  1. The new layout is not good for many of my routine tasks and is creating all kinds of trouble for me. I need to be able to hide toolbars in some cases and put toolbars at the top in others. This would allow me to maximize the size of the document on a vertical monitor when needed. Honestly, did you guys get any voice of the customer before making these changes?

  3. I have to drag and drop alot of pages between pdfs. I keep forgetting to open the page thumbnails view in the new pdf before dragging selected pages to the new pdf. I have to stop go back, open pages thumbnail and then redrag the pages, which is unnecessary. If I hover over the page thumbnails icon in the new pdf with selected pages, it should just open in my opinion.

  4. BUG: In the convenient user-friendly previous version of Acrobat, a user could turn on the highlighter and then double click on a word or triple click on a paragraph to select, then move to the next segment to highlight.

In the current please, for God's sake roll it back, version of Acrobat, when trying to highlight by a double, a popup with a bubble, color chooser, and trash icon pops up before it's possible to double click on the word. It's impossible to dump the popup of useless tools to mark the word. ESC does not work, clicking around it…

  5. After updating Acrobat XI Pro to 11.0.21, a form that previously worked now crashes when undertaking different actions. The same form works in Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.20, and the latest version of Acrobat DC Pro (as at 08/18/2017. The crashes occur when selecting an item from a drop-down list [the crash occurs at a point in the script where a rawValue is extracted from a checkbox, i.e. Page.SubForm.Checkbox.rawValue; however, even creating a variable referencing the Page, i.e. var page1 = Page; appears to create the error.] It also crashes when closing a page, event.target.closeDoc(true).

  6. Can you add a "Save As" in Adobe Acrobat Pro?

With the new update, I can only "Save." Sometimes we want to make multiple copies which is why the "Save As" feature is so important.

Adobe Scan app has been released. Anyone can install it from app markets for IOS and Android phones. Closing the thread.

  8. I cannot use the new mode. I cannot find the updater. I had to reinstall Adobe Reader. The new mode is intolerably difficult to use and needs a rocket scientist to find anything.

  9. It should be easier for people to download the files I share on document cloud.

I often have trouble with people (over 40yo, usually working in PA or some papers office) not accepting my Adobe links. They don’t seem to be able to download files. I did check it there was some issue and I saw that the download button has a very poor affordance, its icon is way narrow and it barely looks like a download button. It’d be amazing if the button had a label eg “Download pdf” to help out less digitally educated users.
    Thank you

  11. I'm working on a confidential PDF document, locally on my encrypted drive, and accidentally clicked on the "link" icon which immediately began sharing the document to the cloud. There is no cancel button. There is no way to stop it. My only recourse is to wait until the file finished uploading to cloud storage, and then manually delete it. This is a serious privacy violation.

First, uploading a local file to cloud storage should be simple, but not so simple as inadvertenly clicking an unlabled icon in the toolbar.

I know you're seriously pushing people to use your cloud storage,…

  12. UX design used to be to provide the best possible functional interface to allow the end user to be as productive as possible. The latest Adobe Acrobat interface flys in the face of these standards. It has moved menus, hidden functionality behind icons and in the name of looking cool or nice has ruined my productivity.

I never comment in these forums, but what you have done with the latest interface is so dysfunctional that if you worked for me I would fire the lot of you.

  14. When I drag an excel file to the Adobe dock icon or attempt to create a PDF in Acrobat I get an error of a duplicate file in the temp folder.

I've tried clearing out the temp folder. Also, I've reinstalled Acrobat and Microsoft office. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

Please try it out and let us know your feedback.
Thanks for your patience and support!

    With Best Regards!

  15. Using the February 9th version of Adobe Acrobat DC, when I try to add a signature from image in Fill and Sign the image is pixelated and blurry. When I do this on the document cloud, the image is full resolution. Can you fix the bug on the Fill & Sign tool so that we can insert images as signatures at full resolution on the desktop app.

  16. Acrobat is not working with BPDX files to update a search index.
I call acrobat.exe with a bpdx file passed as an argument, acrobat launches,
and then the window appears as it did before attempting to update the index.

However, when I manually run the pdx file it updates the index without issue.
How can I resolve this issue?

  17. I open a pdf and go to tools > prepare form> open then select a form.

As soon as I click on 'add a field' or an existing field, a stopwatch icon appears and Adobe closes. So I can't edit a form which makes a fillable pdf form impossible. Given the fee I pay every month I am NOT happy.

Yes I have the most current version, Yes I tried the 'repair Adobe' option.

  18. The Home menu is terrible, and continues to get more and more cluttered with every update.

First, why does my "Recommended tools for you" list, default to AI every time I open this app, and I have to click an arrow to the next page with the actual tools. I am so sick of companies shoving "time saving" AI down my throat that actually just ends up wasting my time.

Second, I would love to be able to set favorite tools, rather than these recommendations. They are truly terrible. What are they basing this suggestions on? I have never…

  20. Acrobat on Mac currently doesn't update through the CC app like all other Adobe apps do. I'm attaching a screenshot of a pop up message I've seen a couple of times over the years where I've gone to restart my Mac to be informed that without my knowledge, Acrobat was installing in the background and I couldn't restart. When pressed for a deadline this was especially unappreciated but further, I do like to have control of when and what gets updated.

I’ve taken the steps of turning off the auto update within the Acrobat settings, however, the application is…
