1. Combining PDFs from Windows Explorer

   In the past, I have been able to select multiple PDF files from a Windows File Explorer, right-click, and "Combine files in Acrobat DC..." However, lately it no longer works. The Acrobat DC program will open to the home tab, but then I have to go back to the explorer and redo the process, then it will work. So, it appears the program needs to be open before the combine PDFs option works. Is there a way to fix this, so it will open the program and go to the combine files tool immediately, other than repeating the process twice?

4. Feature request: Search within multiple OPEN documents

   I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro ("Continuous Release" version 21.11.20039.0), I understand how to search multiple PDF's, but I want to constrain the search to multiple OPEN PDF's. I don't want to look in ALL the files in a folder, and I prefer not to move the relevant files to a subfolder (although that is the workaround hack I have to use for now).

   You should add a feature that allows the user to search within OPEN documents. Please and thank you

   (User context: I am working on a review article, and citing various published studies. I can't remember which one of 4 papers within the folder full of 50 papers I've read for this review that referred to a specific subject. I want to simply open the 4 candidate papers and search them to find the key word. I don't want to search all 50 in the folder, and I don't want to move these 4 to a subfolder just for this one little search.)

5. 'Reopen PDFs from last session' doesn't function properly

   Sometimes it works and sometimes it only opens a few files from my previous session.

   I suspect that you have to close Acrobat in a very specific way for this function to work properly. For example, if I close Acrobat while many files are open, and, after half of the files are already closed, a pop-up asks me if I want to save an unsaved file, 'Reopen PDFs from last session' will only open those files that were still open before saving the unsaved file. As such, all the files that were closed prior to the pop-up will not be re-opened. This is not how it should work.

   The last 'session' to be re-opened should be defined as all the files that are open when the user closes Acrobat. E.g., if there are 10 files open and the user clicks the 'x' to close Acrobat, ALL 10 of those files should be considered part of the session, regardless of any pop-up that happens as those files are being closed.

   As any academic will tell you, this functionality is critical. I can easily have 10 to 15 files open at a time. And since Windows requires so many restarts for their updates, the ability to easily re-open the complete previous session would be very appreciated.

6. "Mark up" PDFs -- not "edit"

   Editing is not really the correct word. For millions of users, we simply want to "mark up" a PDF by, say, underlining a sentence. That was dead easy with Adobe Pro XI. Now seemingly impossible with DC. Constantly get image processing error messages. No customized user toolbars, as with Pro. Basically DC has been over-thought. 99% of users want the basic functionality of Adobe Pro XI.

7. Cannot Combine Adobe PDFs through Context Menu

   Cannot Combine Adobe PDFs through Context Menu

   I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and when trying to use the right-click context menu to Combine Adobe PDFs into a single file, Adobe Acrobat DC opens up, but nothing happens for 1-2 minutes. This will happen whether I select one file, multiple files, a small file (100KB<) or a larger file (>2MB). I need to combine PDFs as part of my daily duties, and waiting literally hours every day to combine my PDFs is horribly inefficient.

   Versions: Adobe Acrobat DC Version: 21.007.20099, running Windows 10 Pro Enterprise (GC) 1803.

   One would expect that the 'combine files' would work quickly for 200Kb files, but it freezes Windows Explorer and crashes if any interaction is made with it.

8. Adobe PDF Writer randomly leaves out things

   When creating a document by clicking save as Adobe PDF in word, I am finding that it will randomly leave out sentences in the final product. It is very prevalent after photos and section headings. See the examples attached.

9. PDF produced by Sibelius is displayed correctly, but prints badly, an unacceptable disparity

   I am using MacOS Big Sur 11.6 and Acrobat Acrobat version 2021.007.20099.

   The attached "Ful Score" PDF is displayed properly on the screen by Acrobat, but Acrobat prints it badly. I also included two screenshots, a *.png of Acrobat's display of the PDF (which looks OK) and a pdf produced by scanning a physical printout of that same PDF printed by Acrobat, which shows that Acrobat prints the file really badly.

