer

    On the Windows 10 desktop, if your view option in File Explorer is set to have a preview pane and the file you're working on is selected and being previewed, Acrobat will throw a dialog window that says: "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.".

    The preview pane is causing Acrobat to assume the file is in use, which technically it is, but this is a bug that shouldn't cause a file saving error. Selecting another file in File Explorer fixes this and allows you to save. But this workaround shouldn't be necessary. Please fix.

18. BUG: optimizing file changes page labels

    Over the past several months, we have been having issues with page labeling. We combine single pdf's to one file, change the page labels as needed with new name, save, and when we optimize the file the page labeling changes. So, if I have pages 1-25, page 26 new page label (ie insert1), then the next page shows up as page 26 and not 27 as it was in file before we optimized. We also change pages in the back for Covers, ie C3 and C4. When the file optimizes, the page number switches C4 with C3 and C4 to C3. This has been going on for 3-4 months. Why is saving as optimized file changing the page labels in my file. Please fix.

19. Ability to change the default Font Color in Edit PDF/Add Text from Black to Red

    i use Red almost exclusively when i'm adding text to a pdf. it's a pain to have to change the color from Black to Red every time. would like the ability to change the Default Color.

20. Drag and Drop to Desktop to Extract stopped working

    I can no longer drag pages from the Pages Thumbnail sidebar onto my desktop to make a new PDF of those pages. I haven't tried to do this since the last update came through... Is anybody else experiencing this?

    It's extremely slow and frustrating having to manually right click extract, select the pages, open it in a new adobe window, then have to save the file through the menu.
