  1. I can't get the number of pages to show up in the navigation pane/tools. In previous versions it was where the hand, arrow, and + and - buttons are. Is there some way that I can get the number of pages in the document without having to open thumbnails and scrolling down to see the total number of pages. Usually there was a box with 1/200 pages etc. Thanks!

  2. Good afternoon. I need to create hundreds of 1 page certificates. In MS Word I use the Mail Merge to include the participants names and signature. I convert all of them into a pdf file. With Adobe Acrobat Pro, I bookmark every certificate with the participants name. Before the name, I need to write "Certificate" so the name of each pdf would be for example "Certificate Joe Doe". I do this manually in the bookmark part. Then, in the Organize Pages part, I split them by Top Level Bookmarks. In Output Options, I wish there would be…

  3. When using Acrobat DC and Preview concurrently; performance on DC is by far inferior. Scrolling, rendering, etc. is very slow and is evidenced by high CPU usage.

Upon further inspection, Preview delegates this workload to the GPU and provides a much smoother user experience.

This suggestion is to implement CPU/GPU resource management to improve user experience.

  4. Instead of having a drop down menu for Fit to Width Scrolling and Fit One Full Page, place them side by side so that I don't have to click in and out, in and out, in and out.

  5. An option to delete the original file after splitting it into individual files would save time. Every time I split a PDF, I then have to go and delete the original file. On top of that, if I have split a PDF using 'top level bookmarks' Acrobat asks me if I want to save the file when closing it. So there are 2 steps that could be avoided by setting one option 'delete original file after splitting'.

  6. When I use Adobe acrobat Pro to read pdfs on my tablet or touchscreen laptop it can be awkward to easily switch between scroll and highlight. Perhaps integrate smart tap features like for other adobe fresco, e.g., three taps to redo, two taps to undo, one finger to select, two finger drag to scroll. Also I keep needing to undo my highlights because I'm uncoordinated! Rather than always having to go into the drop down menu please make undo more accessible. Currently there are all these other buttons visible that i never use, why not something i use all the…

  7. The frame that pops up when editing forms (at the right) is a fixed width. Which means, if you have long field names, you have to scroll horizontally back and forth to review and edit.

Would be great if this frame was made adjustable!

  8. Changes to the toolbar that would actually be useful — allow users to choose the positions of each button they want in the toolbar (preferably by drag & drop); give the option to show/hide labels for the buttons; provide for at least 2 rows of quick tools, and for small and large buttons. Allow the user to decide where the thumbnail and bookmark panes are positioned — left, right, or even below then document pane. I hope the new Acrobat Pro changes to these features are short-lived — they are going the wrong direction.

  9. A user's viewing preference should be able to override the creator's preference. I should not have to adjust my zoom preference every single time I open a new document or even select a new page from the bookmarks menu. The creator choosing a micro 43% zoom standard is stupid and forcing the reader to go through a bunch of extra unnecessary steps when you could just make the user preferences override those of the creator in terms of viewing formatting.

  10. Please restore this functionality - in XI it was in Edit/Preferences/Page Display. There is no way to know the page size without hovering the mouse in the lower left corner. Odd-size page sizes hang print jobs, wasting time and resources. It was easier to quickly scroll through 100+ pages and look for the oddities. Without this, we have to check every single page.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. Please write us in case you face any issue.

    Best Regards!

  11. When zooming with the scroll wheel, Acrobat freezes and I get a spinning beach ball. The files I am working with are not large, but they do consist of lots of lines/content streams sometimes. If anyone can offer support for this, it would be greatly appreciated. I encounter this issue multiple times a day and it appears to happen only if I am trying to zoom with the wheel right after it opens and Acrobat is still trying to load the creative cloud profile, or when I have been working in the file for a period of time and try…

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
Kindly share with us your machine details and Acrobat version.
Also please provide us some sample files on which you are facing this issue

  12. Please make it easier to disable settings permanently. Incuding AI pop ups.
Also the tools menu automatically pops up on the left of the screen. And now bookmarks show up on the right. Both obscuring the document.
I have to manually close them both to view my document. Fine if you are only viewing one document, but really annoying when viewing several. I can't find the options to get rid of them completely. Please make these settings easy to find and use.

    1. Since the indexing will index the all multiple pdfs. Type ahead search should be supported. Instead currently the user has to type and enter search for the search results.
    2. Since the indexing will index the all multiple pdfs. Type ahead search with number of hits found should be shown before hitting the search
    3. Searching should be as fast as google. 10,000 pdf files of 100kb each and type ahead search should be less than a second
    4. Other than scroll bar for navigating the results there should be a easier way to filter the search results.
    5. Grouping of folders wise doesn't…

  13. I download quite a few PDF files, typically ordinances/statutes/other regulations. Many files are quite long. Is it possible to automatically bookmark the chapter headings/articles/sections/subsections/etc? If not, it would be a very, very attractive feature to add. Even if it requires a few clicks to get the settings right. I'm sure adapting some of the redact features for this purpose would not be too big a stretch for the developers. Maybe?

  16. In Adobe Reader, don't use the text color from the document in for the text in the bookmark pane UI, as it may make it hard to read depending on the selected theme. Instead, use the same color as the rest of the UI. Or at least provide an option.

  17. This version is unusable due to unstable flickering, with slowed down response to page scrolling, freezing search, or black rectangular shapes covering the whole page or partially the content.
At this level, there are no ideas to be suggested since the very basic functions are affected

  18. It would be really great to open documents with much larger thumbnails, similar to how Apple's Pages software shows them.

I download a PDF of a daily newspaper, which often has nearly 200 pages. I'm only interested in a couple of sections, so I like to quickly scan the thumbnails.

    • Currently I can increase the thumbnail size, but it's a multi-step process that needs to be repeated several times.

    • Enlarged thumbnails display text in a rough, jagged way, it should be much smoother.

    • When scrolling thumbnails with a mouse, enlarged thumbnails float horizontally in a really annoying way. I'd like…

  19. In Acrobat 9, the "comments" window displayed the COLOR of the corresponding sticky note (there was a small sticky note icon in each window that showed the color of the corresponding note). It was possible to quickly view and navigate to related pages/sections of the PDF even if the page was not directly viewable; I could quickly scan for all comments that were associated with a RED sticky note, or a BLUE one, etc, by simply scrolling through the comments -- it was not necessary to view the actual page of the PDF to check the color of the sticky note.
