  3. Hello, I've created Indesign interactive PDFs for many years (mainly lecture course material), until Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.010.20098 all went well. After the update to 2019.012.20034 all files (from the last three years) with movies in them crash with the error:
This PDF cannot be viewed in Acrobat or Reader, and the application will
    now exit
This is horrible news for our university, can you please help? Obviously we made sure that Flash etc is up to date. Also we tried different security and multemedia legacy options.
As a "work-around" we are currently re-exporting all Indesign content to fixed…

  4. The title and the attached picture show the problem. I use Windows 10 with 64-bit and Acorbat Pro. Everything is up to date. I have tried everything I could find on the www, but to no avail. Preview pane and everything else works fine, just the desktop icon looks ugly. Even if it is a cosmetic problem, I wonder why it worked with 32-bit and why it seems to work with Windows 11, at least on my wife's notebook.
It just doesn't look nice with the white background.
Maybe it's quite easy to fix by Adobe programmers. Would you…

  5. I am using Adobe Acrobat on a Surface Pro 2. The scaling is horrible, with dialog boxes too big for the screen and options inaccessible. I gather the height of the Surface Screen is not within your specification. Please can you enhance the dialog boxex so they display fully on the screen. I also use Captivate and this is fine. Dialog boxes display properly.

  6. You can add folders under the "Your documents" but not under the signed/ complete documents under "All Agreements".(you also cannot move signed/completed documents into the folders you created under "Your Documents"). I have hundreds of signed agreements and I have to pull old ones back up frequently. Trying to find one in that mess is very difficult.

Also, you cannot filter completed documents by title or keyword, only by date.

  7. The 'What's New' popup occurs with every new document opened even if Adobe Pro is already running. It is horribly annoying. If it is supposed to turn off once you review the pages, that is not working. Please add a mechanism to 'turn off notification'. I assume that Adobe is not posting new features to the product every 2 minutes.

  8. Ever since getting Adobe Acrobat DC Pro (version 2019.010.20100) on a new Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise client , any time I open a PDF to do anything (edit, PDF, Organize Pages, or just leave the PDF open without selecting any tool), I have about 45 seconds before Acrobat locks up and is unresponsive. Every time I have to close the program. I have to go to another workstation running Windows 7 Professional SP1 and use Acrobat Pro 2015.006.30456, which runs flawlessly. Do I have to make a request to roll my machine back to Windows 7 in order to solve…

  9. My attempts to use Acrobat were the most frustrating experience of my 31 years on Macs. The program crashed constantly. Simple operations proved to be obtuse and non-intuitive and the layout of the tools, together with the process of interacting with the program, is very badly thought out. The tools page opens a page of cheesy icons resembling something from a children’s book, and why, for example, would anyone hide the ability to insert a rectangle under ‘comments’? Crazy.
I spent almost a whole day (consulting Adobe help files and online sources) just trying to bring an image to the…

  10. Minutes ago, I got a desktop notification from Acrobat asking if I wanted to change the default PDF handler to Acrobat Pro (I don't). However, the button on the notification alert simply said "Show." I clicked it, thinking it would open Acrobat and give me a choice to "never ask me again." Instead, it opened Acrobat and said "Successfully set Acrobat to open PDF files by default."

This is downright user-hostile. Adobe, stop using these terrible deceptive patterns! We are literally paying you hundred and thousands of dollars and you treat us like garbage.

  11. The new Adobe Sign has messed up so many of my documents so far that it's amazing. Just today, the "date of signing" customized entry with "dd" was completed and appears as "57//" somehow. How does that even happen?

  12. This is more of a complaint. This new e-signatures feature you all put in for the PDFs has messed up the ability to enter information into fill sections. I can't change the information in the fill sections anymore.

Overall, could you all just stop messing with stuff for a little while and let us get used to whats already there? You all have added so many new features and stuff that it's becoming convoluted. Just stop. Ya'll doing too much.

  13. Nothing in Acrobat DC feels natural or with a glimpse of intuitive. Adobe tends to override OS given interface interaction limiting it to its Adobe application which is by itself insanely unintuitive. I mean who drove you [the engineering team] to this Interface? Ugly, bloated and counterproductive, not to mention the lack of customization. But this is a path clearly visible in all Adobe applications. Either Adobe reduces its Applications to nearly zero (Lightroom = the *** Cloud version for Desktop) or bloating it until needlessness (Illustrator).
It just creates anger and hate to the one that must accept…

  14. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, unlike its vastly superior predecessor, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, is extraordinarily poor in the file management window department.

The search functions are terrible, and it is not possible to sort documents by the various parameters. Nor does it 'remember' what folder you used previously, so that you are always having to search back through the folders to get to where you want to be. It's very hard to figure out where you are by looking at the top of the file folder screen. Basically what used to be a great UI, is horrible.

    The…

  15. As in any other Adobe Application, I would like to be able to choose the number of Recent files I want to show on the start page.
I know it's really easy and quick to implement. Please be gentle and make it soon.

This feature is important because I don't want to see all my recents files (that I may have renamed or changed directory) in this menu, I find that ugly and not useful. But this is personal.
Sharing a more general opinion, I think Adobe software tend to have a lack of coherence between them. That would be…

  16. In "Orgamize Pages", the functionality is horrible. Bookmarks don't work (they won't go to their point page and cannot be set)! Search doesn't work either (you have to exit to full view to find terms)!

I want to be able to see my searched term highlighted within the Organize Pages view AND I want to see a list with previews of searched-term with surrounding words AND I want to set and use bookmarks while having a birds-eye-view of the doc.
Nothing else works when in Organize Pages and the view is practically UNUSABLE. There is a TON of blank…

  17. I have had multiple PDFs made in indesign with REALLY SIMPLE .mp4's just refuse to play. In this one, the second video plays fine, but the first will NOT play no matter what I do. I've switched the video, I've reexported it, I've deleted the contents of the page and started over, and it still just sits with that ugly loading bar whenever I open it up in acrobat to test it out. I work with video regularly, and this happened last week when I tried assembling a few videos for a project for another client. All of them loaded…

  18. Why did your programmers decide that the Adobe Creative Cloud is no longer accessible to Adobe Acrobat Pro paying customers? First, you raise the price, then you update the program and took away the title bar—horrible new design. Now, you are taking away access to the Adobe Creative Cloud. Please respect all of your paying customers by keeping our access to the Adobe Creative Cloud possible. We are paying more money for less accessibility to Adobe products. Thank you.

  19. As an everyday user of Adobe Acrobat, I cannot tell you how absolutely annoying and frustrating it is to click through new "helpful tips" and "notes" and "Got It!" screens. It's driving me mad. It's at the point where the owner and I are searching for other e-Signature solutions. Please, please, please, PLEASE stop creating so many new notifications of all the features that I have to click through every time a select a menu option. Horrible user experience. Thank you

  20. Most of the time, I've had no trouble with conversions of scientific graphics in Microsoft Word to the corresponding PDF images. This time it was really messed up! I've attached the Acrobat DC conversion and a similar conversion with another PDF converter program. The latter was a faithful translation of the Word image.

    Can this be fixed?
