1. Personalised message when sending Adobe Sign Document

   I wish to have a personalised message when sending a document for signing. At present I can free type a message on each document, but I would like a generic and predefined messae to replace

2. Set 'prepare form' properties to preferred defaults for all future forms

   When converting a .pdf into a fillable form ('Prepare Form') please create an option to set properties so that Acrobat will always apply my preferred properties as the default.

   It is inefficient to always convert the font and other properties to the settings I prefer for the forms I design.

   I am aware I can set defaults for fields once the form is prepared and then duplicate this in a given form. I am also aware that I can multiple-select fields and change the properties for a group. However, I'd like a more efficient default-setting option, please.

   EG: I use Arial for work forms. The 'Prepare Form' creates fields with 'Helvetica' as default. I want to set the 'Prepare Form' field defaults to always use Arial, irrespective of the .pdf document.

4. Remember / make default sorting order in advanced search

   When you use Advanced Search, there is an option at the bottom to choose your sort order: you can sort by Filename, Date Modified, Location or Relevance Ranking.

   The default is Relevance Ranking, which –to me at least – is by far the least useful, since, unlike the others, it basically reorders the files you’re searching in with every search, so you never know what order your files are going to be in.

   And there’s no way to change the default (as acknowledged by an Adobe employee here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/advanced-search-default-sorting-acrobat-pro-dc/m-p/9914022).

   And then even if you choose another option, Acrobat FORGETS this immediately once you search for a different term. Goes straight back to Relevance Ranking. Extremely frustrating when you’re performing many sequential searches and would really like to have the files you’re searching in appear in the same order every time.

   The entire Advanced Search window is a huge mess of terrible UI design and missing functionality, but the inability to have ANY kind of impact on how your search results are listed is probably the worst. It makes Advanced Search an absolute nightmare to work with.

   PLEASE fix this glaring omission!

7. Default installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro to include all features and components

   Microsoft blocked-off standard users being able to add features later (to the installation from CCDA - eg PreFlight to allow production and verification of PDF/A). This was by blocking MSI repair and feature additions for standard users. MSI being run by SYSTEM/local admin from a full installer and configured to simply pre-install everything does work (eg ADDLOCAL=ALL).

   We have now deployed the 64-bit installer as enterprise-managed, as all-inclusive, as above.

   Also, we need to either:

   • Hide the CCDA installation of Acrobat Pro (because the default does not include all features)
   OR
   • Have the CCDA configurable to install all features/components by default, so we will not need a separate enterprise-managed installer.

   Needs to work for Windows 11 and later, and also for Windows 10 for clients on extended security updates (ESU).

8. Choose option to Default Save As to the last saved folder

   using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, I save pdf documents from emails to folders on my C Drive. I have to always browse to find the right folder as I do not want to store in my windows Downloads folder. Ideally there would be a setting to default the Save As to the same folder as the last saved pdf. This is because when saving many pdf documents they often will go into the same folder as the last pdf saved. At least this way around 50% of times, the folder will be the correct one. If people always use the same folder then it will be correct 100%.

10. Hi do I set Acrobat Pro DC open .pdf docs by default?

    All my .dpf docs now open in MS Explorer. How can I restore Adobe as the default program to open .pdf docs?

11. Thumbnail size: set larger default

    It would be really great to open documents with much larger thumbnails, similar to how Apple's Pages software shows them.

    I download a PDF of a daily newspaper, which often has nearly 200 pages. I'm only interested in a couple of sections, so I like to quickly scan the thumbnails.

    • Currently I can increase the thumbnail size, but it's a multi-step process that needs to be repeated several times.

    • Enlarged thumbnails display text in a rough, jagged way, it should be much smoother.

    • When scrolling thumbnails with a mouse, enlarged thumbnails float horizontally in a really annoying way. I'd like to lock it to only scroll vertically.

