Stop showing all text boxes when adding text
Previously, when adding text, you could click anywhere and add the text. Now, with the "improved" adobe, when you select add text, it shows all text fields so if you need to add text within a paragraph (like when adding details to blank lines in contracts) you have to add to the side and drag and drop. It has more then doubled the amount of time I take to do my contracts and waivers now.
Just revert back to when adding text you can just click to type anywhere and its not showing every single text box on the page…

Adobe slower
Since the update this past week (October 2018), Adobe has made it harder to find things that used to be easy to find, and now it takes forever or completely lags when I try to find whether I have sent something to someone using the interface on my desktop for the old Send and Track feature (which apparently is now called 'Share' another renaming that threw me off this week). As a small business owner, I don't have time for this bull. If you're going to rename things, send us a required video for viewing of changes you're making and…

Windows 10 Free Drawing with Pen
I ordered a pen interface device for my PC (Huion 420), excited to be able to handwrite/draw notes on PDFs, in addition to typing notes on them. However, when I have the device plugged in, the free drawing tool stops working. I can click with the mouse or try to draw with the pen/pad device. Nothing shows up. The drawing tool does, however, work with my mouse when I unplug the device. This bug is one of the main features preventing me from using Adobe Acrobat as my primary note-taking software in medical school.

Allow Categories in the Floating Toolbar
I do a lot of re-ordering and re-arranging of PDF documents. In the "Old Acrobat" interface, the green "Organize Pages" button was in a narrow column of easily-accessible buttons on the right side of the screen. I could snap into the Organize Pages view, rearrange my pages, and snap back into editing. In the "New Acrobat" interface, the only way to access this feature is clicking the "All tools" button, which eats up a good chunk of screen space, and click "Organize Pages."
Either give us an icon-only view of the "All tools" bar, as the old Acrobat …

new acrobat for mac very slow
Acrobat 2023.006.20380: Since upgrading to the 'new' look acrobat, it is much, much slower, to the point is is basically frozen. Any document over 10 MB is unusable. I often deal with image-rich documents >50 MB and these are impossible to navigate and edit, whereas in the previous version this was totally normal/easy. Please fix this or revert to the previous version until the new version actually is practical for users.
Thanks.(on MacOS Monterey 12.7.1).

REVERTING MENU SETTINGS OF TOOLS DURING AN UPDATE = REALLY BAD
Reverting the menu settings for the TOOLS to the users settings after an update.
-should be done as part of each update.
-put as an obvious option when exiting any setup of tools in the menu system to backup the registry somewhere as i have just now been advised of. really not a good option.want a reason for this, arrange for more feedback with me.

Full-screen view doesn't support two pages
In Adobe reader, I select Page Display -> Two Page View on a large wide monitor. I then select Full Screen mode, and Reader forces me back to one page - after I've clearly indicated I want two. Why? This is an obvious user interface bug.
2 votesHi,
Since we haven’t heard back from multiple users on this, We are closing this thread.
We’ll revisit if we hear back again on thisThanks

CPU starvation / Program not responding
The user interface of Adobe Acrobat Standard becomes unresponsive after opening this document. The mouse cursor changes to the "busy" cursor, task manager seems to show full CPU utilisation of a single core, and the only means to recover is to force quit the program.

Fix the Organize/Extract feature
In the new interface, when selecting the option to "Organize", the highlighted thumbnail is not the current page, but rather page 14. This is true regardless of which page is currently being viewed when opening the "Organize" tab. Secondly, when selecting "Extract", two identical selection menus pop up. One being the new interface style and the other being an older "compatibility" style.

