  1. Don't open bookmarks by default!

When opening a document that has bookmarks embedded in it, the bookmarks panel opens automatically (and slowly) and takes up a third of the screen. It's infuriating, takes several seconds before it can be closed, and is completely pointless. Ditch it, or make it take up a tiny fraction of the screen space. I hate the way Acrobat prioritizes bookmarks over every other aspect of the interface.

    1. It is extremely hard to find things. Just as an example, I struggled with as simple a task as printing. It is not at all obvious to find the print button. No other application I use makes this as difficult as your new UI.
    2. This may either be another example of point 1, or the function is missing. Where is the button to display info about the application? The "About Acrobat" button? I can't find it.
    3. The application wastes massive amounts of my screen space. Stick to the purpose of the application and just display the document. I don't need…

  3. Provide ability to hide the Tools Pane to increase the field of content.
I review and markup engineering drawings and other documents. Some of these are quite large. I need the maximum amount of content in the window. As long as I can access the comment menu in the tool bar above, I have what I need.

  4. Can we please have the ability to draw real shapes (rectangles, circles, etc) in the Edit PDF view? I know that we can draw these shapes in the Comment view but it's not good enough - doing it that way makes it impossible to adjust certain aspects of the shapes (like, "Send to Back" or "Bring to Front" - those options do not exist in the Comments view, but when you go to the Edit PDF view, shapes that were drawn in the Comments view are untouchable. They are always on Top and obscure anything else that is in the PDF…

  5. Adobe Acorbat Pro DC is so slow it is almost unusable. I am ready to find an other .pdf creator. I have tried every fix found in the forums and nothing has substantially helped.

  7. There will be no time ever in which I will open a document in Acrobat Pro and want an AI summary rather than reading it. The entire point of opening is to read it, not your guess of what it says. I do not want this feature, I do not want it popping up and offering me ****** AI "tools" I don't need it and it slows me down to actually have to click past it to get my work done.

Please disable all this AI slop by default.

  8. This whole feature is a distraction. We cannot be so busy that we must now have artificial intelligence helping us with our jobs. The pop-up is always in the way; I can't turn it off no matter what I've tried from the recommendations, including reverting back to the "old" Adobe; the prior version of Acrobat is so old and has been out of use so long, now I'm trying to retrain where to find the simplest tools. I was happily used to using the newer version, until this AI piece was added in. Please get this out of here; it…

  9. When the system setting on macOS for "Show scroll bars" is set to "Always", Adobe Acrobat does not honor this setting.

If you toggle the setting in macOS system settings to another option and then back to "Always", the scroll bar shows up.

If you close the PDF or Acrobat, or open a different PDF, the scroll bar disappears.

The scrollbar should always be present on all PDF's when this setting is checked in the macOS System Settings, OR an option should be available in the Adobe Acrobat preferences with similar functionality.

  10. If you go into a saved document and change something you cannot save it you have to save it as a completely separate document. i.e. I edit one line to be italicized and hit save and I get a pop up error that states, "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

    1) I am the only user
    2) I created the .pdf document yesterday and did NOT make it read-only.

  12. Bug.
Windows 11. Acrobat version etc. are represented on the screenshot.
Steps to reproduce: a few pdf was opened and all except one has been closed.
Result: there are many Acrobat app entries in the Windows taskbar instead of only one (for the last still opened pdf). See screenshot.

  13. Acrobat is pushing their users to BlueBeam. the new interface added NO user benefit, but made commonly used features harder to access, and switched toolbar sides for no benefit, and obnoxiously forces the floating toolbar to cover your document while leaving the top bars empty. If Acrobat ever removes the "Disable new Acrobat" I will be switching to BlueBeam.

  14. New Acrobat UI no longer has the option to open to open multiple files in separate windows and defaults to multiple files as tabs in one window. I found the option of great use with older versions. Please bring back this option.

  15. Yeah, so you know those "helpful" tips that pop up in little blue boxes when you start the program? Those are annoying. There is nothing in Adobe Acrobat that is not too straightforward to understand, and I do not need help using the program. Please add an option to disable these.

  16. The GIANT icons! The in-app sending that doesn't work! The childishness of the design and interface! The distance from the powerful controls that I have come to use and count on from decades of using Acrobat pro and seeing it grow in capacity and power.

    Every
    Single
    Time
I open this, save a document, send a document, reset the screen again to show thumbnails, I curse you all.

How can it be both harder to use and more childish?

    Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused !

Could you please let me know the exact issue you are facing so that I can suggest a workaround.

    Thanks & Regards,

  17. Please create an option in Acrobat DC Pro for highlighting and/or marking text without also automatically creating a pop up comment.

  18. I genuinely am not enjoying the new UI on Adobe. It is clunky, time-consuming, not intuitive, and really quite difficult to navigate. I know it's new, but I've been using it for weeks now and really am struggling with it.

  19. Go back to the old layout appearance as this new one sucks. You have taken what once just lived in the old file menu bar, hen taken it and shifted repeatable functionalities to the right hand side bar in the previous "new layout", but this "new simplified" layout takes that and now gives you two side bars and almost no functional "settings" adjustments you can make all from one place. You have decentralized all the settings, options, and tools thus making it look more sparse but in actuality making it less simplified.

    Do better.

Don't change the appearance and functionalities…
