  2. It would be great to have the Layers feature in Acrobat. That way a person could always have signatures visible and not hidden behind a form field!

  4. Customer can place an image in an image field but cannot delete if wrong image was chosen. Please add 'remove added image' or enable to create ability for image field to add an action so customer can delete the wrong image. I am getting complaints from customers! Thanks.

  5. Using 13.1. Don't know if this is an Acrobat or an InDesign issue, but recently noticed that if I have text that flows to 2 lines and that has a hyperlink behind it, in Acrobat, the tags show the link as having two Link-OBJR, but they are the reverse of reading order. So if you tab the page, you go from 2nd line of text to first. So,

    'Go to

    the store'

tabs as if it is 'the store' 'go to'. The underlying link is fine--no issue there--it's the tab order and tag order (tag order perhaps then impacting screen…

  6. Bug report - Text highlighting-Acrobat DC - when sending to iPad or iPhone-highlight is solid not transparent when receiver opens the file. I use Acrobat DC Version 19.010.20069 and this is a recent issue as I have been highlighting and sending pdfs to people with iPads/iPhones for years. Not sure if this is something new with my Acrobat or something new with an Apple update. I have sent the file to both my own phone and iPad and my clients are correct - wherever I have highlighted in Acrobat it completely covers the text with a solid yellow box over…

  9. A tool for single click conversion of 2-column text to ingle column text would make the read out loud more useful. Have I missed such a tool? Does such a tool already exist? MS word read out loud evidently suffers from the same problem.

  10. I have several computers I'm using Creative Cloud on. I can't keep up which is signed in and out. I work a lot with pdf forms. What happens is I'm filling an important form and suddenly Acrobat DC just quits without any warning, not asking whether to save. All work is completely lost and not retrievable! Then I can normally do the sign out from other computers and sign in the current computer (with my Adobe ID), but it's too late, the work is already lost.

It's a terrible problem and should be fixed immediately.

    If the user has…

Thanks for your feedback. We are looking into this. Meanwhile could you please let us know whether Acrobat which is not signed in quits immediately after launch or after a while. If it quits after a while, could you please let us know the time period say 1 minute or 5 minutes or more which Acrobat takes to quit on launch.

  11. Unfortunately Acrobat DC buries an important tool; the ability to select text. I believe it is hidden somewhere, but I have yet to find it. It is very common to want to select some text in a document. Why bury a common task deep within the program? There seems to be the trend these days with software to a have a minimalist interface and bury the most common tools. My toolbar has the least commonly used tools as standard.

  12. When comparing two pdfs, identical text will be marked as changes if footnotes have changed location (by changed I just mean bumped to the bottom of a different page due to increased or decreased length, even though the marker is the same place in the text).

This is a function of the fact that Adobe sees footnotes as part of the text and so thinks the ordering of the text has changed.

This is related to the issue where Adobe does not maintain footnote status of smaller text at the bottom of a page (often under a line) when…

  13. When PowerPoint files are converted to PDF, all shapes containing embedded text that were excluded from reading order in PowerPoint are being tagged inappropriately during the conversion to be read by assistive technology anyway. Tagging and reading order as specified in PowerPoint should be carried over to Adobe PDF, and if text is marked to be excluded from reading order because it is actually decorative, this should be honored in the conversion process. For example, we use callout markers that consist of a solid circle with a number embedded in it (1, 2, 3, etc.). The numbered circles are excluded…

  14. The redaction properties allow you to specify custom "overlay text" on redaction marks.
This request is to add a feature for "overlay image" to have an image included on the redaction marks.

  15. KDP/Kindle/Amazon reformats PDFs badly--photos are scattered + mal-sized, text overlaid other text (espec. after photos). Could Adobe put attention on this problem, plz. Editing PDF in Adobe does not solve problem. (Consider: Would creating smaller original PDFs (in Kindle size, for instance) make converting to Kindle, or any small format, more accurate?)

  17. I recently had to install Adobe Acrobat Pro and I would like to be able to remove the icons and replace them with text only menus. If I wanted to look at hieroglyphs I would tune in the Stargate series on MeTV.

Is there a way to change preferences or an add-on that will remove the box-of-crayons-colors icons and display text menus automatically? I don't use the application often enough to memorize the mouse-over texts. It's tiresome enough dealing with texter's shortcut abortions of the English language these days. I'd rather not have to play a game of…

  18. Its very annoying that you can't replace a page in Acrobat without losing page numbers, text boxes and images. This would be very helpful. Also just trying to copy and paste a text box is an absolute headache.
