  1. Right now if I want to have the filename printed on documents, for each of them I have to do the procedure described below. I would be nice to have a quick setting with check boxes to print the filename for all documents without having to do the below procedure for each of them. It is really ... bad. You need only the choices of (Top, Bottom) and (Left, Middle, Right) and this will do for most users and most cases I would say. Thanks.

    Procedure :

    Add a Sticky note
    Write a filename

    Dear Adobe team.
I wish I could print a batch of PDFs to PDFs as an image. Print> Advanced> Select 'Print as image'. If you had the option of including multiple PDFs in that functionality, it would save you a lot of work. I have hundreds of PDFs in which I inserted a watermark, and I need to send it to my client, but I don't want to take the risk of having the watermark removed. Then the solution would convert and generate a new PDF with the printed pages as an image, merging the content with the watermark…

  4. It would be interesting to have a feature to protect PDFs with a batch editing password. Imagine protecting 100 files, with the same password, one by one?

  5. I am creating a C++ plugin for Acrobat, where in user can use this plugin and open the file from secured DB using Virtual file system. However, need to restrict all forms of sharing or extracting of contents from the PDF which is opened.

I tried using AVDocOpenFromPDDocWithParams and specified a permReqProc, using this I was able to restrict most of the tools from copying or extracting contents. i.e., Edit PDF, organize Pages, Prepare form etc.

However, the following tools seems to be not honoring the permReqProc and still content is being extracted from the already opened PDF Document.

  6. When creating a PDF from a .docx file from within Microsoft Word, when PDF/A compliance is set to "PDF/A-1a", text boxes will have borders in the PDF even when they do not have borders in the Word document itself. No other PDF/A compliance setting exhibits this bug.

  9. Recently when I try to print PDFs to my HP LaserJet P1102w, from a mac running Catalina 10.15.5, the documents don't print and there is an error "filter failed." This does not happen when I try to print Word documents. I am connected to the printer via a USB cable. I am able to print to other HP printers in the house. I have tried removing and reinstalling the printer driver, but this does not fix the problem and I still get an error "filter failed."

Because this only happens when trying to print PDFs, I think this may be…

  10. Error message: “The XFA form cannot be edited using Adobe Acrobat.”
So I followed the troubleshooting instructions and tried to save the form as Encapsulated PostScript file.
Error message: “An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.”
I thought I was the person who created the document. Not sure what I should do.

How important is this to you?

    Hi,

Can you please describe your workflow in a bit more detail? Which application are you trying to use inside Acrobat?

    Regards,
    Sandeep

  12. Until recently you could prepare a form and ask for initials in Acrobat Pro DC. This needs to be reinstated to the application or added to Adobe sign. I use forms regularly that require fields to be initialed and now I cannot request verifiable initials through either method.

  14. The included images are screen shots of 2 PDFs we are working with.
Both are in the same format with different data & overall structure remains the same.
“Aa” doc was converted as in the same format & structure of the PDF itself,
but “B” doc was converted with incorrect sequence of data lines.
To be precise ,in “B” doc the row after “issue date”, With “Buyer: xxxxxxx Vendor:tttttt Manufac**** Agent:****”
Came below the Line:02 row box, after the conversion of doc from pdf to excel.

“Aa-Converted” and “B-convereted” are the converted excel files of Aa & B correspondingly.

  18. This should enable page down to show each page exactly on the screen, but is consistently too large, eg 71% needs to be changed to 70% to display correctly on page down. I have found this on old and new versions and various screens.

  19. Were I to have to attest in a court of law as to my having affirmed the Adobe sign signature, any testimony would come with no tribute paid to Adobe. By contrast, we were previously given the means to select a font to adopt as one's own. Considering the cost of Adobe's license, I would think Adobe would provide a font selection worthy of a professional's signature, not what is now viewed as an illiterate attempt to write one's name.

  20. Our procurement office requires receipts. Your customer service rep states that Adobe does not have have payment receipts, invoice serves as a confirmation of payment; Invoices are added to account only when it's paid. Our procurement office says that this is not acceptable and we need a confirmation that states that the invoice is in fact paid.