    I switched to Acrobat Pro because Apple's Pages program started rendering blurred text. With all of the features of Acrobat Pro, I'm surprised that the one thing I want to do with the software is such a clunky process and I can't change the defaults.

12. Default hide navigation pane

    If I can't figure out a way to stop getting a massive bookmarks pane EVERY SINGLE TIME I open any file I am going to set my computer on fire.

    The Wizard won't do it. Edit > Preferences > Restore last view setting when reopening documents won't do it. I can't mess with the system registry on a work computer so that won't do it. Do not tell me to tick the restore last view setting box.

    Look at this bookmarks pane. Look at it.

13. How do I make Adobe the default program to open documents - using iMac Sierra 10.12.5

    I was using a different program as the default program to open documents but I don't like it so I want to go back to Adobe but I can't figure out how to change it, it doesn't give me the option to make it the default program even though I deleted the other program, now it defaults to Preview.

14. Default Page Thumbnail Size

    I am coming from Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 and started using Adobe Acrobat Pro Continuous Release (latest and greatest?). My only real complaint is that Pro 2017 would keep the last thumbnail size and panel width when opening new documents. Our office uses Adobe to extract documents using the page thumbnail feature, and now we will have hundreds of employees having to readjust the thumbnail size/panel width for every new document. This is going to add hours of work per day on a feature that Adobe removed for... some reason? Please bring back the feature or add an option in Preferences that we enable. Thanks!

16. Option in Preferences - when a pdf is created with attachments - autodetect & change default opening view property

    Please add a default option in Preferences that auto detects that a created pdf has attachments and sets the opening property to show attachments...

    Same for bookmarks... If the native record has bookmarks for sections, have a property option to auto populate bookmarks in the pdf and set default property to open showing bookmarks

    Instead of a default property to either show attachments or bookmarks upon opening, create an option to show both bookmarks and attachments contemporaneous upon opening, if the native document has attachments and bookmarks.

17. Setting feature for portrait or landscape as DEFAULT OPENING FEATURE

    Please create a feature where you can change settings so you can choose your default for opening and viewing documents. This way you have the option of Landscape or Portrait. Currently, you only have the option of Portrait, then you must edit to Landscape. It causes projects to be cut apart, and you're unable to move pieces from one page to another. This would be the best alternative, especially when working with Excel spreadsheets. Thank you so much for taking the time to look over my suggestion. I hope you find it useful as well.

19. Restore choice of default view opening pdf for first time (e.g., 2-up cont. scroll)

    Acrobat DC is better than 11.x in many ways, but one lost feature is the ability to default opening documents viewed for the first time with 2-up continuous view (or other choices). Downloading pdfs from many sources, pdfs may be single page, single page scroll, etc, with bookmarks or menus open or closed. Acro11 actually worked when setting this default to 2-up. In DC preferences/page display/default layout & zoom, setting to 2-up has ZERO effect on documents opened for the first time. They open in the default of the provider. Please make this function WORK, as it did in v11. It does remember to re-open for user in the view in the previous instance, but that's not good enough. Wasted time and clicks every single download.

20. Collapse "navigation pane buttons" bar by default

    Hello friends. Firstly (coming from X on Windows 10) I think the new Acrobat UI is very cool! I have been able to customize almost completely to optimize for my work. I'd like to request a new feature I can't find (but if exists please point me to the solution). I'd like to open a pdf and have the "navigation pane buttons" completely hidden by default. Currently when I open a file I can click the small arrow on the left to collapse the "navigation pane buttons," but I'd really like this closed by default. I have bad eyesight and maximizing the size of the file on startup is important to me. Even that very small 5 to 10% I gain from collapsing the "navigation pane buttons" helps tremendously. I would use the control+H feature and use "Read Mode" except there is no way to disable the floating page navigation bar that pops up. I become extremely distracted by any type of animations in my workflow (gives me vertigo and nausea) and although I wish I could, I cannot use Read Mode as a workaround at all. Thanks in advance for considering this idea, it really means a lot to me!
