  2. To reproduce:
    1. Create a PDF with an embedded version of Bitstream's Charter font included with macOS or OSX.

    1. Open the PDF in Acrobat.

Expected result: normal display of the font. The PDF displays normally in Apple's Preview reader.

Observed result: Many glyphs in italic and bold italic will be incomplete (missing terminals), smeared, or the strokes will be too thin. E.g., "B, F, Q, U, a–z, 4, ?," en dash, em dash, etc. Other glyphs may have problems, I have not tested them all.

Tested on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 with Acrobat DC and Reader DC, both version…

  3. Highlight shape is functionally broken

    Brief title
Text highlight appearance is functionally broken and makes identification of highlighted text arbitrarily and unnecessarily difficult.

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    Highlight some text

Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.)
    OS: macOS 11.6.8
    Architecture: x86_64
    Processor: Intel
    Build: 22.2.20191.0
    AGM: 4.30.120
    CoolType: 6.2.4
    JP2K: 2.0.6.50420

    Expected result
Text highlight should make it absolutely unambiguous which characters are highlighted and which are not.

    Observed result
Acrobat apparently sacrifices basic, fundamental functionality in the name of… what? Aesthetics? See attached image for comparison of Acrobat behaviour with a couple of normal, non-user-hostile apps.
    As…

  4. As of today, it is not possible to run OCR for wider images. Please re-consider this limitation.

  5. When distilling attached Postscript the generated PDF shows error when opening. I have narrowed it down to an image which has imagemask set to true as well as mask array in it. This is incorrect as per specification.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.0.0.

  6. I would like to print actual size large document in a tiled way on a printer in Acrobat Pro. Illustrator has a Placement feature so you can drag your image around to print the exact area needed and repeat until you have the whole image printed to be assembled later.

  7. Copy Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome's vertical tabs feature for open documents. I often have many tabs open and documents which have been saved or named similarly - especially the first few letters of the filename. This makes navigating between documents difficult because you can't see enough of the file name or title. You have to remember them based on the position of the tabs (which of course changes as you add tabs).

Also, I would like to be able to edit the file name or the file title directly from the tab, even with the document open.

  8. There is a problem with extracting single pages from particular PDF documments. Attaching the test.pdf file.

Extracting a single page from it (view->tools->Organize Pages->Open and you can do a drag & drop page to windows explorer) we are getting a pdf file with same file size as original but with only one page.
It seems that its not removing all jpegs from the file.
Attaching also sample file with extracted one page.

Files are generated by FPDF library and got a replay on their forum: "That's probably because FPDF uses the same Resources dictionary (containing all images) for all…

  9. I used to deskew in Adobe Acrobat Pro whenever I OCR'ed a document. And the deskewing worked so well: every page would be rotated a tiny amount and usually the improvement was noticeable.

In Adobe Acrobat DC (on macOS 10.15.7), the "Recognize Text" function no longer performs deskewing. So I OCR and deskew using the "Enhance" function under Scan & OCR:

Scan & OCR > Enhance > Scanned Document > Deskew

However it doesn't seem to work. Although the Deskew feature is turned on in Filters under Settings, when I run Enhance, it doesn't actually deskew. (And worse, unless I…

  12. Description: We've received feedback from our Users stating that they cannot edit recipients during signature process once they move to the Add fields and Preview section. Users are then forced to close the window and launch the signature process again to have access to the recipient's section. If there's a typo on the email, or if additional people need to be added as CC, they are not able to make the necessary corrections/additions.
Note: This is BEFORE clicking the SEND button, in other words while preparing the document to send.

  14. Hi,

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro - Build: 18.11.20040.280397, operating on MACOS High Sierra 10.13.4, with a MFC Brother printer.

all of a sudden I can't print any files unless I go into advanced settings in the print dialogue box and change to print as image?

I have updated my mac, my printer and adobe acrobat with no success. I have attached a screenshot of the error msg in my printer queue.

    Hi Bert,

Could you check if the following steps works for you?
    1. Open Print dialog
    2. Click on “Advance” button
    3. Select “Postscript Options”
    4. Change “Font & Resource Policy” to “send for each page”
    5. Print your documents

    Thanks
    Ritesh

  15. A preset setting to paste copied elements in place would a valuable improvement.

  16. Don't force installation of McAfee or try to be sneaky with Adobe Reader.
You guys are better than this. Don't associate yourself with this bloatware ****, otherwise soon Adobe may find their image tarnished as bloatware-related. At least for me, it's making me consider alternatives to PDF.

  17. had to reinstall Acrobat DC and now a plug in that we use, all the icons in the menu are displayed as broken image icons. uninstalled both and reinstalled still no difference. Plug in is fine on 2023.003.20215 64bit, but on the 2023.003.20244 is where the issue is.

  19. Hello:

I would really appreciate if the Adobe team would consider implementing either the ability to allow custom keyboard shortcuts or assign default keyboard shortcuts (i.e., hotkeys) to shortcuts on the toolbar.

If the second option to map hotkeys to toolbar shortcuts is implemented, I would really appreciate if by pressing the Alt key I could bring up a display of all shortcuts available. For example, please see the Microsoft Word image: if I press the Alt key, it displays all available keyboard shortcuts.

The reason for my request is that I have the "Take snapshot" option added to…

  20. For a shared document, the menu providing the 'copy shared link' function won't load, no matter how long you let it sit. I have to go out of the document, to the 'shared by you' tab in order to copy the link.
