  1. When I want to edit an object in an external editor, the tool ”Edit using…” only shows ”Open with…”.
Illustrator/Photoshop is not shown in the list as it used to. It makes no difference if I set them (or any other compatible app) as default editors in preferences.

  2. Fix Read Aloud to operate at a basic level of functionality. It's incredibly balky--pauses for no reason randomly throughout the text. No choice of voices; the default voice is mediocre. Speed is capped at 2x, which is too low. Take a look at Microsoft Word's Read Aloud function for inspiration.

  3. Please restore the scroll bar for the comments sidebar in Acrobat. The scroll bar is now hidden by default, but it's jumpy and hard to access. I now have to use the arrow keys on my keyboard to move up and down within the panel. It's become much harder to use in the redesigned interface.

  4. Using iMac running Catalina OS, latest update and Brother MFCL3770CDW. When I create a document from scanner in Acrobat, the scan command triggers the Mac scanner interface. While black & white scanning works fine, there is a consistent error message when attempting to scan in color. The message is that the color profile chosen is not supported. Since I cannot choose the color profile, I am not sure what to do about this. It is a major headache.

  5. Most PDF documents I open are for viewing (prefer to open in DC Reader that is got my preferred tool bar arrangements) and seldom for editing (which can be 'open with' DC Pro). Since I have both DC Reader and DC Pro installed, it does not allow me to 'open with' DC Reader anymore, even though I get option on the right-click to open menu.

  6. I work in several files which all get marked up in a standard format (red boxes with an red x stamp to note issues that need further review or actions to resolve). All the mark ups from all the documents need to be closed before my process is complete. It would be ideal if i could run a query across multiple documents (like a whole batch of folders) on all the comments made with the same criteria options currently available in a single .pdf comment filter and it be packaged in a comment summary file that has links to jump…

  7. As someone who has getting older and hard to see the tools, it would be spectacular if I didn't have to toggle to the pan button every time I open a PDF. Who want to select things by default in a PDF? Or at least have a preference so the user can select the desired tools to be set. I work with large plans, and it's my preference to be able to pan by default. I don't want the select tool active as it can select lines and get inadvertently moved. All you need to do is in Customize…

  8. Hundreds of thousands of businesses use flowcharting software (such as draw.io, Visio, LucidChart, etc.) that allows you to create HORIZONTAL flowcharts, project management swim lanes, and more.

Unfortunately, Acrobat currently only allows VERTICAL "Single Page Continuous" scrolling in the Page Layout options.

For multipage horizontal documents, it's hard to track the right side of the previous page with the left side of the current page.

I'm proposing an additional Page Layout option called "Single Page Continuous Horizontal" (and maybe rename the current option to "Single Page Continuous Vertical) that allows us to scroll HORIZONTALLY through ALL pages in a document.

  9. Dear Adobe Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement for Adobe Acrobat regarding the Bookmarks panel width adjustment. Currently, every time a PDF is reopened, the Bookmarks panel resets to its default width, requiring manual resizing each time. This can be inconvenient, especially for users who frequently work with PDFs that contain extensive bookmarks.

I kindly request that Adobe Acrobat include:

A setting to customize the default width of the Bookmarks panel, allowing users to define a preferred size in the application preferences.
An option to remember the adjusted width after resizing, so that the panel remains at the…

  10. When highlighting, offer the highlight to be bookmarked.

Highlighting is done to something worthy of attention and therefore having need for later recall and return. I am reading a 200 page document and I have liberally highlighted interesting parts of the text, many on the same page. Now how do I revisit those highlighted parts? I am having to scroll through the entire document page by page in full page view to do that. A bookmark created while highlighting would serve that purpose perfectly. The name of the bookmark would be entered by the user if he wishes (some default

  12. Since you provide features that do not actually work without intervention, it would be useful to have real-time support instead of sending message to your "dead-letter" office.

  16. Allow users to permanently hide the navigation pane when opening all documents. Allowing uses to set this specific to a certain document is only slightly helpful and only to people that work with the same documents over and over again, allowing for a default setting for all documents makes much more sense

  18. Please make commenting fonts lockable so that when you share a PDF, someone else can see your comments in a specific font. The default font (Segoe) is not great for in-depth text editing, as some characters, like curly quote marks and apostrophes, are not as easily distinguishable from their straight counterparts as they would be in serif fonts.

  19. When scanning a new document, Adobe automatically pulls up the latest document when you have multiple Adobe files open. Adobe then automatically checks the box "Append to current document". This can cause unwanted pages added to a separate file that is being worked. Suggest you fix Adobe so that the Append Box is unchecked as a default and/or "create new document" or "append to current document" options are added that do not pull up the last open file automatically. Then if the user wants to Append to an existing document, they can, but it is then a conscious decision. I've…

  20. The adobe acrobat functions are amazing. I think the user interface needs to be improved. I think there should be a way to set a "default" opening folder. Start screen where it shows RECENT|STARS|SCANS. Also I think you should allow folder creating at higher level. So that you can do something "like" Google Stacks.
