Change default lookup link for selected word definitions in Acrobat Pro and Reader
Currently the default lookup reference for word definitions in Acrobat is dictionary.com, an inadequate resource for a great many word definitions. There should be a setting to change this default to another URL of the user's choice. Some examples, but not exclusively, that are significantly better than the current choice would be merriamwebster.com or oxforddictionaries.com

ai assistant
PLEASE stop making this thing pop up at me. I do not want it. Every time I open a document it bugs me to "summarize" it or give me info on it, but the info it gives is incorrect, wrong, and purely made up. It's a stupid, useless tool built on stolen data. Stop shoving it down my throat. I have no need for a inaccurate summary of anything!! What benefit is that?

AI Assistant
You promoted a silly "AI Assistant" with an upgrade and it takes up space for no reason as it doesn't support all languages except English.

This new interface sucks.
Put it back the way it was. Changing the way it looks does not help and makes it harder to use. I am wasting my time looking for stuff. This new interface sucks.

Turn off floating toolbar
The Top Toolbars can be turned on and off using F8 and F9, but how do I turn off the pop-up floating toolbar. I don't need two copies of the toolbar on screen

Make it possible to hide and remove Generative AI button.
Despite having disabled generative AI in the preferences, it is still not possible to remove or hide the generative AI button. It does not help that I am trying to use Acrobat for academic purposes, for which generative AI is against academic integrity.

The new design of Acrobat is horrible. I am glad there is disable button.
The new design of Acrobat is horrible. Every important button is lost. I am glad there is a way to disable it.

AI helper
Disabling the AI assistant is actually what you should do. Even though I've disabled the AI assistant in the settings, I continue to receive pop-ups asking me to summarize the documents I'm trying to read. In addition to blocking the content I'm trying to read, these pop-ups make the basic program less usable, such as when it comes to scrolling, Chill Guy Clicker. Additionally, when the assistant is disabled, the small chat bar at the bottom shouldn't be there. For heaven's sake, please make this right. AI is not necessary for everything. I'll use Chat GPT if I need…

Bring back the old Interface
Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

**** annoying pop ups
Stop with the unsolicited 'try this' pop ups. You aren't google or a CNN website. I don't pay an appalling amount of money to use your service for incessant popup windows

Bug - PDF Tag Panel does not match Reading Order Tool by marking all Tags as Span
This issue of InDesign and Acrobat incompatibility in regards to Acrobat displaying all spans even when the Reading Order is correct has been around for over two years. We deserve to know what Adobe is doing about it.
Acrobat Team acknowledges the problem and blames InDesign:
"It's actually not an Acrobat issue, it's an issue with InDesign and how it's generating the Content that Acrobat is displaying correctly"

Acrobat needs an append option... or at least print multiple docs to a Portfolio
Acrobat needs an append option... or the ability to print multiple docs to a Portfolio.
All of the competitors have an option to print multiple files and add to single document. Acrobat even allows you to append scans to exiting pdfs. Why is there no option that does not require you to save multiple pdfs and then combine them. Seems easy enough... but when you have users refusing to switch platforms because they email statements to customers all day, the added steps of saving and combining documents would literally add hours a day to their workflow, You are not going…42 votesWe have taken your feature request. bookmarks
Don't open bookmarks by default!
When opening a document that has bookmarks embedded in it, the bookmarks panel opens automatically (and slowly) and takes up a third of the screen. It's infuriating, takes several seconds before it can be closed, and is completely pointless. Ditch it, or make it take up a tiny fraction of the screen space. I hate the way Acrobat prioritizes bookmarks over every other aspect of the interface.

Don't take away "Open documents as new tabs in the same window"
Okay - so this morning, Acrobat decided to switch into "new acrobat" mode. Yay! Except for the fact that all of my documents open in new tabs in the same window now - which is terribly inconvenient for me. What's worse, is that the option to turn this off has been removed from Preferences. 30 minutes ago, I could go Edit->Preferences->General and clear the "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" option. Now, after it switch to "new acrobat" mode, this option is no longer available. So I switched back to "old acrobat". Boo!

Convert pdf to a EDI (835) file
Working in the medical field, it would be extremely helpful if I could convert a pdf to an EDI file. This would allow me to upload the file into the EMR system and auto post payments.

Adobe DC terrible design of program
The new install of Adobe DC is terrible. There was no reason to change the user interface and make the program so MAC Like.
The changes to the interface are causing our agency to incur tremendous down time and loss of productivity. Nothing about the new user interface is intuitive or helpful!
Is there any way to reinitiate the older menu driven interface? We can not even utilize the certificate signing that was used regularly with the previous version of Adobe Acrobat.

Comment Tools / Custom Tools
I would like to be able to lock the Comment Tools and/or my personal Custom Tools to the top of the Toolbar so they automatically show up each time you open a .pdf file. I use the Comment Tools quite frequently and it would make it much easier if I don't have to add them each time I open a .pdf file. Also, it seems strange my personal Custom Tools show up on the right side of the file. I would think they would show up on the top Toolbar.

Allow larger file sizes than 10 MB
The current limit of 10MB seems fairly small in today's age. Previous explanations that the document will be emailed and/or opened on mobile devices that can't handle large files is pretty much moot now, because both can typically handle larger files (say 25-40 MB).

More user friendly arrangement of Quick Tools area
I have just installed the latest "Acrobat Standard DC", and I'm disappointed to find that still the way in which you have to personalise the "Quick Tools" area is not user friendly.
Apart from having a mandatory set of icons on the left (I can't see an easy way of removing them), the way you have to add / remove icons is annoying - right-clicking on the quick tools bar then selecting or deselecting an item to have the menu disappear so you have to right-click and find the item again and again...! Then not being able to change the…41 votes
