  1. I've noticed that when you send out a document to be filled and signed the text boxes do not enter onto a new line when the text reaches the end of the box but instead continues on the same line, off the page, so that you cannot read what everything that has been typed. This is a serious issue and, I would imagine, should be a fairly simple fix. Very irritating and potentially hindering to business.

  2. The scanning feature and text recognition has become very faulty recently and can't even detect text on a document that has been converted from Word. This means that it is impossible to search certain words using ctrl+F and when trying to highlight a specific word or line it just highlights half of the page. Please could this issue be looked into as this function used to work fine.

  3. I, like many other users whose posts I have read, absolutely hate the new Send for Signatures functionality. I had my agreements and information gathering forms all set up using the Prepare A Form tool. Before, when I opened the document, it worked perfectly and all I had to do was enter a recipient, attach multiple docs and click Send. It was wonderful! NOW--all my forms' prepared fields have been overwritten!! In the new version EVERY field is defaulted to the signer, radio buttons are converted to text fields or deleted entirely and multiple …

  4. If there was a refresh button maybe that would help. As it is now, I have to get into to Form setup and back out again, or keep on clicking on various fields until the correct values show up.

  5. New Acrobat Object Properties dialog has a Text Box for "Alternate Description for Links" which does not seem to work when using the Read Out Loud feature.

InDesign now exports Link Alt Text to the /Contents property under the "Tag Element > /K > [0] > /Obj" hierarchy. This "contents" tag does not seem to be recognized by Read Out Loud.

Shouldn't Alt Text go into the /Alt field in the Tag Element top level?

  6. After completing an editable form with no restrictions and fillable fields in Acrobat DC, the data typed into the fields does not save. The form is blank when the document is saved and then reopened. Even when "Save as Other" --> "Reader Extended PDF" --> "Enable More Tools" is turned on, the data in the fields cannot be saved. This is a frustrating and time-consuming issue since users must complete the form, and if there are any errors, must then complete the entire form over again from scratch. I have now wasted more than two hours…

  7. Place image (click field, browse for image, image selected, fit with options to Fit Proportional to Image and Fit proportional to frame) in fillable, save-enabled PDF form via READER, not edit via Pro. This is to allow end users to place a logo in a standardized form (sponsorships, partnerships, etc). To limit this to Pro as a layout option only is such a waste.

  8. When marking up PDFs, some clients want text to be immediately visible "on the page," i.e., in Callouts and Text Boxes vs. added with the less easy to see Insert Text at Cursor or Replace Text functions. Sometimes the text I need to add is just a single comma or hyphen, but the default bounding box size is much larger, and resizing these by hand is time-consuming. I'd like an option to fit bounding boxes to their contents without having to edit box sizes by hand. (Text Boxes autofit if you click and drag with the Text Box tool…

  9. Suggestion:

    Give text fields optional labels.

1.) Only small, medium, or large font size.

2.) Placement of left, right, above or below text field.

3.) Character limit of 25 (or something small).

The most common work-around option is using read-only text fields, however that gets messing when viewing the form in "prepare form" mode.
Keep it simple if necessary, but simpler label options for text fields are wanted.

  11. Date field not working in Polish Acrobat Reader DC, Acrobat Pro 2020, Acrobat Pro DC and probably many others similar to those mentioned here. Calendar does not pop up after clicking on date field when Polish UI is set. When user interface language is set to English date field works properly. Even months names and week days names are translated in Polish.

  12. Acrobat DC 64-bit, version 2022.001.20169.
    Windows 11 Pro, 10.0.22000 Build 22000 (Updated on 2022-07-25)

Bug: The "Make Hand tool select text & images" option doesn't work on Acrobat DC 64-bit. In Hand tool mode, it can't select text and images.

    Steps to reproduce the bug:
    1) Turn on the option "Make Hand tool select text & images".
    2) Change to Hand tool and try to select text in any simple PDF file.

    Expected result: Can select text

Observed result: Can't select text as in Acrobat DC 32-bit.

  14. Preprocces to recognize features of forms such as boxes with or without checks and the boxes around fields.

I scan image documents to be able to search for technical reviews or to export them to excel, access, or word. Current situation: On forms empty or full check boxes are frequently recognized as text and the text is wrong and takes a long time to correct. The same occurs with text near boundaries around form fields. If form type features such as check boxes and field boundaries can be recognized by a scanning algorithm very different from…

Thanks for the suggestion. We will look into this. We will update you once there is an update.

    Thanks.

  15. Should create a new mid level tier of Acrobat, call it Acrobat Desktop or something similar, and offer a $20/year subscription. Include basic reader functionality but add the ability to add text to existing PDF documents. As a casual user that might need to fill a form a few times a year I cannot justify a Professional subscription at $20/mo, but a basic Desktop subscription for $20/year I would sign up immediately.

  16. I cannot get rid of the panel and continue preparing a form after clicking the X to close the panel. When I close the panel, it goes to Edit mode which does nothing for me. So, then I hit prepare a form mode then that huge panel shows up again. I do not need this panel to prepare my form all the time. What I do need, is to be able to see the actual pdf page zoomed in and all my thousands of small fields that I can see and adjust.
In the previous version, I was able…

  17. There is no option to increase the text size of a measurement!
Would like to send someone a pdf with measurements however I'm pretty sure they won't be able to see it. On a fit-to-page screen, the measurement text looks so small, that it seems like a continuation of the red line. The person receiving this won't always be proficient, they might not realize what the red line is unless the measurement can be clearly seen.

  18. Ok here is the issue,

When I edit PDF file using Arabic text, everything ( to some extent is fine )
But if I just saved the file, then try to edit it again
( i.e. Change font, Change Color, Change size, edit the text it self )

Arabic letters would just go wrong, attached an image showing the issue.

I noticed that this only happen if ( Tashkeel ) is used.

I had the same issue on both Machines : Mac OS & Windows 10.

Also PDF attached with an example,
if you just tried to change the …
