1. Help

   I'm a realtor and I'm paying for adobe to break up my documents and disclosures for my file. It doesn't allow me to do anything as it says i need to get permissions. All i want to do is separate the pages. Why do i need permissions? I've had this for 3 months now, and I'm not able to do anything I need it to do. People tell me its great, but will it not work for realtors? I can't even have my people e-sign when I'm with them as it needs to go through email. I've seen some agents do it... so i'm assuming it's not adobe?

2. custom settings for scanning

   Revert to 2017 interface for scanning. if i want to switch between one side and two sides, I have to change the default setting each time. same with page size. I attached the older interface. Much easier to use.

3. Fillable Form

   On fillable form being sent out to individuals would like the ability for the receiving party to attach a document to the completed fillable form and both be returned to us at the same time.Acrobat Pro DC does not offer a field under the Actions tab, Add, of a Text box for a File>Attach File.

5. Make Comments Private

   Can you make comments private? i.e I want to send PDF to A&B via cloud, but I dont want A to see B comments and vice versa. Is this doable?

   So there is no way to 'segregate' participants? I am wanting to share a file with people who I do not want to be able to see other participants comments. So what is the point of sharing I hear you ask? I want to share with internal staff, but only want external invitees to comment/mark up without seeing the internal discussion about what they have to say, as it may be 'sensitive'. We dont want 2 versions of the document, one internal and one external. We just want to have more control with what information is availabe to read.

6. Adobe is not opening paint program when I select "Edit Using" "Microsoft Paint".

   It used to work fine until a couple of weeks ago. Now I get the following popup "Adobe Acrobat cannot start the image editing application you've specified. Verify the image editing application location on the Content Editing panel in Preferences". I did as instructed...and added the path to MS Paint program. I restarted the Adobe DC several times, but keep getting the same popup. Every time I go to check the Preferences, it shows the correct path. Adobe just fails to open MS Paint.

   Happy to share that this issue has been addressed in the latest release (Sep 2022)

7. Elevated rights in C:\Program Files should be demised

   Elevated rights pose possible vulnerability with applications which grant these privileges in the C:\Program Files. Acrobat DC creates the folders below and grants everyone “modify” rights. to these folders:

   C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\COMMON FILES\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache
   C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\COMMON FILES\Adobe\SLCache

   The following scenarios are presented:

   1. Install Acrobat DC but do not launch it. Modify the rights and remove full control. Acrobat DC will not launch.
   2. Install Acrobat DC, launch it. Modify the rights. Acrobat DC launches with no issues.

   Is there a way to modify your application so it installs without having the full rights present?

9. compare pdf

   For ComparePDF, I hope there will be a way to make this side by side view switch to vertical. So I could be looking at comparisons this way (combined two screenshots below):

   I'm looking at financials with small font, so each line of text is fairly long.

   In Side-By-Side view, zooming out makes the text too small; zooming in makes half of each line out of view.

    Display problem
    The attached file shows correctly in other viewers and prints correctly from Acrobat. Also exports to image correctly. In Acrobat the transparency is gone.

11. BUG / Expand to see Thumbnails / Acrobat 2020 Standard (PC)

    This is a bug. When I go over the vertical bar (column) on the left side of the window to make the Thumbnails, Booksmarks and Attachments icons visible, I have to be in the perfect spot to click on it. Otherwise, Acrobat won't let me click even though I'm on top of the bar. Please fix - this should be easy to both reproduce and fix.

12. No online tethering

    During the hurricane, when we were without internet service, I still had to keep working at home for my job.

    I have Acrobat 2017, so it shouldn’t require access to the “cloud” to work.
    Yet it ran astonishingly slow, so much that I had to force quit several times when it froze my computer.
    I ended up using Apple Preview because it worked properly, as advertised, without slowing my system. It is a productivity application. Apparently Acrobat is no longer in that league.

    I bought this version so I wouldn’t have to be tethered to the “cloud.” Why was that happening?

    Sure enough, when the internet came back on, the application worked as usual.

    You cannot tie people’s hands requiring internet access to use your product.

    My work computer has no connection to the internet, intentionally. How can I upgrade to a “cloud” application if I can't use the app without crippling my functionality and workflow.

    Convince me that I’m wrong. Sell me your “cloud” product.

14. Save Signed Form as Cleared Unsigned Version of Itself

    I want to be able to take a filled out and digitally signed (by somebody else) form and save it as an unfilled and unsigned version of itself.

    Many times I have had to go searching over slow company intranet for a blank unsigned version of a form because the only ones I have locally are signed versions. I've even had to re-do letters from scratch because either I didn't save a blank version, or accidentally saved over the blank copy without thinking about it. I know that we can't clear a signature that is not our own, but would it cause a global cyber security crisis if we had the ability to save signed forms as new blank versions of themselves?

    I'm not talking about saving over the existing version, but creating a new version that has all fields and signatures cleared. Is there a cyber surety reason that states once a form is filled/signed, it is illegal for somebody to save a blank unsigned version of it? Or does it have to do with how the form gets encrypted once it is signed that makes it impossible for somebody else to remove the signature and filled in fields?

    The fact that there is no format painter on Adobe is insane. Microsoft has it, google has it, it seems like everyone has it except you. why don't you? It would save so much time. Just put the dang thing.

16. Option to disable "helper" popups

    The blue popup boxes that come up when opening/editing PDFs may be helpful for new users, but for experienced users they are everything from useless through condescending and all the way into genuinely in the way of working. I for one don't need to have the 'Add Text' button pointed out for me when I am editing a PDF, or a box come up and say "This looks like a form". I know what I'm working on, and the popups are as unwelcome and unhelpful as Clippy.

    All we need is a little checkbox on the blue boxes saying "Do not show tips" or an entry in settings to make them go away.

17. Can't create or add a signature

    I'm unable to create a signature, when I select 'add signature' my screen grey's out and i'm unable to do anything. It doesn't move past this, and then I have to escape out. Is there a work around?

    1. Your OS details.
    2. Version of your Acrobat. Go to Help > About Acrobat.
    3. Can you try clicking on Next inside Fill and Sign app and check if you are able to create a link.
    4. Please try to sign out and then sign in again.

20. Erase in Paint and Edit in Adobe

    In an earlier version of DC I could erase the wrong information in paint, save and close that page. Go back to the original document open a text box and enter the correct information. I try this with this new version and everything messes up. I was in a chat with one of your techs yesterday for almost 3 hours trying to do what I need to do in the 2020 version of Adobe DC. And it looks horrible, takes a lot of time and I hate it. Please Please Please fix this. I have been looking at peoples complaints and suggestions for hours trying to find this. I would like to know if you can do something with this before the trial is up and I go back to my other version. HELP!!!!