Icelandic OCR
In fact, all languages supported by the open source tesseract project should be available to Adobe customers. Better yet, Adobe licenses OCR from I.R.I.S. S.A. and meanwhile Readiris 17 has support for 130 languages, including Icelandic. Time to update or lose some license restrictions and move open source. What are you paying for, other than sub-par technology? Tesseract is a project supported by Google with an Apache 2.0 license.
Foxit and ABBYY Finereader also have support. Adobe is severely lagging behind here. The tesseract engine is particularly good at character recognition but does not have a very nice interface.…

Default Save As
DUPLICATE SUBMISSION WITH ATTACHMENT EXAMPLES
The Acrobat Reader DC basic version has a very helpful "Save as" function where it brings up a user friendly window with 4-5 recently used folders, as well as the option to then browse further for another folder if needed. the Adobe Acrobat DC PRO version has a very different, very limited "save as" usability, where it defaults to a temp internet folder (that i cannot even find), which i will almost certainly never use as well. As far as i can tell there is no way to set a different default save as location…5 votesHi,
If you wish to see the Save As dialog in Acrobat as per the “Save as ok” image shared by you, Kindly do as follows.
1) Open Acrobat → Edit → Preferences → General
2) Select the Checkbox “Show online storage when Saving files”Try to Save as any pdf and check that you’ll see this dialog.
Let me know if that solves your concern. Also please let me know the current version of Acrobat DC that you are using.

Old UI was Better
Basically the old Adobe Acrobat Reader UI was significantly better and it continues to get worse. I often hop from PC to PC and every time I need to reinstall Reader I have to go and hunt down the settings to change everything back. It's taxing. Obnoxious. Here are the most important key changes that I have to make every time:
The toolbar used to be docked at the top of the screen with tools like select, highlight, page navigation (back, forward, page up, page down), zoom, etc. Now it is a floating pane. I need it docked at the…

OCR in multi-language document
I have scans from archival documents in a pdf which range from a few to almost 200 pages. These pdfs contain documents in English, German and French. The interface only gives me the option to choose either whole document, or single page, or a page range. Which means I have to repeat the settings innumerable times. Many printer interfaces allow for multiple page selection as in '1, 6, 8-13, 25-37, 39, 52' and then these pages are selected. It would be great to have that in the OCR interface on Adobe reader. Being able to do that for multiple…

How can this be reverted back to horizontal? An example pic was included, showing the now vertical toolbar. This location is extremely inconvenient and I have users complaining to me.

25.001.20531 Bug Metadata
25.001.20531 Bug Sharepoint metadata no longer pops up a window at save as under the Sharepoint added location.
Under this version, if you disable new acrobat, it will still popup Sharepoint metadata window.
Should not have to revert to old acrobat just to use it properly.

Remove "Create" Button On Top Menu Bar
Please go back to the old interface! Or let us customize where all the buttons are located and if we want them to show at all. The new "Create" button on the top bar next to the document tabs takes up so much space and is so sensitive that if I have more than 3 documents open at once, I can't move the window around on the screen. You can only click to the right of the tabs to drag the window on your screen and now there's a big create button and 4 icons that don't really need…

Stop playing around with new layouts and menus!!!
Is working at Adobe really that boring that your developers change menus and layouts ongoing, just for fun, forgetting / letting out functions?
Maybe the last step for us to go for an alternative with the whole company.
Maybe your developers should go for a training reg. does and donts reg. user interfaces,.14 votes -
Change the "update" button to "upgrade"
While installing Photoshop and Lightroom today, the installation screen showed that I had an existing install of Acrobat DC. I've never heard of Acrobat DC... so I assumed it must be part of the Acrobat system - and I elected to update the installation by pressing the "update" button. Unbeknownst to me, it uninstalled my Acrobat Pro XI and installed a trial version of Acrobat DC. I called the Support Line and waited AN HOUR AND A HALF to speak to a tech support representative to find out how to revert back to my Pro XI. By the time I…

WTF are you thinking?
I could not possibly hate what you are doing to Acrobat more than i do. It is like you let children that have never done professional work design your interface. It is terrible and comical in a tragic way. You took a great program and made it a JOKE. ******** for allowing this to happen. This forum is a perfect example of how you have completely abandoned your responsibility to be accountable. This is a useless place for comments.