   The PDF was produced by Sibelius. I might say Sibelius was at fault for producing a bad PDF (probably with layers, but I'm not sure of the internals), except for one important fact:

   The latest version of Acrobat displays it correctly and prints it badly. That disparity means you can't trust Acrobat to show you on the screen how it will print. That's really bad news. It means the software is lying to the user, who won't find out until after it is printed. Or even worse, until a customer on whose website you posted the file (because it looked fine in Acrobat) tries to print it and goes berserk -- lawsuits or other kinds of attacks are inevitable.

10. don't hijak my session because you want to scream about a new feature i don't care about because i've got a bunch of work to do and don't it

    figure out to keep the open page one size instead of broadcasting a bunch of features i don't want. don't lock-up my session insisting i tour your garbage signature feature.

13. Allow the action wizard to "Save a Copy"

    Action Wizard is missing the option to "Save a Copy"
    This would be helpful to recreate files tagged with security labels that have had their fillable fields removed.

14. BUG: Acrobat PDFMaker - Microsoft Word - Bookmarks

    With WORD (2016) and PDFMaker:

    When creating PDF maker and asking it to convert the Document's Headings / Styles to Bookmarks; It does not include some characters in the bookmarks.

    Characters such as Non-Breaking Hyphen. There may be others also.

    [ Special characters are inserted into work using INSERT > SYMBOL > MORE SYMBOLS > SPECIAL CHARACTERS ]

    Also the Case of text characters is taken from STYLE information, rather than from TYPED characters (I.e. from the FORMATTING, rather than the DATA). If for example the style specified all text in UPPERCASE. Then the bookmarks will be also in UPPERCASE.. Even though in Word Table Of Contents and Document Map it is not in all Upppercase and use the typed characters (not STYLE's UPPERCASE transformation).

    With WORD (2016) and PDFMaker:

    Tool buttons should also collapse the Tools Pane not just expand it. Thus, you can eliminate the "Close" button. It's more intuitive to expand and collapse from the same button. This behavior already happens with the Navigation Pane buttons.

17. Always unable to edit in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

    My organisation pays AUD$200 or more for my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC licence and I am unable to edit PDF documents. I have tried everything I can think of and consulted online help. Why are all the edit functions greyed-out? I have printed the PDF file to a new PDF file but that did not help.

18. cannot save the file

    There is many ticket about save as problem.
    When you try to save as, you just get the blank sheet. The same thing occurs when you try to share file. I cannot take a capture because the blank sheet disappear when I open the snipping tool.
    This problem has been years but now it has been for months. To save the file I have to print pdf as a file by windows. This is not long term solutions because I lost the pdf preferences.

    I have paid Adobe creative cloud, adobe acrobat DC and distiller DC. The program is up to date.

    Windows specs:
    Windows 10 Enterprise which is up to date including Windows Feature Experience Pack.
    Device specs:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz
    16,0 GB (15,8 GB usable)
    HP Elitebook 830 G7. 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.
    No pen or touch input is available for this display

19. Links Broken after uploading to Adobe Sign

    I have a PDF that conforms to the 1.6 pdf standard. The pdf contains 4 links that link to other pages within the same document. When the document is uploaded to Adobe Sign and sent for signature and re-downloaded, there are 2 problems with it:

    1. The number of annotation links is doubled.
    2. The initial links are all broken.

    I have attached a copy of the original document and the document after its uploaded to adobe sign and sent for signature.

    Repro Steps:
    1. Open "Initial.pdf" and use the "request a signature" menu to send it to Adobe Sign.
    2. Send it to a valid email and have the user sign the document.
    3. Download the signed pdf.
    4. Observe

    Expected:
    The links within the pdf function as before.

    Actual:
    The links have been changed to URLs which point to incorrect locations.

20. Acrobat Pro DC on Windows PC - Exit program on final tab close

    For Windows PC, please provide a General Preference Option to close/exit the Acrobat Pro DC program when closing the only open tab/document.

    We open a document then review, save and close it. The program window remains open thus blocking the desktop and forcing us to exit the program manually. While that sounds like a minor inconvenience or inconsequential, in reality its very frustrating and time consuming. We consider it to be a Quality of Life issue that disrupts workflow processes and would like to see it resolved.

    An option to "Minimize window on final document/tab exit and maximize window on document open" would accomplish the same goal.

    For Windows PC, please provide a General Preference Option to close/exit the Acrobat Pro DC program when closing the only open tab/document.
